gaming Which "Grand Theft Auto" game is/was your childhood?

The one I remember most is San Andreas...Didn't play much of III or Vice City, even though I played them too....by the end of it, I had found all easter eggs, had billions of dollars(cheat codes lol)...

While my two favorite GTA games are III, and Vice City.  But GTA III was the first one I played, on my PS2, I thought it was so cool. The mayhem, and destruction had not been seen before then at least on consoles.. except for maybe Mortal Kombat..this was just before the ESRB started rating games..

 

But GTA III was just so gritty, and dark. Loved it.

GTA 2. It was awesome. My friends trashed it just because it was from the top-down perspective. Fools, they have no idea what they missed. I sunk many, many hours into it, most fun i've ever had with a 2D game.

Mine was San Andreas. It was very difficult playing the game for an hour or so and then going off to work or running an errand as I always had a pressure to run people off the road or put a cap in thine neighbor's a$$ while driving. Fun and immersive game but sometimes its too subversive not to have a LITTLE effect on you.

San Andreas. It wasn't really mine, but I used to play it all the time with a friend. We'd mostly play around with the flying car cheat xD

My parents would've killed me if they knew, but when I hit my teens I got GTA 4 and 5 and have fallen in love with the series, but SA still holds a place in my heart
