"I feel perfect, like usual" Nik purred, getting a bit of his pride back. He blinked a bit as he realized that Melissa would probably want to get cleaned up. One half of him said Give her privacy, it'll be better in the long run, the other said Oh my god, you might actually get to see her. Nik shook his head to clear it. 

 

"As for my babbling, you're so...perfect" Nik practically drooled, the fact that Melissa was so close to him making him lose tact

"You think that I'm ... perfect ...?" Melissa asked. She did not think that Nik thought of her that way. "Th-thank you Nik." Melissa said softly. In fact, no-one thought of her that way. She was almost always called a freak but that all stopped when she came to the academy.

Thankfully, the rational part of his mind won out and so he hadn't started talking about stuff that would better be suited to private matters

Melissa smiled and stood up from the bed. "That's so nice of you to say Nik." Melissa said sweetly. She held her hand out to him so that she can help him stand up. "I don't know if there's anything to wat but I'll be happy if I stay with you." Melissa told him.

Nik took her hand and got up, readjusting his shirt. As he did, he kissed her on the lips, letting it last a few seconds. As he broke it off, he smirked dreamily.

"A present to make sure I pay you back" Nik said softly, caressing Melissa's face. Best...moment...of...his...life. Melissa's face was just as soft as her lips, at least to Nik

Charlotte finished the berry and leaned back on her arms. "I don't know. Could end today, or maybe even tomorrow. Who knows how long these things last for." Charlotre said. Her ears swivelled to the direction of the dorms. "It appears some students are waking up." She commented.

 

"Really?" Althaia asked, trying to sound interested. "Dammit I can't wait until Darius wakes up. I want to see if I can rope him in to boiling some water so I can make some Chesto Berry Tea." She chuckled at the thought of him looking at the pot, extremely focused, as the fire would come out of his wand and incinerate the kettle. "At the very least, I could probably juice some Chesto berries manually if we have enough stuff to mix them in the kitchen. They are a bit dry though, so it would take a ton of them."

Melissa took Nik's hand away from her face and held it in both of hers. "Pay me back for what? What did I for you?" Melissa asked him. She had no clue as to what he was referring to. She now felt this sidden urge to dance qith him even though there wasn't any music to dance to.

Rune

 

Rune awoke with a dead arm. Having someone use his arm as a pillow was not the best idea. He carefully used his other arm to lift Synthia's head and gently lay it back down on the pillow. The power was still out, so that was still going to be an issue, no running water, he felt sticky, and his shirt felt stiff. He decided to change clothes in the closet and wash the old ones as soon as he had the chance to shower.

 

As soon as he had changed, he sat down on Synthia's unoccupied bed and read a book, waiting for his roommates to awaken as well.

Synthia's ribbons woke before she did, snaking out to find and attach to Rune. As they found him, she fidgeted and slowly woke. "Good morning, handsome. Watcha reading?" She blushes at her ribbons and drags herself to his side. Resting her head on his shoulder, she glanced at the book.

"Nothing really, just studying a little bit. Reading up on neurochemistry." Rune replied. "Want to go head down to the berry garden and grab something to eat from there? The kitchen isn't likely to be up and running without any power. If we use bottled water, though, we can use my camping stove and make some coffee or tea or something. I think I have a couple of Chesto berry tea bags stashed in my mess kit." He said, fishing through his travel backpack to find it. "Here we are." He said as he pulled out the collapsible kettle and two Chesto tea bags. "Have you ever had Chesto berry tea? It's very good in the morning. It wakes you up like coffee, but it doesn't make you hyper or anything."

Oh my god, I went in too quick, she'll hate me now, it's all over for the one person I care about. Nik's eyes shifted downwards and he stared at the floor, thinking he had offended her

Matthew looked like he was practically in a coma. Andy had to come out of his sleeping area and Shock Wave Matthew before the boy would even flinch. But finally, Matthew sat up groggily and got out of the bed. He gave a lazy wave to Rune and Synthia before pulling the ring up to his waist. Forgetting to give the ring a shock, the object fell back to the ground with a clang. Matthew sighed and picked it back up, giving it a small shock. Immediately, the Klinklang boy seemed to perk up a bit and patted Andy on the head before once again shock-conversing with him.

 

Dustin woke up looking at his book, and out of instinct began reading it again.

 

Zach had managed to get himself onto the roof for his usual morning routine, but didn't meditate like usual. He sort of just sat there with his elbows on his knees and his legs dangling off the side of the building. He was thinking about his outburst yesterday, scolding homself and trying to remove the guilt he had on him. His aura smelled so much like orange his nose was almost scrunching up.

Lhee

 

Lhee was slowly roused from sleep by a steady pressure on his chest.  The Marowak gijinka opens his eyes slightly, to find two large blue eyes staring back at him.  Amaura was standing on his chest and staring at him, and the little pokemon chirped happily to see him awake.

 

"Ugh...  Good morning to you too..."  Picking up the fossil pokemon so he could sit up and breathe easier, he pats her head before reaching for the bag of poke-food that the archeology teacher had given him.  Glancing around for something he could use as a bowl, Lhee sighs when he doesn't see anything and pours a small pile of the food onto the floor.  "Try not to make too much of a mess, I'm going to have to clean this up..."

 

With Amaura's breakfast taken care of, Lhee sighs quietly as he reaches for his bag.  The lights were still out - that meant no shower this morning.  Grabbing a shirt he tugged it over his skull before reaching for his hair tie.  Trying to get his mane of hair back into its usual ponytail, Lhee shuts his eyes for a moment as he leans against the wall.  

 

 

Raiga

 

The Raikou gijinka had spent the night on the roof - he had climbed back down to their room at some point during the night in order to fetch some of his things, but one glance at Nik and Melissa had made him leave again.  As the morning sun broke over the horizon it found Raiga staring off into the horizon, one leg dangling over the roof, and an old model MP3 player in his hand with one ear bud in.  He didn't have to worry about the gadget running out of power at least, since it never seemed to run out of energy while he was holding it.  As long as he was careful not to fry it at least - he'd done that a few times before he'd gotten this one, and was finally at a good balance while using it.

 

Singing along to the music under his breath, Raiga continues to watch the horizon as the sounds of the school coming alive below him reaches his ear without the ear bud in.  "Perched alone he sits there broken, an eldered man with stormclouds setting in his eyes..."  The monks never had approved of Raiga's tastes in music.  Continuing to watch the horizon as though he were searching for something, the electric type continues to sing under his breath as he greets the new day.

 

 

Zoey

 

As sounds of people moving around reached Zoey's ears, one of the fox-like ears twitches and she lifts her head from her pillow...  Before promptly dropping her face back down onto it.  The lights were still out.  With a tired voice that was muffled by her pillow, she says to no one in particular (since she didn't even know if her room mates were up yet,) "Ugh, wake me up when we're not under house arrest anymore..."

 

 

Darius

 

Darius was already up and roaming the halls - he hadn't gotten much sleep last night.  That seemed to be a trend with this school year so far.  But, with the power out, it fell to him to keep the fires in check throughout the night...  They didn't want any of them to die out, but it also wouldn't do to have them get out of control.

 

Hiding a yawn behind a hand, the Delphox wearily makes his way...  Where had he been headed?  The lack of sleep was starting to get to him.  "Ugh...  I need a coffee...  But of course, still no power..."  Reaching up to adjust his glasses, he mutters under his breath "It doesn't come up that often, but I suppose this is the downside to so many members of the staff being vulnerable to fire...  Everyone else gets to sleep while Darius keeps the school warm."

Charlotte laughed at the thought of Darius trying to light up a kettle with his wand. "That's just too funny to think about!" Charlotte continued to laugh but she stopped when she heard someone talking. "I think a couple of students are thinking about coming.down here." Charlotte said.

Nik flinched nervously and began to twitched, the awkwardness in the room palpable. Up until now, he had never sacrificed his pride for anything less than his personal feelings. He was debating whether giving up his pride to make her feel better was worth it. A look at her dejected expression made him decide quickly.

 

"I'm really sorry, I don't know what I did, just please forgive me. I can't lose the one person I've ever cared about" Nik whimpered, dropping to his knees and apologizing profusely. For once, Nik had knowingly placed someone else's needs above his

Althaia pushed herself up and stretched. "Well then, time to get ready for the influx of students. I wonder if Darius is up yet though, I'm serious about seeing if he can make us Chesto tea. I'm sure Jon would appreciate that, and even though he'd be the one heating it up, I'm sure Darius would like it just because he's been up all night keeping the fires from going out of control. It'd wake him up at least." She said. "Could you make out who it was that was discussing coming down here? I want to know if it was a faculty member or a student, mostly, just so I know if I need to actually act like I give a Rattata's ass."

Melissa closed her eyes and shook her head. "I'm sorry. I've got to go." Melissa said. She got up off the bed and went out the door. She got to a running track and started to run around it.

Nik sniffed and wiped his eyes. That wasn't a no....but it wasn't a yes either. Placing a finger to his forehead, he teleported to Rune. That tool was always being sappy, maybe he could give some advice.

"Well, I'm assuming that you don't mean when someone's already showing that they're upset. To be honest, I'm not sure I can describe it to you." Rune said, shrugging. "The Ralts evolutionary line is known for empathy, which helps to know what someone is feeling. Be they happy, upset, content, you know. I'm not saying it's impossible for you to tell when someone is upset, but it's just innately easier for me." He thought about it a bit. "It also depends on the 'kind' of upset we're talking about. Is it angry, sad, embarrassed? Because there's differences between them that you can detect."

"Probably either sadness or they got offended by said gift. Were they crying when they ran off?" Rune asked. "And who was it? I'd likely get a better idea of what it was based on what I know of them. Also, what was the gift?" He honestly had no clue what Nik considered a 'gift'. For all he knew, it could be another chicken fetus.

"In all honesty, she may have just been confused. With such an... overpowering... man such as yourself, she likely didn't know what to do. And quite frankly, you probably said something that could have been offensive without even knowing. You tend to come off as pompous a lot of the time, whether you mean it or not." He said passive-aggresively.
