The first film was pretty great overall, one of the pretty okay video game based movies, but this one?.........

 

What a dissapointment I say, anyone who is a fan of silent hill will know why this is bad.

The live action Resident Evil movies. Even back when I was really interested in Resident Evil I disliked them. I just couldn't find anything to like. I'm sure I have seen others that I found worse but those are the ones I found to not only be bad but so disrespectful to the source material that they just made me groan. The fact there is so many of them just astonishes me.

I agree with you completely. I think the first movie was actually pretty good, as like a side story to the games, but then they realeased sequel after sequel of shitty action and mind f**k stories.

Yeah, I must admit the first movie wasn't that bad. But what came after it really colored it for me. I just can't get over the major league stupidity of those movies. Especially love how they constantly force the main characters from the games in to the background to show off how cool Alice is. Great big f you to the fans. Not to mention those stupid sigh inducing plots.

 

Even though I don't really enjoy the games anymore, I still like the franchise and I just hate what these movies do to it. To the point that most people I know think of them first when Resident Evil pops up in a conversation.

I'll give a pass to all of the movies that have been mentioned so far, and even those awful Uwe Boll movies. Because given, at least they were dumb fun. No, the only film adaptation that has ever managed to piss me off is...

The only one i think its kinda good its FF7 and only because that fight in the end against Sephirot was Really Awesome but that was made in japan so yeah......

 

And dont get me started on anime base live action movies, "Dragon Ball Evolution" nuff said  :okiedokielokie:

Otherwise I'd have to say the Street Fighter movie with Jean Claude Van Damme (Of COURSE!)

Obviously, you've never seen Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. I would say it was on par or possibly worse than the original Street Fighter flick.
