Merry Christmas everyone! 

 

Well it seems to me, Matt's time as the Doctor has come to an end.(Maybe) I know for a fact that I will be watching, and I am plenty sure you all will as well. So this can be the discussion of the thread. How will it happen? Will the next doctor be revealed tonight? Reactions? Anything in general regarding the 12th Doctor. 

 

I myself can't wait, my first doctor was 9 and I've been hooked ever since, and it's always a great thing when something MASSIVE like this happens.

Well, the new Doctor was revealed ages ago, Peter Capaldi.

 

And having seen the episode, I can say it was rather excellent.

Well, it looks like the clock has struck twelve everypony. I think Matt's last episode was very befitting to him.  And that Moffat is a bloody genius. He somehow managed to explain everything, well almost everything, from Matt's journey. And it was pretty good, epic, episode too. I would say more, but I'm still trying to take it all in haha. Overall I loved it.

Just come out of the Australian premiere. Matt Smith is my favorite Doctor so I knew it was gonna be sad...but those last 5 minutes made me cry harder than anything else in my life. Capaldi's won me over from his first scene so far, know he's gonna be great, but still...

 

11/10 one of the best Doctor Who episodes ever.

Well, what can i say. Smith struck me odd at first. He was not my favorite doctor, but he earned my respect.

Most of this episode kept me on my toes. It as amazing. I was tottally surprised on the end, with Clara's reaction on the new doctor face and capaldi's "DO YOU KNOW HOW TO FLY THIS THING"

There were a few things that bugged me in this episode, like how Clara was able to travel through the time vortex, but all in all it was a good episode. A bit upsetting that of everyone, the Daleks were the last alien standing, but I guess it makes sense. Random time crack being all like 'Here. Have another life. Bye.' was kinda odd, but if it keeps the series going, I guess I'm all for it.

It wasn't a Random Time crack. It was the Timelords trying to return. It was the Timelords who asked the question. So when Clara answered it and asked them to help The Doctor, they gave The Doctor and whole new set of regenerations.

It is going to be a shame that Matt Smith will be gone, so I guess we will say goodbye. R.I.P. Eleventh Doctor 2010 - 2013. He did a pretty solid performance!

i liked this episode a lot. don't hate on me but i didn't really like matt smith for the first half of has journeys.

 

sure david tennant was better and matt sis have some awesome moments. but the first half was dragged way too long.

I was expecting like a Tennant-ish long regeneration. It was just like:

 

I swear, I will always remember when the Doctor was me. *ACHOO* DO YOU KNOW HOW TO FLY THIS THING?

That's because the regeneration happened at the tower when he went all kaboom. But since it was a reset t took a long time for the face changing to happen, and when it did it happened very quickly.  Or something like that.
