I think this topic is kind've past it's point....since you know, the Harmony Tree is back and all....plus it was all symbolic and not really literal....and symbolism can be just plain cryptic and complex so it's up to anyone's interpretation of the Elements as to what Twilight's making friends have to do with the Magic of Friendship

I have always interpreted it as the Connection of friendship. The glue that holds it together The spark. The thing you cherish in friendship...  Twilight might be central but she cannot do it alone... just as they can't forget her.
