StarShine looked at the griffon with big eyes. She shyly stuttered "Yes! I uh wanted to know what it's like being a griffon!" She placed her back hoof in front of volts mouth to shut him up. She climbed onto the stool next to Sole. She was a tiny thing compared to the giant griffon. The stools were at her chest level.

"No sadly you don't owe me money right now. " He said pulling up a seat next to Volt. "I wander from town to town, makes life interesting. My I ask how have you been my friend, and why are you here in ponyville?" Icarus asked, smiling under his mask.

"Recently I went trough Manehattan. Nice place, good sales as well" Icarus said adjusting his mask, "And you never told me you worked here, hell I would have visited you if I had known that" Icarus said with a laugh.

Sole was a bit thrown off by the sudden question, but quickly smiled " well, it's not too different from being a pony aside from the talons... And the beak... And the tail... Alright, I guess it is different." He said, scratching the back of his head. "Aside from that, what else would you like to know?" He asked

"What do griffons do that's different from ponies! Like were they live! Yours daily routine! You can leave private stuff out. But just some basic things!" She smiled warmly and ordered a non alcoholic cider. Her usual. She drank some of it. Listening to the sounds of chatter and laughter around her.

Crimson trotted into the tavern with a worn out expression on his face, he had just spent the entire day clearing out a bandit hideout with his crew, and he was ready for a well deserved drink. Crimson sat down at the bar. "Hey, bartender, can ya pass me some rum?" he asked.

*After taking her time to sip the cider and wait on Seth to serve others while ponder his direct question, she finally leaned in close so only he could hear*

 

Forgive my direct approach, aside from Skylar I feel like I have no pony...or any being else to really talk to about me...missions or life in general... *she took another swig from her mug, while still pulling her hood down low* and...get used to me apologizing alot...it's just I'm not use to walking around windixi...admitting to the public I'm a low ranked alicorn Princess...It only happened, my ascention I mean... about 2yrs ago, after my wedding with Night Lights...he's a black wyvern, shape shifting dragon who lives up on the third mountain top. You know those mountains that descend over near Ponyville? That's where he and I live for most part...Long story short *she took another sip of her cider, seeming to hold back, then continued* His mother, Wyvern Red Dragon Matriarch, Prya, was against the wedding, the gryphon empire to the east ocean got involved, there was a war that broke off...blah blah...but somehow I had a hidden power with in me and after my wedding with Nights... I ascended.

 

And now here I am...taking on a role that Celestia says that is my destiny...to be the Alicorn of Unity and peace for all beings...Most of the time I am in charge of keeping the peace between the Dragon clans of the North, outside the Crystal Empire...and the Gryphon Empire ruled currently by Empress Gryphon, Nortica. My previous mission was to bare witness to altering a treaty between the Empire and one of the nearby dragon clans, the Acid Dragons lead by Ripper. It was for trading rights with the dragon clan and a gryphon Hub in the North...Alls well though...but...

 

*She sighs again, feeling like the weight of her duties has fallen as well as her lack of self confidence* I'm a freakish sorry excuse for an Alicorn...*she kept her voice down* I can't even control my power... nor do I fully understand its purpose...Only out of instinct does it appear and do what needs to be done to keep the peace between sentient beings...like dragons and gryphons...when they are at war with each other. I have a good unicorn friend named Polaris...who's taught me some forms of magic but he can only do so much...The princesses have basically thrown me to the wolves, oops...um...no offense ...and saying that I will know what to do when the time comes...but that's not teaching me how to use my powers! *she slammed her hoof on the counter unintentionally in her frustration* Gah...sorry again...*sniffs* It's just that...no one really seems to understand the hardships and stresses I'm dealing with... i thought maybe if I spoke with you...figure out what is going on with the diplomats and Princessess at least... I may find my place in that level of important roles that serve Equestria...because right now... I feel like a useless foolish mare...who was blessed with powers she never should have gotten...

Sole didn't know how to respond to some of the questions, his daily life wasn't exactly something he wanted mares like her to know about. "I... uh.... I'm an adventurer." He said, technically not lying " and I live here in ponyville actually. But most griffons choose to live in the griffon kingdom." He added with a smile

"Yeah I will be sure to. So who are these ponies here, I do not beleive I have met any of them befor, I assume them to be your friends?" Icarus asked Volt, trying to put on a friendly face for the group of ponies gathered around the table with him and his friend.

StarShine saw a Stallion sit down beside her. Now their was a. Griffon to her left and a stallion to her right. She waved the him cutely and took a sip of her cider. She readjusted her thick glasses and was taking notes of the griffon describing his life.

"You will have to introduce me to some of them, they all seem quite kind and like somare Stre interesting people." Icarus said befor turning to Starshine.

 

"And hello there m'lady, you are Starshine I presume, glad to make you're acquaintance" Icarus said in a friendly tony, holding out a hoof.

Star shine turned around and blushed. The beautiful mare was getting attention from all the stallions. She shook his hoof. She smiled. "It's um nice to meet you.. She tightened her loose braid. Fixed her barie (French hat thingy) and adjusted her thick rimmed glasses. She smiled and turned back around.

"Somehow I doubt you have incorrect information, but anyways, sure lets go meet Seth, hopefully he is as good as you say he is, also we can order some drinks while we are up there" Icarus said to Volt, with some excitement evident in his voice.

*He rubs his tummy gently as he finishes the rest of the pineapple, giving a small burp and sitting back in the chair gently, he turns and nods hearing his name mentioned, he looks over at the stallions fussing over the mare and shrugs not looking at all fussed. He cringes hearing volt call bliss Princess and he feels a pang of anxiety from here, he shuffles slightly ready to get up to help her if any pony starts putting pressure on her,  he pulls his leg back a bit and winces, tugs a little at the bandages running down from the top of his thigh to just below the knee mumbling to himself*  -_-

Still listening to the story, Seth grabbed the requested beverage and pasted to the awaiting customer with a glass not far behind.

When the troubled mare finished her story, Seth gave a genuine pat on the shoulder. He knew the pain she felt.

 

"I know the sorrows you feel. Do you know why few ponies know about my kind, and why I'm the only wolf around here? A thousand years ago, a war between my kin and Discords slave army of ponies lasted for fifteen years. It ended with both races being nearly killed off.  I was in that war. I'm not going to say much unless you want the details, but my brother and I were the only two who still truly remember the war. We were frozen five years in and just git thawed out seven years ago.

 

"After five years of recuperating to the new world, I was asked to be a diplomat for pony wolf peace accord. I still had nightmares of killing innocent lives, but I still took the job. Two days in, my brother dropped the pencil pushers in to sign the final draft of the peace document. However, I was in Ponyville to get a feel for the local atmosphere. When Dawn, my brother, came to pick me up, he was killed." Seth hesitated, a small tier rolling down his cheek. "Since there was nothing left of my real home back in the empire, I took up the role as diplomat here in Equestria. How I got into owning a bar is for another day."

 

When Seth finished, he pulled out a small picture and handed it to Bliss.

"My brother, Dawn." He said, pointing to the right wolf.

Sole looked around at the others as they spoke, but he didn't really have anything to say at the moment. With a shrug he took a large drink of his ale and waited for the mare to ask him more questions. He was in a good mood now, he was just waiting for something weird to happen to him as it usually did.

"YEAH YEAH CLEARLY A MISTAKE.." Volt said lookingg at Skylar and his face.. "yes yes.. ahem.. my bad.. ahem..well let's.. let's meet Seth shall we eh eh?"

 

Volt was sweating.. if the story he knew were right, pissing off Skylar probably meant to have an electric vs electric fight..

Crimson grabbed the bottle and the glass, giving the bartender a nod of thanks, not finding it odd that he was a wolf. "This should get my spirits up, let's hope this one bottle will last me awhile, although I doubt it..." he thought, pouring himself a glass of rum, drinking it down in one swig. "Yeah, this bottle isn't lasting long..." he thought, continuing to drink.

Icarus said in a low tone, knowing full well that no matter who heard his story, they would more than likely hate him or fear him.
