@@Ampharos,

Cottonee immediately jumped into Stella's arms after being let go and tried to hide from the other pokemon and trainer. "Well, that one's Litwick." Stella said, pointing to Litwick then returning her to her pokeball. "And this shy one's Cottonee. Sorry about how rude she's being, but she's not the biggest fan of being around... anything that breathes. I think she thinks they all judge her about something. But I dunno. She's just weird. But also absolutely adorable." Stella left Cottonee out of her pokeball, as she just looked way too cute to put away already.

Then Stella remembered something. She wasn't in the Hoenn region just to look at other people's cute pokemon! No, no, no! She was here to catch her own cute pokemon! Or more, anyway. "Oh! I need to go catch some pokemon! I almost forgot." Stella said, about to head to Route 101. Not only had Stella seemingly forgotten that Anton was still around, she had also forgotten to heal her pokemon.

@,

Locke nodded as the new trainer told him the names of the Pokemon. Not like that really helped, he should have asked their typings and abilities and whatnot but it wasn't that big a deal. She returned the Litwick to it's pokeball, much to the dismay of Revvy, and said something about going on to route 101. She seemed like she was about to head straight there, even after the quite intense Pokemon battle she just had. "Uh... You were planning on going to the Center, right?"

@@Ampharos,

"Oh! Yea! Right! I should do that first shouldn't I?" Stella said, looking around for where the centre was. When she found it, she began heading that way. As she passed, she noticed two other trainers fighting. One of them looked familiar, but it was probably just her imagination.

Once both Cottonee and Litwick were all healed up, Stella began to make her way to Route 101. She had seemingly forgotten she even ever had company. Great.

Several of the Wingull near the front of the flock toppled, starting with the headstrong first fellow, who fell hard. Once their leader fell, the Wingull near the back scattered in every direction, and Frogadier, despite its speed, couldn't get out of the water far enough to strike them as well.

[OOC: So I guess the Pokeball missed?]

Once the lead Wingull fell, the Pokeball Miles threw went right past the poor bird and shattered as it hit the bridge. "Well that's a waste of a Pokeball." Miles thought. "Ok Frogadier use Quick Attack again but only on the leader!" Miles commanded with Frogadier following said command. Miles once again got out a Pokeball and threw it at the Wingull, this time being sure he was aiming correctly.

((Hey, guys. Had to spam homework. Took like five hours to get that all done. Haven't had time to post. Back now though)

Tuathal thought he might have a chance to get a bead on Flabebe now, and he didn't really have much choice with the wind pretty much canceling out uproar. "Jarvis, try to hit it with a comet punch!" The Kangaskhan began rapidly jabbing at where the gust appeared to be coming from.

There was a squeak, and the mist disppeared as one of Kangaskhan's flailing punches struck Flabebe, and the little flower fluttered to the ground. Cass's smirk vanished, and she ran forward to pick up her pokemon in her hands.

"You did well, Flabebe," she murmured, and put Flabebe back in her pokeball. Standing up, she looked at Tuathal. "Your Kangaskhan is really strong," she said, smiling. "I hope the rest of your pokemon are that well trained. Bebe and I still have a lot of work to do." She shrugged, then looked towards the Pokemon Center. "If you still want to travel together, c'est bien. Just let me take care of Bebe first, then let's head north. I've heard there are some super cute pokemon in Verdale Tunnel."

@,

Route 101 now lead east out of Littleroot Town, and was bisected by Unity Bridge leading from Littleroot to Slateport. The Littleroot side still showed signs of recent development as more people moved in, thanks to the neutrality and relative safety of the territory. There were half-built houses and dark alleys, full trash cans and just general mess. The water at the base of the bridge sparkled, and the bridge itself arched high over Oldale Sound.

A trash can wiggled, as if there was something was in it. There was a mewling from a nearby alley, and it sounded like it could not be coming from merely one source. There were some ripples in the water, and a flock of Taillow had landed at the base of the bridge. A trainer was by the waterfront, battling a horde of Wingull with his Frogadier, and there seemed to be a checkpoint of sorts at the peak of the bridge, where trainers in striped uniforms and bandannas stood looking insolent.

The Wingull was caught right in its center of mass, and seemed unable to battle anymore. It put up no resistance whatsoever upon being captured.

Wingull's data has been added to the Pokedex.
Wingull, the Seagull Pokémon. It uses its long wings to catch the ocean wind and glide across the sky, and fold them when resting.

Turning back to Cass, he shrugged. "I got lucky, more than anything. I knew the general area where your Flabebe was, and by chance, one of Jarvis' punches connected. That mist thing, though, that was really clever. I really thought you had me there. Traveling with you is going to be a lot of fun."

Cass smiled as they walked into the Pokemon Center together.

"Yeah, size is both a burden and a blessing with Flabebe," She murmured. "It makes it really easy for her to hide, and luckily Misty Terrain is the perfect move for it. But she's also really frail," She said sadly, handing Flabebe's Luxury Ball over to Nurse Joy. "I keep telling her that evolving would probably be good for her, but she won't listen. I don't want to make her do it, but I can't stand seeing her hurt like this. If she grows a bit bigger, I mean, a Floette isn't much bigger than Flabebe, but they're a lot stronger, too. If she just grows a little bit, she'd still be able to hide like she does now, and might be able to last a little longer."

She shrugged and sighed, as Nurse Joy returned the Poke Ball. "I don't know," she muttered to herself as they set out towards the half-completed Canal.

Oldale Canal was busy, as Construction Workers ran hither and thither, as did Machoke, Timburr and Gurdurr. Surely, the Machoke, Timburr and Gurdurr belonged to the workers, but the Grimer that had come to rest in the completed sections, that were yet empty of any water, surely were wild and were just getting in the way.

@,

((Blah. I've had a ton of homework recently too. Should be basically free now, though, as the semester is ending in just two days.))

Ripples in the water immediately caught Stella's attention. Since so many pokemon were the water type, it was not surprising to find a lot living in water. So if water were to ripple, it was a clear sign a pokemon might be nearby. The only negative about trying to find a pokemon living in water, was that they were almost impossible to actually catch without the use of another water type being used to catch it.

Stella blatantly didn't acknowledge her lack of means to catch a pokemon within water, even though there might not even be one there. Summoning her Cottonee, she pointed at the water which had rippled. "Alright Cottonee! See what that is!" Stella commanded. Cottonee looked at her with a confused look. "Come on! I'm waiting!" Stella said, clearly expecting Cottonee to do something. Cottonee merely peered into the murky depths of the water, hoping Stella would just conclude nothing was there.

As they neared the canal, Tuathal eyed the Grimer around the completed areas. He thought about catching one, but he didn't want to deal with the smell. Maybe that was being unfair or shallow or something, but they just didn't appeal to him. He still felt kind of bad about it, though.

"Welcome to the team Wingull." Miles said before putting Wingull's Pokeball away and returning Frogadier to his own Pokeball. Before he could continue on his way Miles noticed a trainer standing by the water, clearly having trouble commanding her Cottonee. "Uhh...Hey miss do you need any help?" Miles asked as he walked over. "I noticed your having a bit of trouble with your Cottonee and I was just wondering if everything was alright."

Now, here was a surprise. A trainer who wanted to help Stella. Why was that? Was he trying to steal the possible adorable pokemon that might be hiding in the water? Or, were they just trying to be helpful? Well, she supposed it didn't really matter. "Well, I'm trying to see if there's a pokemon down there! But Cottonee can't quite see. But yea! Everything's alright!" Stella said, grinning at the trainer.

"Oh is that it?" Miles said with a slight chuckle. "It's a bit hard to catch a water Pokemon with a grass type don't you think? I'm assuming you don't have a fishing rod either?" Leon asked before reaching for a Pokeball and once again sending out Frogadier. "Tell ya what, I'll lure the Pokemon out and you catch it. Deal?"

Cottonee sighed in relief and returned to Stella's arms. "Really? That would be awesome!" Stella exclaimed. If she could get a water type on her team, she would be almost perfectly suited for whatever kind of gym Hoenn might throw at her. A combo of a water, fire and grass type would be positively perfect.

((Sorry, sorry! I had a bit of a few busy days and just now got caught up with this RP!))

After a bit of an odd talking to with Roserade, Anton made his way back to see if there was anyone around. "Well, I'm back. Turns out Roserade here has a nice little Poke-crush on that Pokemon over there and-- I'm talking to myself. Wonderful... This is what I get for going away..." He grumbled as he looked over his surroundings for any sort of person nearby. "Hmm... Well, perhaps I should just go ahead and hightail it on my own. But... A trip to the Pokemon Center first."

A few minutes later, Anton had came out of the center, only with Roserade by his side yet again. He had decided to keep Luxio within his Pokeball for safe measures, and now he had completely missed what he had remembered about the other routes being dangerous. With a few decisions, he went off towards the western part of Route 103, wondering if that was the way to see if Stella was nearby.

@,@,

Frogadier jumped in the water, and scared out a little Mantyke. The little Kite pokemon jumped out of the water, and began to glide back into the sea, in a slow, steady descent, chattering angrily at the Frogadier.

Tuathal nodded. "You're probably right that it would be good for her, but if she doesn't want to, maybe she just isn't ready yet. Give her time and maybe she'll change her mind."

Cass nodded, and couldn't think of anything to say for a little while, so she just allowed herself to walk around, looking at Oldale Town.

Oldale Town seemed simply much more complete than LIttleroot to the south. It had been larger in the first place, and most of the survivors of the attack on Petalburg had had more time to establish themselves here. Even so, the buildings were mismatched, some were a little lopsided or hastily built. It had an aura of unhappiness, despite its status as Hoenn's safe haven.

There were a few Grimer and a Trubbish mucking about in a trash can nearby. A flock of Taillow were nestled on a roof. A young boy played with two Lillipup, but only one looked well-groomed enough to belong to a trainer. And a Skitty was mewling in the entry to an alleyway. Naturally, Cassie gave a squeak, and without offering explanation to Tuathal, she went chasing after it.

Lurele smiled at the boy and his pokemon as her pokemon stepped forward to introduce themselves.  Luke, the Lucario, stared at the two of them before crossing his arms and huffing quietly.  The Mienshao, MiMi, slapped Luke in the back of the head playfully before bowing down in front of the Gengar and Ampharos in greeting.

"Great, that puts us in the same boat then.  Well, not literally.  I mean, we just got off the boat.  Though, we were in the same boat literally a little while ago, but that's not what I mean right now.  I meant that we're both newbies here with no clue where to go!"  Lurele grins and laughs quietly, rubbing at the back of her neck.

"Oh, umm, I'm Lurele by the way.  The rude one is Luke, he's a Lucario, and the pretty one is MiMi.  She's a Mienshao."  Luke quickly turned his head to stare at Lurele, though the pokemon blushed and looked away grumbling when his trainer blew him a kiss in response.  "So...  Neither of us know where to go, so do you wanna go wherever we're going together?"  Lurele laughed again as she asked, though she had already turned her gaze away from the docks and towards the town itself, trying to figure out which direction to go first.

Tuathal shrugged and followed her, making a mental note to consider looking into the possibly wild Lillipup later. His mother had an Arcanine that he'd always liked, and the lillipup reminded him of it in a way. He might even have been interested in catching the Skitty too, but even assuming it wasn't a trainer's, he figured Cassie's excited squeak meant she'd pretty much called dibs. So he just followed her and waited to see how it would work out.

"Oh my gosh! You're so cute!" Stella exclaimed. This was a pokemon she had never seen before, and it was also a pokemon clearly fit for her team. And with that, Stella knew she would just have to catch this blue pokemon. "Alright Cottonee! Use Fairy Wind to get it as far away from the water as you can!" Stella told the Cottonee, who floated over the water, then used Fairy Wind in an attempt to push the Mantyke away from the water, so it couldn't escape, hopefully.

Locke waved slightly at the pokemon. "She's Jewel, he's Revvy, and I'm Locke." He pointed to each body in turn as he said their names. He gave a short smile at Lurele's boat comment. At Lurele's suggestion, Locke blushed slightly at the way she worded it, and was glad she had turned away. "Uh sure I guess. Not sure what I should catch though. I don't know if I can even hit anything without knocking it out. I've been with these guys a long time, so I'm not sure if anything this early on can take any hits from them.

Grinning widely, Lurele quickly gestures towards her own pokemon.  "Oh, that's easy, they just have to know how to pull their punches!  Like this - Luke, exercise three!"  The Lucario sighs quietly, but nevertheless turns towards his trainer...  And quickly launches a flurry of punches at her!

Lurele calmly brings her hands up, making the black tape around her palms even more obvious as she catches and deflects each of the Lucario's punches.  They do it so quickly it would appear that it was a well practiced routine, and after a few seconds of this they step away and she grins at Locke.  "See?  I help train with Luke and MiMi all the time, they can throw an attack without trying to make it hurt if they want to.  Well, it helps that Luke is better with long distance attacks than physical attacks, MiMi's kicks still hurt sometimes...  But that's not the point here!"

Laughing again, Lurele turns and starts walking towards town without checking to make sure Locke was following.  She assumed he was.  Her pokemon quickly hurry to catch up with her, Luke watching nearby people warily to make sure they didn't try to get too close to his trainer.  "Do you think any fighting types are native to this area?"  She calls back over her shoulder, her gaze still focused on the town.

Locke watched intently as the Lucario began punching his trainer. But like she said, the blows seemed to be restrained and her arms seemed to be nearly untouched. "That's pretty cool actually... I don't think I could take a Thunder Punch that easily though..." That seemed to have happened more times than you'd think though. Jewel hadn't been ready to evolve, and when she did Locke had trouble controlling her. He rubbed his shoulder as he remembered the many times it had been shocked and bruised. Locke came out of his thoughts to see Lurele walking off and asking a question over her shoulder. "Fighting types? Uh... I dunno much about Hoenn Pokemon, or any region other than Kanto and Johto really. I think there's these fighting types called Makehatas or something that are native to Hoenn. I dunno if they'd be over here though..."

@@Ampharos,

"Oh, I hope we get to find one...  You said Kanto and Johto?  So are you from around there?  Did you ever get to meet Chuck!?  I would love to go up against him at least once, especially if I'm going to run a gym myself one day..."  She grins and turns around, walking backwards so she can talk to Locke.  MiMi flails her arms a little before jumping around to Lurele's back, trying to guide her trainer so that the girl doesn't run into anyone while she's not looking where she's going.

"I'm from Unova, myself.  And you've probably already guessed, but I specialize in fighting types.  That doesn't mean I won't catch other types if they catch my attention, but I'm going to be a fighting type gym leader one day."  She grins and tilts her head slightly, almost leaning against the Mienshao trying desperately to lead her down the path.  "Speaking of catching other pokemon, I'm eager to see what shows up here in Hoenn...  C'mon, let's go find a route!"

@,

Locke nodded in response to Lurele's question. "Yea I'm from Ecruteak in Johto, home of one of the greatest gym leaders of all time! I always wanted to take over as gym leader some day, but it doesn't look like Morty's leaving any time soon. But yea, I've faced Chuck. And Bruno. Not much they could do to Revvy." He patted the shiny Gengar on his head and was returned with a smile. "I don't think I ever specialized in a certain type, ironic for a kid who wanted to be a Ghost type gym leader." Locke shrugged to himself and continued following Lurele. Jewel was trying hard to keep up, but her small legs weren't too great for speed. Locke returned her to her Luxury Ball, but kept Revvy out. After all, his ability was Levitate.
