Crimson chuckled and accepted the handshake. "Hehe, that's funny, you don't look like a terrorist to me...actually, I've been accused of being a terrorist quite a few times, on account of this..." he said, gesturing towards his serrated teeth and reptilian eyes. "And don't even get me started on the tail..." he said with a dry laugh, before using his reptilian tail to tap Traveler on the shoulder. "Oh, and my names Crimson, by the way..." he said.

Traveller was a bit surprised at the tail tapping him, but he learned not to jump at sudden movements like a touch. The shield had practical uses it seemed. 'Yeah...I can see why someone might think you're up to something...not a lot of people around here have tails and cat eyes...' He laughed. 'I hear there will be teams at Beacon. Anyone you know there?' Traveller asked as he sat down on a nearby bench.}

Crimson shook his head. "Nope. I'm completely new here, I don't know anyone at all. I'm pretty much a loner anyway, I'll still try to work with a team, but I won't let them know about my...scaly features...it would only cause them to distrust me...I only showed you because I think you look like the nonjudgmental type...but I can't say the same for everyone else around here..." he said with a sigh.

Smiles and put her letter away, "Thanks, I will be looking forward to working with you as well." She starts trotting behind him, "Oh, and flame, I don't think I got to say thank you." 

 

She smiled a little as she thought about what life at Beacon held, for her, she was just glad for a new start. As she walked, she wrote a few things down in a journal.

"It's no problem really" He said as he was waiting for the airship to depart. "Though I just hope whatever it is that's going to happen will be worth it all" He muttered to him self as he took his music player out and started playing a song on it. "Long ride to Beacon...might as well relax"

'I guess i am. I work well with a team. My spear turns into a shield,' Traveller said as the spear unfolded into a large red shield, 'so I am the distraction most of the time.' He smiled as he folded it back up and holstered the spear. 'My dad went to Beacon. He dropped out halfway through though.'

Continued to write on her pad, "Don't worry, I think I've got that relaxing covered. I just can't relax too much." She looks up at the sky for a bit, "I wanna be at the the front of this ship when it flies..." She started to sketch a small blue print of the ship in her journal, at least anything she could see.

Looking over her shoulder. "Why are you making a blueprint of the ship exactly" He asked her curious on why she is doing this. "Better hope no one sees you and I don't know if they will let into the front of the ship" He said

 

Meanwhile an odd man was sitting on the ground in a forest before a giant scorpion with bone shielding on it and a glowing stinger appeared in front of the man. "Go destroy the nearby town" The man said as the scorpion turned and left.

Crimson sat next to him. "Really? That's strange...that sounds like both of my parents...anyway, my weapon is a bit more diverse, it isn't a very good defense, but it IS an awesome offense! It can shoot fireballs, flames, and even turn into a flaming whip!" he said with a chuckle, twirling his cutlass.

'Wow. That's quite a weapon. Mine just stitches between giant shield or spear.' Traveller laughed. 'I wonder who we'll be teamed with. I hope I get a team with offensive weapons. Like I said, I'm defensive. My spear isn't the best in close quarters.' He mused as he looked over his spear. 'I designed it myself. Built it too. I practiced everyday hoping that I could go to Beacon.' He said as he threw his spear up and caught it.

She smiles, "I always ask myself why others aren't. I love sketching the world around me, and making them into new ideas. Actully why I was in the engine room earlier." She hands you the book, "Take a look at the changes I've made; and as far as that view, I'd like to see them stop me." She laughed a little.

"Interesting...think you can try to make my spear better by any chance" He decided to ask. "I made it but so far I think it needs to be a bit better after all" He decided to say as he made the rod turn into a double edged spear.

Crimson nodded. "Yeah, same here. It took me forever, but I built this bad boy with my own two hands, and it's the best weapon I could ask for! Sure, it's a little destructive, but hey? No weapon is perfect...actually, I'm hoping my team has some cute girls, that's pretty much my only hope...it's a bit strange actually..." he said, rubbing the back of his head.

'Seriously?!' Traveller laughed. 'Im sure there will be. Though they'd probably stab you in your sleep, it's worth a try, right?' He said, smiling. Traveller out his spear away as the airship began to move. A message played on speakers around the ship.

 

'Welcome to Beacon students. You've made it to the most prestigious fighting academy in the world. There you will learn to fight the creatures of Grimm, and become Hunters and Huntresses. For now, sit back and wait.'

 

Traveller smiles at the announcement. They were finally going!

Stares at the spear again, "I was looking at it earlier actually, and while I wouldn't mind seeing what I can do. I'd hate to unpack my tools here, *took me three hours even with the compressor...* think you can bring it by my dorm once we get to school?" She flipped back to the sketch she had made earlier of the spear and added the two blades.

"Sure and thank you" He said changing the spear back and placing it on his back. "But first we need to head to the forest first before we even get to our dorms" He sighed as he looked out the window. An announcement played telling everyone to sit in a seat since the airship is about to take off soon.

Gale ignored just about everything that he saw around him and continued on tot he air ship and sat down. He reached back for his quarter staff and looked inside the compartment again. The glyphs(?) were in place, and he let out a short sigh. Gale started twirling the quarter staff in his hand as he waited for the ship to take off.

Even though not many girls would be very interested in dating a faunis...but let's hope I'm wrong..." he said, but his frown turned to a smile as the airship began to move. "Looks like our little adventure is finally starting..." he said.

'Hopefully they aren't *that* bigoted.' Traveller remarked. He had seen people publicly attack Faunis, and he couldn't see why they'd do it. He heard something about breaking legs once...whatever. 'Yeah. Seems like everyone is on the airship. It's getting full.' Traveller said as he surveyed the airship. Many seats were taken.

"This is gonna be a long ride, so I might as well relax while I can and think about what strategy I'm gonna use if we run into anything like an Ursa or other grims...I just hope I won't be the only one who's a skilled fighter, that would be just my luck...

'Well, I grew up in a farm. Spent my time not working creating my spear. My dad dropped out halfway through Beacon. I was accepted and got an hotel for 3 days. Got on the airship and now I'm here.' Traveller replied. He noticed her hand hovering over her weapon. 'I don't hate Faunis, if that's what you're thinking about. I don't see a reason to hate Faunis of any kind.' He said as he stared at her hand nearly touching her sword.

Sole yawned as he rested in a chair, waiting for them to land. He was getting extremely bored, so he soon pulled his worn straw hat over his eyes and leaned back to maybe catch a little shuteye. "This is already getting boring. Hopefully things get exciting soon, or I'm gonna die of boredom." He mumbled
