Equinox sighed. "I guess we will fill in the others when they get here" Equinox said. "You both are already put in teams already as you noticed. We are to be your teachers but we are only for special regiments since you are the one who were selected to stop a man who is some how controlling the grimm" He explained. "There has been rumors that a Deathstalker is coming and I want Team FLSC to deal with it" Equinox turned to Deranged. "

 

 

Yes, and I want team SEWT to stop a Ursa from rampaging also" Deranged said as he looked at Equinox. "Reason why you are not with the others is because we actually chose you guys to deal with this problem" Equinox said as he looked at Flame and Cascade. "Flame you are team leader of FLSC and Cascade Swirl you are leader of team SWET" Equinox added. "We will be watching from a distance and we will not interfere unless it becomes a problem and we need to step i" He continued.

 

"Why us though? I thought we got into Beacon because of how good w-" "You got in because of that yes, but you still will go to Beacon but periodically you will get a mission to go out and find out what this man is doing and hopefully stop him soon before he does any real damage" Equinox interrupted Flame. "You can get to your dorms when you are back at Beacon when the mission is done, you already have assigned dorm rooms and everything, including class schedule now, are you all ready" Equinox asked

Gale raised an eyebrow. An ursa? That was it? Usually the general term of ursa referred to an Ursa Minor, but the teacher may have been talking about an Ursa Major. Still, Gale could probably take on an Ursa Major by himself, effort required of course. They weren't particularly the biggest threats out of the Grimm, and a Deathstalker sounded more like his cup of tea. That would be a team effort, and show Deranged that he could work as a team. Although why he cared what Deranged thought he wasn't sure. "I assume you mean Ursa Major right? I'd really hope you wouldn't put four Signal graduates against an Ursa Minor." He still figured an Ursa Major would be no problem for four people. Maybe the speed at which they killed it would impress Deranged? Gah why do I even care what he thinks? We'll just kill it and be done with it all.

"Actually two Ursa Majors unless you want to kill a twin Taijitu then I can go find one for you" Deranged said. Equinox sighed at Deranged being a smart ass to his own students at the moment. "Yes Two Ursa Majors and a Death Stalker, it should be easy for you team to kill the Ursa and for FLSC to kill the Deathstalker" Equinox said

Gale thought about the prospect of a Taijitu for a moment. The dual bodied creature would actually present a challenge to the team, but Gale figured he had had enough scolding for one hour, so he decided not to say anything about it. "Eh, the Ursas are fine. Just glad we'll be able to get back to the Academy quickly." He mentally slapped himself in the head, for his cockiness had once again slipped out. It was something that was natural to him, so it kind of slipped in to any normal sentence he tried to say.

Deranged smiled. "Don't get too cocky kid Ursas may seem easy but two together are a bit tough if you don't pay attention" Deranged said. Equinox sighed. "Just remember you were the same Deranged" Equinox said as he looked at flame. "Don't try to take it on by yourself either" Equinox said.

"You heard him," Cascade announced, literally quivering with excitement. "We get to battle Ursii. You see that point?" Cascade walked up to the cliff ledge and pointed into the forest, where there was a clearing about a quarter mile in. "We're all probably going to have our own way of getting into the Forest, since it looks like more than a hundred foot drop. We meet in that clearing, SEWT. See you there!"

With a whoop, Cascade took several steps back, and scampered forward with all her speed and leapt from the cliff ledge.

She giggled, and allowed herself a second of free fall, enjoying the air on her face. Then Romp Eclipse was out of her pocket, and putting her feet on its crossguard, she fired it at an angle, propelling the weapon, and Cascade with it, across the forest. Then with a click and a grinding far more chain than anyone could have guessed the hilt contained whipped out, and Romp Eclipse's barrel turned into the curved blade. She swung the weapon just as she was falling under the canopy, and it caught a branch. She swung like it was a vine, then with a pull of a trigger the chain retracted, severing the branch Romp had caught on. She travelled through the canopy thusly for a while, each swing bringing her lower to the ground, until she rolled on the ground, retracted her blade, and looked around the spooky nighttime forest.

Flame smiled. "Alright Equinox...Team FLSC LETS GO" and with that Flame jumped from the cliff and hopped from tree to tree before landing and his spear falling behind him. he picked it up and waited for his other teammates

Gwyn shot him a look of annoyance, his loud shouting bugging her ears. She said goodbye to Crimson and jumped off parallel to the cliff. She used some dust and shot away from the cliff, heading to the clearing as quickly as possible. Eventually she ended up on the forest floor. All she had to do was follow the branches littering the ground, as well as the sound of gunshots.

Sole continued walking, but as he did he thought he heard something. He could've sworn he just heard screaming and laughing echo from somewhere nearby. "Well, I guess the others are here. Maybe I got here a little to early." He said, before shrugging "ah whatever, I like the forest." He mumbled, before continuing on his way

Gale smiled and took out Reaper. He pressed a button, making the staff extend very slightly and produce a long curved blade. He smashed the scythe into the ground on the edge of the cliff and a large amount of ice exploded over the side. He began slowly walking down the ice bridge, absorbing the back of the ice bridge back up as he walked in order to create more in front of him with out running out too much. And maybe to make sure the rest of his team could figure out ways of getting down themselves.

SWET? Traveller chuckled before following the other members. He jumped down and extended his shield, catching in on a branch. He braced and landed before his shield came down after him. Turning y back into his spear, he holstered it and began to run to the clearing. He pushed through the rough brush as he hurried to his team members.

Lost Thought seemed almost nonexistent while everyone was talking. Her eyes were scanning the area wildly, and she couldn't seem to stay focused. After some time passed, she decided to sneak away from the group and hide behind a nearby tree. When she was out of sight, she lifted her hand to her head and resisted the urge to scream. This is why she hated the forest, There was always to much going on out of her sight, and it was almost impossible to accurately write about what she couldn't see. 

 

She never really knew why she felt the need to record everything (her observation ability) that wasn't her memories; but she knew that when she couldn't it bothered her. She heard another rustle behind a bush, and turned around to see... A bush. ​"This is infuriating!"

She still managed to keep an ear open toward the groups conversation, and when she heard who her team leader was and that it was time to go. She started walk over to the cliff. She decided the sooner she was done the better. She looked down at the area below and thought of a way to get down. She used her motion dust to create a slide of circular patterns down the side of the mountain, and prepared to ride it towards Flames position. She yelled towards the group before leaped, "Lost Thought reporting~" And she was off.

It was a little rougher than expected, but she was alive. "Sorry Flame for leaving you like that... had something to take care of. I will take a look at that weapon when we get back, but for now I really want to focus on this mission... Are the others here yet?"

"No they are not but we can fight the Deathstalker for a short bit till they get here...now lets go" Flame said as he reloaded his spear with fire dust crystals. "I'm gonna burn any other grimm that get in the way of our goal" He said as he started to move forward
