And I actually like the Flash/Twilight ship (I think I'm the only one). So I actually enjoyed his little cameo and the grin he gave Twilight. That being said! I'm sure that's all it was- a cameo. It lives in it's own little universe. This would also mean that Twilight and Flash never met in the first place. Anyway, let me throw out an in universe reason, because technical explanations are boring. Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry are adults. Any feelings they have for each other will not overtake all emotions when in each other's presence. Twilight isn't going to turn into Hinata Hyuga every time she sees Flash Sentry. We also don't know what pony Flash Sentry feels for Twilight, if anything. And even if they are involved or interested in each other, Flash has more free time than Cadance. It would be easier for him to get time off to spend with Twilight. There's a fanfic in there somewhere. Dolphanatic 298 February 2, 2014 Share February 2, 2014 (edited) I think it was mention somewhere that the events of EQG would not be canon in MLP, its kind of an alternate dimension. so Yes Flash Sentry exists and is a gaurd in the crystal empire but he has not met Twilight. That's my headcanon. Personally, I wish the animators could have used another guard or at least recolored Flash's model to prevent all the confusion. Any dialog between Flash and Twilight concerning the events in Equestria Girls would've made that movie canon, and I'd rather that movie not be canon. It could be that Twilight's sexual preference is towards other mares, given Equestria's ridiculously large female to male ratio. However, that's just me at a common fanon perspective. No! As much as I dislike the possibility of Flash sentry being Twilight's romantic interest, one of the few things that could possibly be worse would be if they needlessly tried to turn the show into forced pandering just to please some shipping fanfiction writers. The show is fine the way it is: A show for everyone. Being the main protagonist, Twilight Sparkle deserves far better than to be mindlessly paired with some generic cardboard cutout cute guy.
