searching (SEARCHING) Rincewind in Equestria! (adventure)

Ok, so I am planning to start up a Terry Pratchett's Discworld x MLP ccross-over Roleplay.

 

The main story line is due to a spell cast by another wizard, Rincewind gets transported to Equestria as a pony and must figure out how to get back to Ankh Morphork on the Disc. Following Rincewind is his trusty sapien pearwood trunk and of course Death.

 

 

 

This will be mainly a adventure RP but there is room for romance if it comes to that.

 

I am looking for someone to play as Death, the Princesses, Discord and the Mane 6, as well as OCs.

I myself, will be playing as my oc Meadowlark and Rincewind (or at least trying to). I am also looking for a co RP Master who can run the RP and keep people in line when I am not online.

 

Slots will always be open.

 

Rules:

 

- General/Usual website and forum rules apply

- Keep it PG 13+ please

- Swearing is allowed, but it is asked you keep it to a minimum

- Alicorns ARE allowed, but only if they aren't OP (i.e they have limits)

- This is Adventure, so a little bit of violence is expected but I ask it isn't done over the top

- Respect me, the co RP Master and every other player.

- What I and the co RP Master says goes, there will be no arguing

- Try to include everyone every once in a while

- Above all else, have fun!

I am on right now to see what's going on, and I think that I will get a good kick out of being in this.

 

I'll have to do a bit more digging around with Death, but I do love playing as him. Or maybe I could get my friend Lord Death to do that, no.

 

I would like to play as Death and my OC, who will be one of the bits of cruel and unusual geography that Rincewind has to outrun.

that is fine, though you do know Death isn't necesarily cruel, just.. well he isn't cruel at all (not from the books/series i've read/watched)

Yeah, it's the first one in my sig.

 

And yeah, Death is a real stand up, albeit inefficient, guy who get's to know you after you die so he can learn more about humans.

 

Also, my Grandpa will probably help me out a LOT in this since I know most everything I know about the Discworld from him.

 

Also, Cohen the Barbarian is the best character.

Yeah, i got into Discworld through family as well, I got started on Soul Music and then went from there

 

I am thinking maybe we should have Luna act as the Patrician? She seems like a likely candidate (cynical but not sadistic)

and Shining Armor as Captain Vymes?

 

Chain Mail seems very interesting, I'll ad him in, but like I said in the rules section, keep swearing and violence to a minimum

 

Also as you seem to know quite a lot about Discworld, would you like to be co RP Master?

I tried to post last night, but my internet just stopped working, and I couldn't get it back on, on my minilaptop that I have.

 

One of the things I plan on having Chain Mail doing is trying to raise an army of children, only to be stopped almost immediately because he's working with children, who are all unicorns.

 

Although, he would have the style of Carcer. Namely, the "Kill the bakers and steal the whole bakery" kind of means of crime.

I'll do discord... TBH I haven't read a lot of terry pratchett, only a hat full of sky and I shall wear midnight, so I don't know too mich about it, but my brother has read nearly all his books, so I could ask him a thing or two if nescesary.

 

Discord is perfect for me on the other hand. I've watched every episode he's in at least 10 times so I think I know how to act like him pretty well. It just depends on how much you trust me in powers and such, since discords magic technically would allow him to 'godmod', but if I were to do that I'd have to be really carefuo not to go too far and keep it fun for everyone.

 

Anyway, no matter what, sign me up for discord...

Excellent, I'll put you down as Discord, do you want to play as an OC too? and yeah, i'd like it if you could try your best to keep godmodding to a minimum, maybe just do something like in the  first discord episode where he made it rain chocolate milk with candy floss clouds and such

Just a note as a Discworld purist. In all the books he appeared in, Rincewind only used one spell. That was in the second Discworld book. "The Light Fantastic". It was such a powerful spell, none other would stay in his head because they feared it. Actually, the spell used him to save the world. The spell then left his head, and Rincewind never used magic again. He relies on fear, luck, and running VERY fast in any direction AWAY from danger. It would fit better if Rincewind was sent to Equestria due to some other wizard's misfired spell. Perhaps Rincewind could find a bejeweled amulet representing the element of cowardice, and it somehow transports him.

Yeah, I was talking with The Questioner about music based on Discworld and the idea came into my head, I needed to do a roleplay that isn't romance, (ok this has a possibility for Romance, but Rincewind is so hopeless and clueless I don't really see it happening) and then I thought, hey Discworld and MLP, what a great idea!

I just came up with an interesting point. Almost everypony, or at least all the unicorns, would be able to see death because they are more physically attatched to the principals of magic, so they would be able to see octarine.

 

Because wizards can see octarine, that's how rincewind was always able to see death.
