I have to say, that short film they put at the start of the game when they added the Free Hoxton heist was definitely worth watching! Now all I need to do now is actually do that heist...

 

It's amazing. It's an actually good heist that is basically like Heat Street from the first game, but has enough differences and fixes what was annoying with it enough so it distinguishes itself. Plus on OVK it has an amazing payout, XP and cash-wise.

Awesome! I managed to do the heist with a friend of mine yesterday, though we did it on medium to get a feel for the heist first (that and my friend likes using Hoxhud, which hadn't updated at the time).

Yeah, without HoxHUD it's nowhere near the same. Especially since my group of 4 generally does only OVK and Death Wish, and you NEED HoxHUD on Death Wish to know how much time you have remaining for spawns during an assault. Like, you remember the parking garage that you had to lower the bollards for? Well imagine that on DEATH WISH where you have to pick one lock at a time going up with all four people, then camp in each one as an assault happens, then eventually find a skulldozer in the room at the top and have to take him out, then camp for the hacking, then run all the way back down. It's craziness. We never even finished Day 1, we got killed either at or before we told the driver to move after we lowered the bollards.

My friend assumed it would be at the top floor, so we ended up doing that in reverse. Still, managed to successfully make it despite how his character build isn't quite optimal for loud missions since he's more of a stealth guy. As for me, I go for an enforcer build. I guess with HoxHUD updated, my friend and I will be having another go at it in a harder difficulty.

I've only played the demo but there was this one song that was simply fantastic. It was a really fun game XD and everytime I played it the bank ended up sounding like world war 3.

 

 

that song, it's amazing! Not to mention one of the artists, Simon Viklund, did work on Bionic Commando Rearmed's soundtrack as well which I liked a lot.

 

I should get Payday 2 one day just to see what the rest of it is like

Just a heads up, since Payday 2 is now a featured game in the Steam sale, it might be a good idea to get it now if you haven't got it (or if you want the DLC).

well, if I remember The Butcher was not made by Overkill, so the jobs may not have that payday charm. but I'll give it the benefit of a doubt. but the new character, I'm just gonna stick with Hoxton

I dunno, they do have the largest Steam group out there, it's possible. I'll probably get the 20$ pack. I figure if anyone deserves my gaming budget, it's them. 300 hours played time for something I bought on sale? I'm good with shelling out 20 bucks to them.

I don't know about you guys, but the goals in this event seem a little... unrealistic.

 

Things like this I don't want to invest in. If I spend 20$ and only like, half the goals are met. I will be pretty disappointed, Im not a gambler.

Looking back at my post, it seems I was a fool. While it hasn't been unlocked as of when I'm typing this, Paydaycon is probably going to be a thing. I wonder how they'll pull that off. Also, if you missed it, it seems owning Hotline Miami 2 will get you Jacket and he is definitely going to be my new default heister (sorry Clover).

Oh my god... I just did the Car Shop heist that was released for spring break... IT'S BLOODY AMAZING! You just need to play it, it is perfect. I can't wait for more content with cars!
