Espy Vibe 4,380 January 12, 2024 Share January 12, 2024 I use cough drops for mild irritation. For more severe or annoying irritation, a honey tea of some sort does well for me! And the same applies to some cough drops. I use the former more, though! @Tacodidra What is salty licorice flavor? 2 Espy Vibe
Iforgotmybrain 5,771 January 12, 2024 Share January 12, 2024 Sleeping until it goes away. I’ve tried every sore throat medicine imaginable and none of them have ever worked for me. I simply have to live with the pain

Retro*Derpy 3,195 January 12, 2024 Share January 12, 2024 I only rarely get sore throats but they come in full blast. If cough drops aren't enough I usually get hydrocodone syrup.

I believe it's only popular in the Nordic countries, as well as Germany and the Netherlands (and maybe a couple of other countries). I'd say the "salty" part describes it better – I've heard people who aren't familiar with it often find it disgusting, but the ones who tried it as a kid will always like it. In Finland, we've put it almost anywhere you can think of – candy, medicine, alcohol, meat... Sadly many of the best-tasting cough medicines seem to have been discontinued (Expigen and Kvilla are two brands I've really liked)...
