I've noticed that Season 4 of MLP:FiM seems to be doing shout-outs of something Disney-related more often

 

Bats!: The song was very reminisce of The Nightmare Before Christmas!

 

Pinkie Apple Pie: Pinkie could work at Splash Mountain after what I've seen her do at the waterfall.

 

Three's a Crowd: Blue Flu Discord singing a crazy musical number that sounds like a dark reprise of Aladdin's Genie singing "You Ain't Never Had a Friend Like Me!"

 

Pinkie Pride: Wow! Many of the songs sound very similar to famous Disney songs!

• Pinkie the Party Planner: "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast
• Super Party Pony: Written with "Supercalifragilistic" from Mary Poppins in mind
• Pinkie's Lament: Some fans have noticed the similar tone to Mulan's "Reflection", Frozen's "Let It Go!", and Nightmare Before Christmas' "Poor Old Jack"

Twilight Time: Sweetie Belle attempting to magic a broom reminds me of Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey Mouse!

I think those are just references to the movies that Disney made at the time, so possibly.

It's just a coincidence or reference at best.

 

That, and Daniel Ingram was part of Disney I beleive..
