ShadOBabe 19,023 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 (edited) Well I saw a lot of art and screenshots floating around. And I was like, "Huh? Where's this coming from?" Then I heard people talking about My Little Pony. And I was like, "It got revived? Wow. Why's it floating around so much online?" And then I heard that a bunch of adult dudes were really liking it. And I was like, "Haha, no way!! Really? That's neat." And then I heard that it was made by Lauren Faust. And I was like, "OMG, Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends... Okay, I gotta see this. I'm not one of those 'cartoons are for babies' goobers. I LOVE cartoons and I loved my horse toys as a kid!! Let's do this!!" And then I watched it and I was like, "Hey this is fun!! Pretty art!! OMG, there's a cowgirl pony and fashionista pony and a *GAAAAAASP*... shiny, white sun goddess pony!! KATY LIKES SUN GODDESS PONY!! 8D" And now here I am!! Edited February 25, 2014 by ShadOBabe Check out my artwork any time: http://shadobabe.deviantart.com/ "OMG; You are such a troll. ghostfacekiller39 23,862 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 I saw a bunch of bronies getting trolled on Youtube and decided to see what all the fuss was about What attracts me to the show, though, is the amazing cast of characters it has. I swear, those little ponies are so lovable (especially Rares ) And interesting, plus the writing is really damn good for a kid's show He who is Positively Obsessed With All Things Rarity!!! Zyla Fae 5,411 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 (edited) Someone told me that there was a character named Doctor Whooves in the show, that was all it really took. (Though it took a few tries before I managed to get through 30 seconds of the show...) Edited February 25, 2014 by Chocolate Chess
Red Diamond 549 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 It all started in late 2010. I was 12 years old at the time, and I saw my sister(5 at the time) watching MLP. I said "pfft... that's gay. It's not like there is a fandom to it.". 3 months later(2011), I was actually right. I thought it was still gay, but as months pass, I got more and more curious with it, so on June 5th, 2011, I opened my laptop, went on YouTube, and I watched the first episode of MLP, and to my surprise, I actually liked it. I watched all of season 1 in 2 days, since it ended a month earlier. That's how I got interested in MLP. I'm no longer interested in MLP though, but I post here because I get rather bored at times, and I have nothing to do at my house besides swim, but I live in north Florida, so it gets kind of cold here in the winter seasons. It can be mild, like 70 degrees, like today, but it was kind of cold to actually do it. BTW, it was cleaning dayyy... 1 ATTENTION!! I DO NOT TAKE REQUESTS! Radiance64 7,056 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 Well, throughout the course of 2011 I saw all sorts of varying degrees of MLP praise and hate across various gaming forums I visited and whatnot, which didn't affect me much at first but eventually it drove my curiousity, and I found the show on television. Then I watched it, loved it, and the rest is history.
GenderIsAnIllusion 2,178 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 Well mostly I lost a bet.... And I also had some curiosity about the show. That's what drew me to it. What hooked me was... It's just an honestly, non gimmicky, good show. My peep is against bullying.... Appleloosa 90 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 I got into it the way I believe most bronies with a younger sister do. We were fighting over what to watch one Summer day, and after a coin flip, she won and we watched MLP. Lets just say I was upset I couldnt watch baseball at the time, but now Im thankful of losing that coin flip haha. After that first episode (MMMystery on the Friendship Express) I was hooked and "let" her get her way of watching MLP for the rest of the Summer.
Discordian 6,018 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 Would you believe all it took was someone tell me it existed and finding Ponies Anthology to drag me in? I'm easy to please.

The Leafeon Pinkeh 3,603 February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 this. xD and my sister was like "apparently its a good show- lets watch it" and I just follow the crowd along- if its something thats not life-ruining or something xD I guess I kept watching the show because my sister kept watching it o.o and I liked it because... well the music was great :DD and it had great quality and animation. I don't really watch the show anymore, but the fandom is great still d: Signature: Akagami no Shirayuki-hime What do you think of me?: http://kevan.org/johari?name=pinkeh
Princess Lona 382 February 26, 2014 Share February 26, 2014 I watched the old show as a kid, and in early 2012, I didn't even know there was a g4 yet. I watch a lot of flash animation, mostly on Albinoblacksheep.com. It was there that I saw an ad looking for voice actors for a fan parody. I love voice acting so I looked the show up to see if I could mimic any of the characters. I was expecting it to be the same terrible crap I watched as a kid, but after watching the pilot, I was hooked. I guess the reason I liked it was that I was mad at how I had been sucked in by the old show and it's garbage stereotypes of what is considered feminine and "girlie". So when FIM presented me with realistic and varied characters, and plot lines which said something that actually matters, I just fell in love with it by comparison. I despise children's entertainment that doesn't respect children's intelligence. FIM respects children's intelligence. My OC, Tabula.
Tigerpop198 696 February 26, 2014 Share February 26, 2014 (edited) It was 2012, and I watched ponies on tv, that's all it really took. What I really like about the show is the characters, and their personalities. Edited February 26, 2014 by pony12343
