Berry Family?

If you read the first page of this topic you could see all the factions and lore of this particular role play go ahead and check it out. The berry family is a rather cocky crime syndicate that specializes in the trade of energy weapons.

Hazmat would gun them down and take it from them...

they are a cocky crime syndicate... do you know nothing about Hazmat...

Well they are one of the most dangerous crime syndicates so you gotta need back up friend. I mean a bunch of advanced tech in the hands of thugs is something the steelrangers won't tolerate for long.

Its going to take more than energy weapons to bring down Hazmat, The Friends (Fiends) learned that the hard way...

But the Friends are still dangerous, even proving to be a challenge for the NCR (New Canterlot Republic).

Yeah that is why they had the Brotherhood of steel on the run... and tell that to the veteran rangers

Their training isn't what beat the brotherhood, it was their numbers. Operation sunburst was an NCR victory because of their (20:1) ratio compared to the brotherhood. The reason veteran rangers are good cause you know they served at least 20 years and the rangers are the best of the best of ncr troopers. Reasons aside the brotherhood slaughtered the ncr troopers with only numbers allowing them to prevail. But yeah the quality of the trooper usually depended on the trooper himself.

@@Defender of Tomorrow

Thanks! I try to do my best  ^_^

One note, though. I couldn't help but notice that you switched perspectives from third to first person in your most recent post. Was that intentional?

Also, I'll post again shortly!  :)

Funny thing is I changed perspective after a couple of post early on, I wonder if any body else is gonna go on with the trend.

RANDOM

I just noticed something that confused me:

In-Game:

Anti-Material Rifle - 49 DAM

Hazmat's Hunting Rifle - 49 DAM

Wiki:

Anti-Material Rifle - 110 DAM

Hunting Rifle - 51 DAM

What? can someone explain that to me...

@MasterCombine

Let's just go with...yeah! Oh and does ragnar have any deep backstory? Like something that haunts him/ect.

Ragnar is a character in a fic that I'm planning, and he's not yet as well-developed as I'd like (not even close), but in short, yes he does. How much of it he's willing to admit, or in fact even remembers, however, is another story. I'll just say that all the chems and alcohol might be more of a coping mechanism than purely recreational for him.

Also, his tattoos might have a slightly deeper meaning in relation to that backstory. His right flank is marked with what appears to be a large, multi-horned caprid (goat) or bovid skull. Inscribed on either side of the skull are a series of foreign symbols: writing in a language that your character doesn't understand (or perhaps, just perhaps, might vaguely recognize the origin of, depending on their exposure to prewar world history; I'll give you a hint, though. It's very similar to the writing of certain East Asian cultures). On his left flank is depicted a stylized, unknown chimerical creature. It appears to have antlers and the head of an eastern dragon, but its body, while covered in scales, bears more resemblance to that of a horse with cloven hooves. Its tail is also dragon-like, and winds outward around its body in a spiral. If we're using real-world mythical analogies, it's a kirin.

Good luck asking him about those, though.

On the outside, Ragnar just seems like a boisterous, cocky, substance-abusing merc with a weird sense of morality. But the truth about his backstory starts innocuously enough, and then gets darker and... stranger. But like I said, your character/s might get further hints and scraps about the truth, or they might get nothing at all. It all depends on the interactions, and how willing Ragnar is to part with that information.

I guess I'm not the only one that is making a fic with their OC...

I've had the idea for my fic and its characters (Ragnar is in it, but he's not the protagonist) bouncing around in my head for almost a couple years now, but I've never taken any formal steps to start writing it (mostly due to insecurity about my writing skills). I'll just say it involves some countries and factions outside of the Fallout Equestria norm (just like in the Fallout universe, where the Middle East and Europe were also apparently in conflict, my headcanon for Fallout Equestria is that Equestria and Zebrica were not the only two nations at war). I'll probably be planning it  for a little while longer, though. But one day...one day it might see the light of publication  ^_^

I'll be posting soonish. Definitely today  :) I just have a few things to do IRL first.

We can do it, man! We just have to start putting words to (digital) paper. Which is a lot easier said than done, especially when you have a propensity for wanting to over-plan like I do . And when taking one look at some of the best fics out there just makes you feel like a downright inadequate writer... ^_^
