I posted this in the episode topic but no one noticed and I would really like an explanation for it.

 

There's a massive pothole in this episode. How was Applebloom able to call Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo over and Applejack call Rarity over if neither of them left the house? Does equestria have phones or what? Because I far as I can remember, there has been no sign of long distance communication in Equestia besides letters.
