Pancham seemed quite annoyed that's argument was being interrupted, and had no hesitation in using Karate Chop to try and bonk Mienfoo on the head. This Pancham seemed like it was a little stronger the siblings, and was most likely in charge of them while their mother was gone.

Stella caught up with Mienfoo just in time to see her block a Karate Chop with a Pound attack. Such a move was very risky, but it seemed to pay off, as neither Pancham or Mienfoo seemed hurt. "Mienfoo!" Stella yelled at her partner. Acting without permission was idiotic. But, they couldn't exactly leave now. "Alright... Use Meditate, I guess." Mienfoo stood between the Minnico and Pancham. She looked to be concentrating.

Damien was noticed the girl with the corner of his eye, but he kept his focus glued to the battle before him. This was the perfect opportunity to deal some damage quickly, and Damien siezed it. "Plusle, now is the chance! Use Quick Attack, then quickly come back and use Thunder Wave!" "Plusle! Plu... le! Plusleeeeeee!" Plusle moved forward in a blur, and tackled Poochyena, and then it jumped back and unleashed another wave of electricity in midair. The air around Poochyena crackled, and Damien hoped that the Poochyena would give up soon.

Pancham chuckled lightly and began to start moving into a sparring like stance and bouncing on it's toes, using Work Up to boost it's attack before rushing in to Tackle Mienfoo. Mincinno simply started to back away towards her siblings.

Cedric finally finished sketching the Abra, just in time to see it flash away out of sight. Looking around, Cedric noticed that shy girl from earlier. "Wow already caught another huh? Awesome job! Well I gotta do the same now so, see ya maybe!" Cedric left just as quickly as he had come up and practically threw Slugma at a Pikachu. The Pokemon looked back at him with an annoyed look. "Sorry Mags! Forgot you weren't in your Pokeball!" Ironic since you never keep me in there... Mags simply sighed and jerked his head towards the Pikachu. "Ah right! Hit it with an Ember, please!" Mags quickly acted, shooting a few flames of fire at the Pokemon. The Pikachu noticed at the last moment and dived out of the way, getting up quickly and retaliating with a fast Quick Attack. Mags was hit by the move, but had used Ember while it was close to the Pikachu so it wouldn't be able to dodge. The Pokemon jumped back with a cry, a painful burn on it's arm. It most likely wouldn't be able to attack as hard now.

The Poochyena, unable to move, was directly hit by the attack and knocked backwards. Due to already being paralyzed, Thunder Wave had no effect on Poochyena as it began to limp away from Damien.

@AnonBrony,   The Starly was barely fazed by the attack, but the weak attack did annoy the Pokemon a bit. The Starly quickly flew forward at Budew with the intent on hitting it with a Quick Attack

( Apparently my Petilil evolved into a Budew! XD)

 

The Starly was too quick for Petals to dodge so he landed the attack. Alek gasped in surprised. "Don't worry Petals it's only one hit. You can do it! Now scatter some Leech Seeds then follow up with some Growth!" Petilil tossed some seeds at the Starly and right after used Growth to buff up its attack.

@@AnonBrony, (When I see Absorb, the first thing I think of is Budew Never actually played 5th gen so Budew is what I thought of  XD))

 

As Starly jumped back, it seemed quite surprised that Petilil had ((this took me a while to figure out a clean way of saying)) placed a bunch of seeds on it's feathers. It ignored them as it got ready for an attack, but was soon cut short when it felt some energy drain out of it and seeing some green light transferring to the Grass Pokemon. Starly chirped angrily before once again flying in for a Quick Attack.

"Protect Mincinno, Mienfoo!" Stella commanded. Mienfoo then blocked the Pancham's incoming attack with another Pound. This was much easier, as Pancham had just thrown it's whole body at it. Stella had decided that if she was going to capture a pokemon here, she'd capture the Mincinno. It suited her more, and she didn't need two fighting types. "Alright. Use Pound, but try not to hurt it." Mienfoo then used it's free arm to hit Pancham again, trying to do nothing but throw the other pokemon back. The whole ordeal would probably be a lot easier if Mienfoo knew more than two moves.

The Leech restored Petals up just a little. However, Starly went in for another Quick Attack and since Alek's Petilil just finished using Growth she didn't have time to dodge. The attack landed, but Petals was able to withstand the hit. Then the Leech Seed restored Petals a tiny bit again. Alek noticed Petals was starting to get tired but he knew she could continue so commanded Petals to use Absorb again to help restore her even further. This time she was stronger because of Growth.

"Thank you, Professor Map.." Bethanne began, before realizing the Professor was too engrossed in his work to hear her clearly. She turned and walked out the door, her Hoppip right behind her. "Well, Hoppip, today's the day we finally get to go on our adventure! How do you feel?"

 

"Hoppip, hop!" The pokemon replied, rising into the air even more than it usually did. Bethanne laughed a bit at it's enthusiasm, before turning to face the first of the three routes leading out of the town. "I'm glad you're excited. I am too, to tell you the truth. I can't wait to meet some other pokemon!"

 

A light breeze began to blow, the wind heading towards the route the two were facing. Hoppip, being super light, began to float forward down the path. "Pip, Hoppip!" It cried back towards Bethanne, as if to express impatience. "I'm coming, Hoppip!" Bethanne looked back at the town one last time before heading down the route after her pokemon, slightly sad to be leaving, but more happy to be going on an adventure with her Hoppip.

Zain and skrelp wandered around the area looking at the wild Pokemon as they played or ran about, zain quickly sighed. "C'mon, none of them are even attacking or paying attention to us!" He said in annoyance, before getting an idea "c'mon skrelp, let's search the tall grass over there!" He called, before both of them quickly made their way into the grass.

@, ((I'm going to ignore the second post for two reasons. It messes up the Pokemon surveying, and Route 3 also isn't really a place that has tall grass.))

 

Route 3 was a harsh change from Acai Town and the view of the other routes. It was very dry, with only a few dead trees scattered around before it hit the tree line of Route 2. There also seemed to be a warm breeze that was oddly different from the mild weather of Acai Town. Several Pokemon that would like warm weather and dry areas were scattered around. A few Vullaby were sitting  in some of the dead trees, squawking at eachother and practicing their flying. A sole Mandibuzz loomed at the top, most likely too powerful to attack. A couple Machops and Croagunks were sparring each other, getting a harsher workout in the warmer weather as a somewhat lost looking Shinx sat by and watched. Drilburs and Sandshrews were teasing a Tepig by burrowing under the ground before it could reach them. A couple Aipoms were in some of the other dead trees while a Magby waddled over to attempted to help out the Tepig.

The Absorb still didn't do very much damage, but a toll was definitely starting to set on the Pokemon. Starly shook it's head to regain some composure and went in for a simple Tackle attack.

Hoppip had been pulled onto Route 1, where a boy with long hair had seemingly just caught a Pokemon. He picked up his Slugma and hugged it tight, saying a few things to it before releasing his tight grip but not the Pokemon itself. A Hoppip suddenly bumped into his head and he looked confused for a second before seeing a girl chasing after the Pokemon. The boy grabbed the Pokemon's little foot to keep it steady and smiled at the girl chasing after it. "Did you happen to lose something?" Cedric noticed another boy fighting a Starly with a Petilil before looking back at the Hoppip's trainer.

Being too stunned to react, the Mincinno simply looked dazed at Mienfoo as Pancham came up behind with another Karate Chop. 

Stella rubbed the back of her head. Her face displayed a mixture of annoyance and disappointment. "Dammit, Mienfoo. I told you to protect the Mincinno. Not attack it." Mienfoo blinked and apologetically scratched the back of her head. She then bowed to the Mincinno, trying to apologize. The vulnerable state led Mienfoo to being hit in the back by the Karate Chop. Once Pancham had backed off slightly, Mienfoo jumped up and tried to hit it with another Pound.

Ace thanked the professor, but ignored the other trainers as they left to begin their adventures, instead deciding to take this time to click through his Pokédex and log Riptide into it's memory. He smiled and patted Riptide on the head as he closed his Pokédex and put it into his pocket. "Alright! One down, a few hundred to go! I wonder...what's the next Pokémon that I'll see? Hopefully it's something rare!" he mumbled, as he walked out the door. Ace then contemplated which route to take. "Hmm...let's take route 2, I have a good feeling about it..." he said, grinning to Riptide. Riptide nodded and smiled happily, as they both walked into route 2.

Zain looked around at all of the Pokemon and decided to pick which one he should challenge first. He quickly decided on the shinx and approached it with a pokeball levitating beside his head and at the ready. "Let's go skrelp, time to fight!" He said, as his skrelp leapt forward and prepared for battle.

Petal anticipated that Starly would come in for another attack, and since it wasn't a super fast Quick Attack, she was able to dodge the incoming flying type, just barely though. "Good job. Now Absorb one more time!" The Pokemon did as commanded and absorbed more of the Starly. After the Absorb and Leech Seed did their things, Alek clutched a Pokeball in his hand. "Let's try this... Go Pokeball!"

Mincinno understood that Meinfoo was just following misheard instructions and was about to bow back when the Pancham attacked again. Triumphant he had finally gotten a hit on the Mienfoo, the Pancham smiled cockily and got himself into a vulnerable position that allowed Pancham to get hit. Mincinno then suddenly jumped over Mienfoo and used Pound as well to hit the Pancham. The panda Pokemon yelled a few violent sounding retorts before storming off away from the two Pokemon. Minccino turned back around and rubbed her head a little before smiling at Mienfoo.

The Shinx jumped back, quite surprised. He had wandered away from Mandarin City on accident and was now being attacked? Not exactly his day... But the Shinx reacted quickly, charging at Skrelp with a Tackle Attack.

Starly was now very weak and put up nearly no struggle when the Pokeball hit the top of it's head.

 

 

 

Starly's data has been added to the Pokedex.

Starly, the Starling Pokemon. They flock in great numbers. Though small, they flap their wings with great power.

 

 

First Encountered: Route 1 - OT: Alek - Gender: Male

Nature: Brave (*snicker* He's a brave bird). Likes to run. [Doesn't affect stats, only characteristcs]

Ability: Keen Eye

Moveset: Growl, Tackle, Quick Attack. Learns Wing Attack with very minimal training.

Stella sighed and shook her head. "Excellent work, Mienfoo." Mienfoo nodded in response to the compliment, then attempted to shake Mincinno's hand. Or paw, rather. Stella then crouched down beside the Mincinno. "Are you alright?" She asked, in the most soothing voice she could muster.

the skrelp wasn't ready for the sudden attack and was hit and sent skidding for about two feet. After it stopped zain cursed "hold in there skrelp! Use smokescreen to blind it!" He ordered. The skrelp quickly nodded and shot a jet of smoke from its mouth and at the shinx.

Ace glanced around the various Pokémon in the area, an eager grin on his face. "Hehe, not a bad lineup...but which one? Hmm...how about...there! that poochyena! Alright Riptide, start off by attacking it with rage!" he said, pointing at the wild poochyena, gesturing for his carnivah to attack it. Riptide nodded, and proceeded to rush at the poochyena, as it began to glow red.

"Yes!" Alek said as the Pokemon finished moving signifying that he caught the Starly. He then picked up the Petilil and put her back on his shoulder. "You did great Petals." He reached into his bag for a treat. "Here you deserve it." The cute little Pokemon happily grabbed the treat and began to munch of it ferociously. "Petil petil!" 

 

At that moment Alek saw a girl with a few other Pokemon who appeared to be in some weird battle. He watched as it occurred and then laughed when he saw the Pancham ran away. He was impressed by how her two Pokemon worked together. He walked over to her.

 

"Well that was something." He said standing behind her. "Your Pokemon work well together. Name's Alek. You a beginning trainer as well?

The journey to Acai town was a long one. Abaddon was finally strong enough to fight properly, and Frode was ready to begin his journey. Well, the only reason he even came to Acai town was to receive a pokedex, and even then it was because he was doing Professor Maple a favor at the behest of his parents.

Frode strolled in to Professor Maple's lab, Abaddon following close behind him. "Hello, I'm uh, looking for Professor Maple?" He said to the first person he saw with a lab coat.

Henry thrust his fist into the air in victory. "Yes, Plusle! Our first battle together; and you won!" Henry gave Plusle an Oran Berry as a reward, perched it on his shoulder, and searched for a Turtwig. "Now I know how powerful you are, and with those skills, we'll be unbeatable! Now, how about we catch ourselves a Turtwig?" "Plus, Plus, Plusleeee!"

He searched for Turtwig. "There is bound to be a Turtwig somewhere; this looks like the perfect environment for one. He looked at his Pokedex, it had documented a little infirmation on Poochyena. Many of the spaces were sadly blank, Henry imagined every single spot filled with information. He continued to walk through the grass, searching for Pokemon as Plusle was in his Pokeball, Henry felt that Plusle deserved the small rest.

"Pip, hoppip hop!" The pokemon cried, slightly annoyed that its foot had been grabbed. It wriggled its foot, desperately trying to loose itself from the boy's grasp.

 

Bethanne walked up to the boy in front of her, her excitement slowly turning into slight nervousness. "Oh, um... Thanks. I didn't really lose him, I just.... I mean, he just tends to travel ahead of me." She tried to hold eye contact as little as possible, letting her eyes wander to look at the other pokemon in the area. She shuffled her feet slightly, and turned to look at the boy. "But thanks for grabbing him. I was too far behind to do anything if the wind had picked up." She reached for the pokemon, gently taking it out of the boy's hand.

 

"Hoppip!" The pokemon called, wishing to eagerly resume it's drifting on the wind. Bethanne held on tightly, not wanting the pokemon to fly away again. "I'm, uh... I'm Bethanne, by the way. This is Hoppip." "Hoppip!" The pokemon said, jovially, as if to confirm it's owner.

Alek then took noticed of two trainers talking at the beginning of the Route. Petals took notice as well, especially the Hoppip the girl was holding. As Alek was going to wlak over and say hi the Petilil jumped right off his shoulders and went ahead. "Petals!" The Pokemon scurried along toward the girl, stopping just a few feet in front of her. "Petil petil!" She jumped up and down. "Petals don't bother the trainers. I guess she's taking a liking to your Hoppip. Greetings, I'm Alek. You two must be new trainers as well."

Shinx hissed angrily and coughed when the smoke blasted into his face It jumped forward, attempting to Tackle Skrelp, but had lost sense of direction and had come out of the cloud to the left of Skrelp, causing him to simply tumble forward a few feet.

The Poochyena perked it's ears at the sound of a yelling voice and turned it's head just in time to see the scariest Pokemon it had ever seen barringly towards him. The Poochyena started tripping over it's feet to get away, causing the Rage attack to just barely miss. Then, the Poochyena began kicking sand at the Pokemon in defense.

The man in the lab coat seemed to be too engrossed in his work to notice. An Espeon sitting on the table eyed the Absol warily before tapping the man with it's branched tail.  Another trainer has come, Charles. "Huh? Oh! Thank you Jade, dear. Yes, I am Professor Maple, and that looks like a powerful Pokemon you got there! It looks young though, so I assume you're here for a Pokedex?" Without waiting for an answer, Maple grabbed one off the table and walked over to Frode. "Here you go son. Good luck on your journey." With a final warm smile, Maple quickly turned around and got back to work, whispering to the Psychic type Pokemon every now and then.

Cedric smiled warmly as the girl took her Pokemon back and dipped his head slightly when she introduced herself. He was fairly tall, and had to look down a little to talk to her face. "A pleasure. Cedric Alistair Witlock... Although I assume you'd like to call me Cedric. This is Mags and this-" The boy went to grab a Heal Ball off of his belt but it burst open before he could touch it, a Pikachu appearing on the ground in front of them both. "Hehe. This is... Apollo." The Pikachu crossed it's arms but gave a hint of a smile, indicating he didn't mind the name given to him. Another Pokemon waddled over and another trainer followed suit. Mags would never run off from him like that! Although, that may have been because Cedric rarely ever put him down. "Hi there! A pleasure, Alek. I'm Cedric Alastair Witlock, although... Cedric's fine. This is Mags and Apollo." Cedric gave this trainer a warm smile as well before quickly wrapping a blue band around Apollo's arm (Kinda looks like a Choice Band but isn't)). The yellow Pokemon seemed to protest but eventually let Cedric do his work. "Oh uh... I'm doing this to show a unity of my team. Once Mags becomes a Macargo and has a shell I can put a band on, he's gonna get one too," Cedric explained to the two trainers.

Henry noticed the sprout and the brown in the grass, and approached closer. He held Plusle's Pokeball in one hand, and another empty Pokeball in the other. "Alright, I think that's a Turtwig!" He lept closer and threw the Pokeball at the Turtwig, which moved, giving awaythe fact that it was a Turtwig, not a fallen branch. Plusle cried out as he appeared in a flash of light, "Plusle! Le? Plusle!" "Plusle! Use Quick Attack!" Plusle moved forward in a blur, tackling the Turtwig, and was returning to Henry when it tripped on a branch and fell, flailing its arms, giving Turtwig a chance to strike. "Plus... leeee!" "Oh no, Plusle! Get back up, please!"
