Would Ponies amputate broken wings?

I would think if a pony had a wing "broken beyond repair", they would get an expert unicorn healer to do the job.

 

Some kind of magic spell would do the trick.

 

Heck, maybe even Zecora could mix up a potion.

Yeah i already figured out unicorn healers probably can mend broken bones, the problem is muscles. Muscles isnt just something easy to fix honestly. If the tissue is broken beyond repair i seriously believe even unicorn magic wouldnt be able to fix it.

Well, there is a pretty big difference between what humans can do and what Unicorns can do. ^^"

 

I honestly don't think it would be much of a problem for one.

 

I mean, when Apple Bloom's tooth was broken/chipped/whatever you want to call it, Zecora healed it almost instantly with what resembled a brand new tooth.

 

I can understand muscles and all that, but I really don't think Magic has its limits

Remember when Twilight fashioned those wings for Rarity? If a pony that specialized in that kind of magic, or even Celestia herself were to try a similar spell, I'm sure a set of wings that are slightly less fragile (and maybe look more like Pegasus wings) could be made to replace the pony's wings (although, yes, the wing that needs to be replaced would probably need to be amputated first

I remember that, but that was a temporary and fragile set of wings. They were weaved together with magic. But good point, she could move those wings and it was never explained how she could move them, so it could be an artificial magic nerve that connects the wings to the pony.
