Hazmat looked at Hazel and said "If you are ever in the Moohave, give me a call, I am located in Vault 19..." Hazmat then began to walk into the Wasteland. His revolver was in its holster and his hunting rifle on his back. He lifted his mask a bit when he knew nopony could see him and pulled out a bottle of RadX, he took one and lowered his mask again before he continued to walk into the wasteland.

With the situation tensing up, I refused to put away Silence, instead opting to just lay it next to me until the tension had cleared. The Ranger was pissing me off, and Baryon's frantic worry and anger wasn't helping. "FOR THE LOVE OF CELESTIA, SHUT UP! This bickering is bloody annoying. If you don't shut up i'll shoot you all!" I rubbed my temples together.

"You two go into the shack," I said to Kayle and Baryon, "I'll keep an eye on these two. And don't worry about Anaphora, Baryon. Amber's out looking for her, and I'm sure she will find her." At least, I hope she does....

I watched Hazmat leave with his robot. Strange pony, that one. Whatever. I tuned to the Ranger and sighed. He was mashing a big red button. What a big strong Star Paladin he was.... I took silence from next to me and shot the remote. "For Luna's sake, could you be any more annoying?"

--------------------------------------

Fruitless. I can't find that mare to my life. I checked all around the blast site and all throughout the area, but nothing. I sat down and kicked at the dirt. Baryon would be so devastated if I couldn't find her. I continued poking at the ground until I felt something wet on my hoof. I didn't even care as I licked it to see what it was. I swirled it in my mouth a moment but at first contact I was already sure what it was. In the wasteland, you never forget the taste of blood.

I looked closely at the ground till I spotted another drop. "Ah ha! Ah found ya! Well, maybe. But ah'm hot on the trail." I followed the trail as best I could, making sure to keep my eyes on the ground at all times for any deviation in pattern. "Ana! Anaphora! Ah swear on mah caravan if'n y'all don't come out right now, ah'll hunt you down then shoot ya and drag you back to Baryon mahself if'n ah have too." Wow the accent came out strong. The stress was really getting to me... and the fatigue. I was really due for a nap once I found Ana.

(Did I over do it with the accent? I can tone it down if it seems like too much)

Night.

On the Zero Mark, adjusted to 30 minute on the dial. Her hoof on top of the scope, adjusted the elevation turret to adjusted for the mileage. With Drop of the Bullet Velocity in tact with the Equation. She was ready. The sniper rifle she's used for so long.  Goddess, how many times has she actually gone off and repair this rifle? With this being her go-to weapon it was obvious that this gun needed much care. Duct tape wrapped two of the replacement parts to help "mod" the rifle. The barrel was taken off and replaced with a anti-material rifle. More weight, but it gives more range when firing. A handle on the right side of the scope, precision duct taped wrapped around the it so it would be easy to retrieve and move when necessary. bipod took time and was actually modded on to help avoid recoil when firing again. .308 Winchester were placed inside the clip while being taped with another clip, this round having 3 armor-piercing bullets. All of it, including the duct tape was then painted on a wasteland color to help ignoring the obvious large rifle coming down somepony's head.

A small fire just a small blur to the Sniper Earth Pony. She could see the distance of how far the ponies she had on her scope are. "Shouldn't be long now." she mutters. these kind of shots become more of math and physics than just skills themselves. Each time she has to deal with a certain job, it's imperative to set-up a space where she could go and find a sniping spot. She's been on this spot for about two full days. Packing Light with small provision with food and bullets. Her body hidden benenath a brown blanket with only the scope and barrel of the rifle showing. However, with it being night and the EFS range not really reaching over a mile. She had everything to her advantage. The only thing she could do was wait. Time pasting by as she could see the events unfold in the shack. The same shack that she needs to wait for a certain pony to come in and take care of. So, she waits. Seeing everything unfold....

There has been some movement in the shack, a certain pony came in and settled in. It wasn't her target, but she continue onward. Not bothering to lose her position right on the wasteland floor. The dirt touching her green fur, her mane turned into a ponytail. Her mind just distracting herself softly with these ponies.

Who were these ponies? There was a decent group of them. They seem to appeared from the north. The small hill she lays on gives her the best advantage towards seeing everything. The steel ranger(Honestly, what is he doing here?) and a enclave? Would think that would just lead to bloodshed. Intead, Ponies had a small feast with some banter. Over time, it escalated into a war. A thought came to her. If they see this, would the target just vanish? Having to have to pay some valuable caps to tail him again? Ugh, a sigh came from her mouth. How annoying. The Earth Pony now has to consider her options now. Especially now that "explosion" she heard wasn't exactly quiet. She needed to think of a plan. Maybe fire a warning shot and make the scatter, but those two ponies. The Enclave Pony and Steel Ranger... Probably one of them has some big firepower. Steam wasn't particularly meant for a battle up-front. That would just lead to certain death, not to mention the other ponies who probably have guns and will also lead to death. Or something more along the lines of her losing all her weapons and equipment. Steam won't get her target, won't get her caps and would have to invest more caps to find say target again. This just gets better and better.

The clock was ticking and there wasn't any time to really think of a plan, checking her saddles bags for firepower. She felt her 9mm pistol. Worn out and wouldn't doubt a jam when she attempt to fire a clip. A few pulse mines and grenades. Might be useful against the Power-armor folks, but the others will probably be able to handle it.  Some radgator and a radroach.

With all that in mind, she was going to have to... talk to them. Raiders they are not. This was some type of group that she has never heard of it. So, they might be friendly enough to move or least pay them to move.

Make a make-shift white flag and see if she could spring up a deal. The cloak wrapped around her body will do just fine, wrapping it around the barrel of the rifle and took the long trot over to the shack. No wind nearby. Even in darkness, one of them should be able to notice the tall green-fur mare who has a rifle her back. The brown cloaked just dangling from the it's ends. Boy was this going to be one of those days....

Hazmat continued walking when he saw a tall cloaked pony out of the corner of his eye. He noticed that the pony was walking towards the group and decided to just keep walking. He knew that because of the direction he was going and the speed he was walking he would end up passing it. He just avoided eye contact and continued walking. The pony had a rifle on it's back. He looked at ED-E who was flying next to him. ED-E turned towards Hazmat and made a beeping noise. He was hoping that he could make it to Stalliongrad by midnight tomorrow, as long as he doesn't run into anything that will slow him down.

Noooo!... that was my favorite button and I was sad face and bored. So instead of entering S.A.T.S and smashing his face in four times a tread outside happened, won't be long till my shipment arrives probably five more minutes. Considering how much I pushed the button they will probably make haste or the more probable outcome take their time cause they know how now inquisitor hazel does things. After trotting in circles for a bit I noticed a rather tall earth pony a inch or two shorter then me. She looked suspicious so I had to do what I was best at. I amplified my royal canterlot voice spell on my helmet and yelled."YOU GET YOUR SORRY GREEN ASS DOWN HERE AND INTRODUCE YOURSELF OR YOU'LL GET FOUR MISSILES FOR DINNER!!!!" I bellowed out as my quad launcher reloaded and opened up S.A.T.S ready to kick in.

The familiar feeling of the wasteland push along the hooves, taking a casual pace to trot over to the shack. Wasn't too long before Steam saw another pony with some kind sprite bot. A slight glance at them as they took the same path as she took for her sniper spot. That wasn't particularly a safe path to take. In fact, if it weren't for agility and stealth. She would've taken other paths like taking turn to the east THAN north.

Her mouth open, trying to speak clearly and loud but her voice came only with a soft feminine "wait..."  she blushed embarrassingly. Thankful for the darkness for anypony to see her red cheeks. Feeling that she's lost her will to speak. She can talk comfortable about caps and targets, but to help? Apparently was out of her grasp. Maybe he heard it, maybe not, but she didn't have time to really wait and find out. As just continue to trot...

A look of contempt was on her. Any red on her cheek worn off and her eyelids lower to look aggravated. Steam heard the loud voice of what was the Steel Rangers. "Geez, Steel Rangers must be SO subtle." she thought aloud. She took the same pace and ignore that Steel Rangers threat. More comfortable with the pace she is on. Part of her wanted to move faster while the other part wanted to see how well she draw her weapon to just shoot the bastard. She didn't change the scope to zero mark and no-scoping is a dumb idea. She just sighed in contempt and walked towards the small group. Seeming to be more tense, she scratched her cheek. A bit nervous about talking to anybody but contractors, but she gulped and said, "Who's the leader of this group?" she asked them. Her pitch higher than before, but her voice was clear. Taking a glance at each and every one of them. Trying to get a better look at who was who. Considering her options at how close she is.

Hazmat heard a faint "wait..." as he passed the tall mare. He turned his head to look at her. He was unsure if she said it or if he was just hearing something. He began to walked back to the camp to find out. He turned around and began to walk back to the camp He was thinking to himself. ED-E trailed behind Hazmat. Once Hazmat was close enough he came up behind the mare and tapped her shoulder. He waited for her to turn around.

@,

Felt the something plastic touch her, as she turned around and saw the pony she told to stop. She smiled nervously and said to him, "Oh, you're back..." she turned and had to think of her repose. Then realizing that  she remember what to tell Hazmat, "If you're going to up there, you need to travel east for a three miles. Going straight north is just begging for trouble, but... of course you can go off and kill yourself." her words flowed more. She forgotten how sarcasm can be use to help her speak better. Sure it made her more of an asshole, but you have to take one thing for another.

Hazmat thought 'okay so it was her' before saying "Thanks for the heads up, but what exactly makes going north so dangerous... besides the usual." He stuck his hoof out for her to shake "I'm Hazmat by the way."  This mare was the first pony he met in weeks that wasn't trying to kill him within the first 5 minutes of meeting them. He actually smiled slightly under his Mask/Helmet. ED-E was floating behind Hazmat, secretly recording all the conversations.

I got up and walk off to behind the shack to think, I liked the green one already she just gave off a vibe. I sat and stared at the moon wondering if one of the goddesses was there judging my actions, probably damning me to Tartarus. I gave of a hearty sigh before I felt a hoof on my armored shoulder. I turned to see a blinding flash of light. " GAH, damn it maple! you gotta stop doing that *sigh* either way got my message and or shipment?" " Yeah yeah we got your gun we all know how you work Hazel. I brought twelve of us just to be sure but you know I really should stop thinking your in trouble. The facility is secured and garrisoned by the way, the griffon was put in a room, nice uh sticky note sir." I switched out my gatling laser with the traditional mini gun, oh did the feeling of spitting lead satisfy more then laser. I stared at maples twin auto cannons as I loaded up my weapon wondering how much damage would that do to an un-armored pony." Thanks for the assist, either way we need to verify the local contingents status and see if they follow the codex close enough as per my inquisitor status gives me the right to do so. One more thing you will not bring harm to anything unless I say so, including my oh so friendly group of ponies here got it." I was responded by the sound of metal hitting metal as they all saluted, ready to die under my command as always.

"Oh? Um.... Down past here is a stretch of a small road which leads to the next town. That whole road is basically full of traps and mines." Steam has ponder for a bit, trying to get the words out, but she's was getting nervous. "D-don't know why, could be some damn Raiders or someone who has some sick sense of humor, but that pony has a good shot." Her hoof raised up, a slight mark around bend of the forehoof, a gaze of the bullet.

"Somehow, I don't think you have the stealth and agility to be able to past by. You might need someone with a shot or big guns like Bazooka Joe over here." she points her hoof at Steelhooves. She turned around and see he got more ponies to come by... lovely. "Do you really need more big guns to compensate for your lack of a shot?" Steam shouldn't of said that, but she still couldn't help herself. She started to feel a little more like an ass, but this mare got to compensate for something as well...

Hazmat noticed that the mare was acting nervous and wondered why. Hazmat then looked at the mark and said "As a way of saying thank you, I can patch that up for you" He said. He then saw a flash and barely even flinched "Oh yeah and the ranger's name is Hazel..." He said. ED-E moved next to Hazmat and mad a beeping noise.

I looked at the gun on the newcomers back and almost tackled her for abusing it, but managed to stop myself, mostly because I noticed robo-colt come back. I watched them talk for a while before being distracted by the contingent of Steel Rangers appearing out of nowhere.Bucking fantastic. I facehoofed then put Silence on my back and walked over to Hazmat and the new mare.

"Hi, name's Steady," I said the new mare. "Whenever we get a chance, I'd like you to teach me how you take care of your gun,. I'd love to take notes." I smiled inside at the sarcastic jab at the mare, thought felt a little bad. "If you need help with your gun though, I'd be happy to help it," I said. I turned to Hazmat. "And welcome back Hazmat. Long time no see." Luna, yes! Sarcasm was just soooo good. Especially to those who really deserve it. "Sarcasm aside, what are you guys talking about?"

Though it was a nice gesture, the tall mare shook her head. She wasn't comfortable with that kind of help. She doesn't really care to win any type of beauty contest anyhow "It's quite alright. Just don't want anypony to be a statistic for that pony." she really didn't like that pony. Taking a note to see if she could take over that street whenever she had the time. Maybe get a pull right into his/her eye. The sky is the limit here. The pony referring to the Steel Ranger as Hazel. "Hazel, huh? Not exactly a name where you really strike fear into victims." she commented.

@

Then came... this unicorn. A slight glance from him I could tell she didn't like something about him. A small instance of distaste in her mouth, but was poke by the pony she uttered to. Right when she reply to Hazmat, this unicorn came in. Not exactly anything speculate, something like he's just 'average', least physically. Then...

came the remark. Part of her (the irrational one) wanted to get that duct tape handle on that rifle of hers and Rifle Whip somepony some respect, but that probably would lead to guns and any type of negotiation would just end in failure. (if not death). Instead, she did what she's been doing... being a sarcastic one. "OH! You must be one of those 'smart' unicorn who can tell me that I, a young magicless earth pony know how to weld on a anti-material rifle barrel with no welder or possible burn to a fire to a sniper rifle? Is it frienship? Please tell me it's friendship!" her two front hooves were wiggle around, an failed attempt at "Jazz Hands." Sarcasm from him or not, she doesn't like nopony to talk about her "mods." Regardless of how atheistic displeasing they may be, they do the job done.

She snorts at him, answering his question. "Telling him to avoid traveling North until he moves past one of the streets. Somepony has given them the almighty power of mines and rifles to not let nopony in."

"Alright... If there is anyway to repay you, I will be happy to help" Hazmat said; it was actually just an empty gesture, then he noticed Steady walk up. After hearing the sarcastic remark he was so close to pulling out his revolver and putting a bullet in Steady's head. "Well I'm going to get going before I have to listen to Steady's voice any longer." Hazmat said before he started to walk away.

The sarcastic retort! My goodness, it had been too long since somepony, other that Anaphora, had responded to me like that. I did the only thing that came to mind, I hugged this new pony with the force of an averagely built stallion. I then backed off, composed my self and said, "Sounds sounds dangerous, and exciting. Like a hunt on a booby trapped island." I pondered for a second. "Anyways, you shouldn't need a welder unless something is broken. Most mods were made for all races alike, so they should be relatively easy to put on with just hooves." I took Silence off my back, quickly undid the cloth on the mare's rifle and laid it on the ground, and dismantled my gun with just my hooves. I also said bye to Hazmat while I was at it. "See?" I said, finished, "If you'd like, I can show you a few tips and tricks and help you repair your gun with your hooves. I should have a few spare part that will work."

@,

After quite some distance away from the shack – out of range from the shack and the recently arrived sniper mare – the bloody tracks stopped dead out of nowhere, with an abandoned cart right in front of Amber. There was no sign of Anaphora...almost like she disappeared.

"You lookin for her?" a stallion appeared out of the dark from the abandoned cart, armed with combat armor and a hunting rifle. He had scars on his right cheek and a dirtied coat. Typical wear of the wasteland. The stallion revealed a bag of caps, thrusting it forward at Amber. "You take the money...we deal with her. Your work here is done. She's our target now."

"If we meet again, maybe." a wave her hoof as the mysterious stallion with his anomalous robot go off. The mare hoped she would listen to her words. Even with her own Agility (10) and Intelligence (8) wasn't match for quick action. It had to be planned and look over. Could she try? Maybe, but that wasn't something she was planning to do. Speaking of plans...

@,

Once again was a little speechless by the unicorn whose name was Steady. Next thing she knew, she was embraced by some random unicorn she just meant a few minutes ago. Her only response was just, "Uhhhhhhh...." as he pulls off and returns to his regularly special program about going back to the north. Wasn't really in any of her plans, as he then pulls off the cloak as she picks it up and places it in her saddlebags as he shows how "easy" it was to dissemble a rifle.

Her response was this, as she pulled off the duct-tape handle on her rifle as she shows him a few things, "Not all mods are alike... Steady." her hooves go down to the lower part where the clip as she showed her little invention. Two taped clipped, they weren't large enough to disturb the bipod. "and for that matter... when I said I needed a welder." she sighed, not really wanting to really detaped the barrel, but.... her hoof picked on it as she slowly tears it apart. The sound of it tearing apart was a bit of a unplesant sound to her, knowing that it would take some time to retape it. She pressed the rifle and the barrel together as they.... didn't attach. They seem to be the exact size, but... there wasn't any way to fit it without breaking something or welding it "I need something to weld the barrel together so that they can connect. This isn't for the same rifle. This is for a anti-material rifle. The same barrel that takes down basically anything with a .50 cal bullet. I adjusted for length and size" she rubbed along the barrel, feeling the metal along her hooves. "and bam. You got still got a rifle that can shoot up to 2550 yards." she was feeling more confident. This was a bit of her craft, having to get scrap parts after the rifle gets worn out and replace it with something that might change the weapon actual design.

However... she did glance at the handle of her rifle, seeing how the duct tape wouldn't be too perfect for it, "Though, if you got something to fix up the handle, that'd be good." She had to remember to back and retape the barrel. Might take a little while to get it right to where the sniper wanted it.

Kayle trotted about in the shack as Noble lay there unconscious, she didn't want to be here any longer than she needed to be, all that really was holding her from leaving was Noble. Peering out of an opening in the shack she saw a small group of iron clad fools saluting Hazel. She began feeling a chill inside the shack and an increase in Humidity, it was going to rain soon she thought as she pieced the clues together. Borrowing some cloth from Noble's gear she exited the shack with cloth concealing most of her head and enclave logos.

Standing in front of the shack she examined the new pony, a green...sniper mare, judging by the weapon she had. She scoffed to herself thinking about the pony sniping in these weapon conditions, nearly impossible with the current conditions, even if she was skilled it would still be quite a challenge. With that thought she went to the campfire, now reduced to a small dying flame and sat down close by it trying to keep to herself as she didn't want to be assaulted by another enclave hating lunatic.

I ran to my bags and snatched them up. Having another gun nut, especially one who liked rifles (and sarcasm), was too much. I quickly dumped the contents of my bags and arranged them. I grabbed the mare's riffle and quickly detached it, duct tape and all. I grabbed the barrel and the trigger and bolt assemblies and paired them with a spare stock and handle. Some spare parts from my stash and her gun and I had everything i needed. I took out a screwdriver and some pliers and began working on the gun. After a minute, the creation was completed. I popped a few blanks into a clip and fired, each one firing smoothly and quickly. I then proceeded to reattach all the mods to the gun.

"What we have here, is a masterpiece. I hope you don't mind killing people, cause this thing will do so anyways. The barrel and stock fit nicely together, so no more duct tape. Accurate up to a fine 2600 yards (if it went well and by estimation of course) and primed with .50 caliber death-bringers, the only thing that had to be sacrificed, was some slight rate of fire for the accuracy and lightweight feel of it. This baby is also made of more durable materials. I tried to make it feel like your old gun as much as possible though. It's all about the feel." I handed it to her, "Try it."

-------------------------

"Where is she?" I said angrily. I pulled out my revolver and held it to the stallion's head. "Tell me where she is, NOW!" I said over the grip. I was utterly furious at this point. All that time following her trail, and this feathering pony wanted to GET IN MY WAY!?! "I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL I HAVE FOUND HER! SO HELP ME LUNA IF SHE IS HARMED OR DEAD I WILL MAKE SURE NOPONY RECOGNIZES YOU!" I smacked the stallion with the revolver and held him to the ground. "Good boy! Lay!"

Hazmat began to keep walking, something in the back of his head, wanted to try and clear the mines and take out the pony or ponies who was placing them. He looked at his revolver, once he was far enough from the shack enough that they couldn't hear him he looked at his hooves "My own life? the lives of many other ponies in the future? Now? Future? My life? Other's Lives?" Hazmat looked at ED-E. "I'm gonna do it..." He said. ED-E replied with a beeping noise. "Just shut it, you were fine when we ambushed those slavers... So come on, your my spotter" Hazmat then began to go north. He pulled out his hunting rifle and loaded .308 rounds into it and adjusted the scope. He began to quietly sing to himself "...nopony dared to ask his business; nopony dared to make a slip, the stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip. A big iron on his hip..."

"So uh maple how did you get here so fast the base is a decent walk away?" Maple responded by pointing to the heavy armored metal box known as an armored personnel carrier that drove down from the same area I came from. "So how many metal bawkses did you bring to this indigenous region anyway?" Maple once again pointed at the rare vehicle in front of me, I could tell she was rolling her eyes in that helmet of hers." So does any pony need a lift cause we now got transportation?" In all honesty I bet they would rather walk, a cramped area filled with rangers would be rather uncomfortable for a stranger.

@@Defender of Tomorrow,

@,

The shack never was much of a place to hide from sniping position and the pony who came out had to be more inconspicuous then before. Then again, she didn't give off the hostility to have any of them in a sniping position. Sure, she was nervous in certain bits when conversation wasn't about guns. The scoff did want to chew the mare out. Who was in comforting herself in the small warmth of the dying flame.  Instead, she ignore her turned back to the unicorn, Steady. Who had decided to be overzealous of himself and change the barrel and handle. Gloating on how it was a better rifle by adding returning it to the original design of the rifle. The parts were far better than the one's she had, but still. She specifically asked for the handle only.

Her hooves took her rifle and she felt a bit of a weight issue, though it was insignificant, the weight felt less on the front. It wouldn't effect bipod holds, but to quick snipe, it would have to be calibrated on the scope. The longer the shot, the more reconfiguration there would have to be. Still, she said to him "There's some balancing issues, the duct tape added weight to the rifle so I have to change for distance and scope calibration. I'd have to use this on somepony or something to get a good feel to it." she explain to him. Taking all of the old spare parts she has on the floor and placing them back in the saddle. Maybe to change it back or get spare caps for them. The mare had lost track of what she was asking, a little more caught up in the complaints of her gun and even snorting when he saw Hazel ask for transportation. Steam doubt Hazel was talking particularly to her, but still. She didn't trust him, "Either way... thanks. I'm Steam." she said.

The street came into view, Hazmat found a good place that over looked it and went prone. He used his saddle bag to hold the rifle in place because he didn't have a bi-pod. Hazmat's sniping location replaced stealth with cover, so he could easily be seen but it would be extremely hard to hit him. He looked through the scope, he could see some mines but he was sure there were more. He looked around for any shooters "Wind.... North, 4 miles an hour.... " Hazmat whispered as he put his hoof slightly in the air. He lowered it and remembered that ED-E's Sensors were not at full power, Hazmat would have probably have found whoever place the mines by now if he did. Hazmat then heard ED-E make a slight beeping noise which signaled Hazmat something came in range of his sensors and Hazmat looked around, He saw something out of the corner of his eye and fired one shot at it. It turned out to be a Gecko. Hazmat continued to look around, if he had to wait any longer he would begin shooting the mines.

"I had a name... forgot it many, centuries ago. It faded away like many things, but me. I'm still here, still here trying to find something. What is that something? I don't know, I forgot." -The Nameless Knight

The rest of the rangers started to load up into the vehicle me included. The vehicle started up again, the lights starting up and letting out the loud engine noise expected of something so old." Last chance to get on were going north, if you don't come on now we might come back if ya want!" I said before tossing a radio out of the vehicle. The large auto cannon on the roof of the vehicle was soon commanded and ready to wipe out any threats.
