I think my overall favorite is Rarity's. It's very elegant in it's simplicity actually. I like the cut of the bottom hem, the shoulders, the faux-diamond embellishments. Yeah .. definitely that one.

Pinkie's is my second favorite, and it looks inspired by her gala dress. So much so that I kinda want to see little candy corns and lollipops embroidered on. The simple layering and pleated trim also works well for a Pinkie design ..

AJ's has the best combination of colors and patterns, and Rainbow's is very nice. The neckline says "Rainbow Dash" and I do like the colored pleats sewn in, but I think I'd have added more to the front, and then boxed them in more so they're just showing a bit of color, instead of popping out like that

Twilight's is simply stated .. it makes sense for her, and Fluttershy's is my least favorite. Idk .. it's just a bit meh to me.

I get what you mean about the Rainbow Dash apron. Perhaps redesign the pleats to be more like a Spartan Style skirt, that way the colors underneath peak through more so subtly . As for fluttershy I am not crazy about the yellow i chose and i think perhaps a new choice of yellow may make the apron pop a bit more, i like the butterfly bib on it and the soft curves along the bottom but i agree its kind of meh. my original design for rarity had purple and white lace on a different pattern style, but i scrapped that idea to make it look more like a ver simple and elegantly stated gown which is how i came up with the present design. I will be doing the gala dresses at some point as well but i am running through a couple different plush patterns :) I just finished a test run on Rarity, I like how it came out but there is defiantly a lot of different things i would change, like making her hair two tone, reshaping her head and a different combination of thread on her eyes.  http://morisall.deviantart.com/art/Rarity-plush-441060882

They are all magnificent! It's really cool you can make these. Favorite wise mine has to be AJ's because how it's designed. I would like to point out for Rainbow's I suggest a more warrior-ish style skirt like in the Hearth's Warming Eves episode but other than that it seems fine.

A spartan type skirt? Well .. heh, maybe, as an inspiration. I'm pretty sure you don't mean having actual strips of fabric? Wouldn't box pleats work well on their own?

I'm glad you didn't go with lace on the Rarity one. I rarely like the look of lace anyway ..

So, about the plush .. not bad, not bad .. I like the ears .. I like the horn. The shape of the pattern is very good. Stuffing looks a bit rushed and the head is understuffed, as are the narrow tops of the legs. I assume the mane pieces were trial runs to experiment with the wiring on the outside edges. You'll want to widen the base of the two parts to get them to join between the ears. The seam allowance around the muzzle looks like it should have been clipped more to avoid the puckering, and the fill on the embroidery is typical for a more affordably priced embroidery machine, but it's largely unavoidable from what I've seen. And I still think it beats all the other ways of adding eyes and marks that people have come up with (best not mentioned here lest I have an aneurysm).

I hope my critiquing is actually welcome. I'm an intractable perfectionist about .. everything.

My first plush was kind of a joke anyway. They are much better now.

constructive criticism is also always welcome! I agree that she need a lot of work! I'm going to make a Pinkie Pie today and Im a going to be tweaking the pattern. Ill update on my progress, I have an order for my Rainbow dash apron for a cosplay model so ill be tweaking that apron as well, yes a box pleat is what i meant exactly!

Hi there, @SewRetroPrincess. :) I have moved your topic from Pony Merchandise to Other Fan Works. Pony Merchandise is for discussion of pony merchandise that you did not create yourself, while Other Fan Works is the place for MLP-related fan works that are not pictorial art, literature, or music.

You can read more information about this in the Octavia's Hall guide, as well as the MLP Forums Resource Map.

Those aprons are beautiful :D you did an excellent job with them. It's always nice to see something unique like this. I don't think I've ever seen MLP aprons before, but those are awesome.

It would be really cool if you made a Luna one.
