The title read The Inner Workings of the Mine. She scoffed at the title and placed it back on the shelfn

Shadow heart smiled "oh yes the barracks for the guard are down a floor not mix to see there the only guards that have there own room are the personal guards of Luna and lunar midnight doesn't have a personal guard if you follow me I'll show you the kitchen and dinning hall"

'Lunar Midnight doesn't have a personal guard ... if only he knew.' Indigo thought to herself. She just rqisedban eyebrow and followed White Fang to wherever it is they were going. "Who was that pony you talked to? He looked kind of weird." Indigo Night questioned him.

"Im apple squeezing cider" He says wipeing the sweat from his forehead. "Me and lightning flair are very close he told me about this place, so iah went searchin'," He says chuckling, He smiles. "Whats yours?" He asked as he looks at indigo night.

Luna was foing paperwork in her office when she heard a knock on the door. "Come in," she cooly said.

 

Lunar walked in, sighing. "I need to talk to you, ma'am..."

 

Midnight walked out of the castle, yawning.

 

Aiko was training in the guards' training grounds. She wiped sweat off her forehead, yawning. "Man I'm whooped..."

Steel was as always by Luna's side he seemed to be acting more like any other guard would even when they where alone

Grell was in his room doing his ritual

Shadow heart smiled "that was shadow heart he's the eyes and ears of the castle no one knows what his true form is be raise he stays in his shadow form" he said

Luna looked at Steel. "Can I ask you something?" She set down her papers. She had a very serious look on her face.

 

Midnight wondered what Grell was doing, smiling to herself a little. -I still can't believe he feels the same way... This feels like a dream...- she thought, blushing a little.

Steel nodded "of course" steel said "what is it" his face was stony and serious

Grell finished his ritual and walked out if his room and headed for Luna's office he stepped in "I'm sorry I'm late Luna" grell aid as he took up his position at Luna's side he stood there

Luna blinked, looking at Grell. "Actually, I meant to tell you something. Midnight's been feeling quite down lately. Her nightmares are getting worse, she won't sleep, and will barely eat. Could you possibly watch over her for me? I know you two have some kind of feelings for each other. Just make sure she stays happy, okay?" Her face went from serious to kind and worried.

 

Midnight smiled. "I'm going to see if he's done yet." She walked back into the castle.

Grell nodded "yes ma'am" grell said as he saluted and walked back out if the room "okay so she will be distracting but ill manage my Job is to keep her happy and watch over her so the only thin new is keeping somepony happy how will I do that" grell thougy aloud

Luna sighed, looking at Steel. "Can I ask you something?" She looked really tired, and a little depressed.

 

Midnight blinked, seeing him down the hall. She smiled, running up to him. "Hiya Grell!" she said, pure joy going across her face. She smiled an adorable smile.

Grell smiled back "I have good news I've been assigned to your protection detail meaning I'm your new personal guard" grell said

Steel noodled "of course my princess what is it you want to know" steel said staying formal he was sure Luna was still mad at him for hiding his wound and making her go to bed

Lightning flair watches aiko blushing thinking how pretty she was when she fights as he chuckles when she says shes whooped

 

Apple cider continued to plant more apples smileing and being happy, he hasnt been this happy shoot since he was a tiny little filly.

"Shadow Heart? That's a cool name. I need some fresh air so I'm going back outside. Maybe you can show me what else there is another time?" Indigo Night left Wnite Fang's to look around the castle some more and go outside. Once she made it outside, she headed back to that pony who was planting the orchard. "Sorry about running out on you, I was just touring the castle. What did you say your name was?" Indigo Night asked him.

"Apple squeezeing cider" He says wipeing his forehead off with his hoof as he chuckles he looks back at her, he was a tall and a very muscular stallion, And he had bright emerald green eyes. "Whats yours?" He chuckles, as he walks over, "I need to take a break anyways," He explains as he was working all night.

"Uuh, sorry. My name is Indigo Night." Indigo said as she looked at him. He was muscular, he was tall, and he had eyes the colour of emeralds. "You need a break? Haven't you just started though?" Indigo Night was confused. She thinks he's only just started working.

Shadow heart sighed as she left "oh well back to isolation I guess" shade heart said before semilunar falling into the shadows he reappeared in a solid brick room with no windows or doors only magic air holes for him to breath it was his home he sighed and laid down becoming omnipresent again so he could do his job and be the eyes and ears of the castle

"Nah iah started wayyy early in the evenin'" He says chuckling as he pants, he was obviously tired. He was really good and a fast worker too. He had a strong southern accent. He then trots on over to her as he smiles real big. "So What are ya doin ere?" he asked. )D)

"Me?" Indigo asked. She looked around and saw that it was only them two talking. "Oh right. I needed some fresh air so I decided to come around the back. Little did I know I would fine somepony planting an orchard of all things. By the way, what kind of orchard ARE you planting? Going by your cutie mark, I would say zap apple trees? But those only bloom in a particular season. Why would you plant an orchard that only blooms in a particular season?" Indigo Night rapidly fired questions and paused only to take a breather.

He chuckles, "These are special kind of zap apples that only grow at night time, thats their special season is lunas night, i studied so many apples and fell in love with these apple by darn it who knew that was my destiny." He awnsered fireing awnsers back at her.

Indigo Night was clearly impressed. "I didn't think there were zap apples that grow only in Luna's night. Hmm. Okay then." indigo said. She walked around the orchard and tried not to step on any saplings. "To be perfectly honest, I've never had zap apple jam before. Do you know how to make it?" Indigo asked him, blushing.

"the best you ever put it in your mouth sweeter then apple sauce with lots of suga' in it" He says smileing, "Ill make ya batch if ya want me to" He says smileing and chuckling as he walks over, "Wanna help me farm for a bit its hard work and all but itll be really fun"

Indigo Night smirked. "Hard work? Have you ever worked in a mine before? Anyway, I'd love to help. Sure it's a bit different from mining but I'll give it a shot." Indigo told him with a smile.She walked around him. Mining was definitely different from farming but you need the same sort of muscles.

He chuckles as he gives her a plow and rope, "Alright if you think minings the same as farming try this." The plow itself was extremely heavy as he smiles, he knew she could work it but it be very different, He ties the rope a little tighter so it would fit her as he looks at her.

'Don't get cocky Indigo.' Indigo thought to herself. She breathed in and looked over to Apple. "In what direction am I meant to plow?" Indigo Night asked him. She knows it's just a simple matter of pulling but it depended on how heavy the plow was too and judging by the size, it seemed HEAVY.
