What's your favorite fictional alien and mutant species in video games?

Alien:

Mine are the Krogan from Mass Effect, they are the most interesting one imo because of the whole Genophage thing and their culture, and Wrex.

Second for me would be the Salarians (Mass Effect) though, they are also interesting because of their short lifespan and their intelligence, and Mordin.

Mutant:

The super mutants from Fallout are pretty cool, but I like the ghoul more for some reason.

I was gonna say Namekians, but then I saw the "in video games" part

I never really thought of aliens, but I guess my vote goes to the Covenant and every alien species from the F-Zero series, especially whoever the hell Pico is

And I think Duo from Megaman counts too

I guess Nechromorphs from Dead Space could count, even though they are literally just space zombies.

Does the First Civillization (from Assassin's Creed) count, since they technically aren't humans?

I've always been a fan of the Asari from the Mass Effect Series. Liara was always my romance option in the ME games, no matter what. I always though that the Asari looked cool. Their biotic powers are pretty neat too.

I'd have to say the Super Mutants from the Fallout series are some of my favorites too.

I cannot believe it........no one has mentioned these two:

The Arbiter: The_Arbiter_by_swiss_army_ayden.jpg

The Didact: didact_by_spideyman1962-d6lciif.jpg

Both of these characters have such impressive back stories, as well as the character themselves, in terms of personality, purpose, and design, :D

My favorite fictional alien speices: Andalites from the Animorphs book series that ran from 1996-2001. It had a few video games for PC back in the day. I personally went through most of the books from 8th grade through High School a few years after the final book was published. Reading this book series through high school made centaurs popular to me.

This gentle centaur-like species are similar yet different to the mythical centaur from fantasy and myth.

  • 7-finger hands. Mostly useless compared to our 5-fingered hands. But it made up for by their other features.
  • Their noses are just 3 vertical silts. I believe it's for breathing
  • No mouth; they communicate with telepathy called thought-speak <like this> and get their nutrients from grass through their hooves. Their home world has several colors and flavors of grass.
  • In addition to their main eyes, they have stalk-eyes on their heads that can turn in full 360 degrees. You can't sneak up on these guys.
  • A scorpion-like tail that moves very fast; used for cutting, can also be turned at last second to knock target out unharmed for a while.  Called a Shorm in their language. It not only means "tail", but it also means "friend", someone you can trust so deeply that they can put their shorm up against your throat and you wouldn't even worry.

They invented technology that allowed them to morph into other animals. The main danger: Stay in morph for more than 2 Earth hours and you're stuck in that form forever: called a Nothlit

Warning: If an Andalite morphs human, DON'T get between one and our human food. The sense of taste that we humans take for granted feels like heaven to them in our form; so much that the urge is mostly irresistible!
