Of course he's talking about us Evie!

 Oh okey :3

*Red Talon trotted in to the thread with a bittersweet expression on his face*

"DJ!" he shouted, hugging the Earth Pony on sight. "I missed you so much!"

At this moment, it was as if Red completely forgot about what was troubling him.

"How have you been, my friend?"

However, the expression soon returned to his face, and he paced around.

"Guys..." he said, "Well... uh, J.P. hasn't been in too good of condition, and I'm telling you, that damn probation he got placed on, that was the last thing he needed. Well... he did tell me he is working to resolve it, but for now... I'm not sure how it will turn out."

Evening frowns and walks up to JP, then puts a hoof on his shoulder.

"Everything will turn out okay. I'll get Budding, see what she can do."

"I'm great thanks bro!" DJ replied happily. "I'm so glad to see you guys all again!" Hearing Red's worrying news, DJ nodded solemnly. "Yes, James told me about that. It sounds like it's been quite a problem!" He smiled reassuringly though. "Don't worry, James is trying his best to se if he can help out too!"

Red Talon burst back into the room, beaming with delight.

"Guys!!!" he shouted, "J.P. got his moderator probation lifted, and he can go back to roleplaying like normal!"

"Yay! Red's back! Weee!!!" *Sterling excitedly jumps around the house*

"Yes Sterling Red's back! Ok! I'm happy too, but we have to realize that you're in MY house, and that you shouldn't be destroying things! xD"

And now I am back too! Returned from me first expedition to the US... And possibly last.

Kiddin'~ (Kinda)
But seriously, New York was a lot of stress with a bunch of sweet, cheap food for me and me friends... A good experience, it was, and now me feet is experiencing much needed fresh air~

It is now like 13:30 as I type this, but my biological clock is more like 7:30 (I'm 6 hours off because time-travelling by plane)... I'm surprisingly awake, though I shall play guitar to try and keep meself awake, and maybe wake up me room-mate as a bonus~

"As everypony gets all talky, we return, and now we fall asleep... Unless we keep a rhythm going."

So I took this personality-test... And apparently, I'm most like Fluttershy~
2015- edit - not too much has changed, but now I'm a wee bit more like Twilight~

"OHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOMIGOSHOMIGOSH!!!" cried DJ. "Awesome! We're all together again for definite!" :D

I can't wait til we all get started! :) And I'm delighted to hear your probation's lifted! I have plenty in store for us, and it's killing me waiting to start! I might do some sort of fun activity on here while we wait... Maybe a quiz or something? With the prize being special sneak peaks from the RP (providing the winners want to know that is! ;) ). So yeah, anypony else like that idea?

I know what you mean from my own times there. New York is a lot of fun, but man does it wear you out quickly! I don't know how all the people that live there do it. They must rely on one another quite a bit.

In fact . . . . .

It was fun, and a good experience to have... I now understand why people say Norwegians are typically more laid-back - New York kinda moved to fast for almost all of us~

We walked almost 20K steps daily, causing footsie-owies, and I would say that out of the 8-9 days we spent there and travelling, I had 2 days where I had a 'proper' meal... Loads of simple, cheap, not-so-healthy foods for me~

Also, I had a muffin for breakfast rather than dessert for once~

We pretty much just were tourists a lot of the time, having a peek at stuff like the Statue of Liberty (Or "Frihetsgudinnen" as we call it in Norwegian) and the Empire State Building... Is it weird that I thought everything would be bigger? Everyone seemed to think stuff was huge, and ti was, but I was expecting it to be a little taller/larger... ESPECIALLY the Statue of Liberty - that one was TINY compared to everyone's expectations.

We also visited Gameloft, though that studio/office had nothing to do with the MLP-game for smartphones~

Two of my friends kinda got robbed for 90 dollars each, though nobody got hurt or lost their wallets, so it was not that bad in the end~

Another issue we had to deal with was their coins - I learned how much a dime was and stuff, and found out a lot of it was pretty much worthless in Norway, even if I converted it back to our own crowns... Last year, we dropped our smallest coin, the "50-øring", or you could call it 50 Norwegian cents, which is just a little less than a dime. So I wasted all my coins before I left~

We also watched the Lion King musical, which my girlfriend was REALLY happy about, and it was really good~

So overall we had mixed feelings, but also a good experience to bring along (I'll never think of Oslo as "too crowded" again).

It sounds like you had an interesting adventure overall! :D I always thought the buildings and the Statue of Liberty would be massive (about the same size as the Eiffel Tower), but I guess I can't really get a good idea of size by guessing! :P

And sorry to hear your friends were robbed :( That's one f the things that steers me away from big cities like NY. I like to keep my money in my wallet! xD It sounds like it was good fun though, and certainly something I'd like to do someday! :)

Keep in mind, both the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building were constructed years ago. Back then, they were monuments of man-made structures. Today though, they are dwarfed by modern skyscrapers. So it makes sense they would be smaller than expectations.

Yeah, beleive it or not, most New Yorkers don't even OWN cars because they walk everywhere. You couldn't keep up because you were basically competing with an entire population of speed-walkers. XD

I know how you feel, my first wallet got stolen my first time in New York as well.

Place has a serious pick pocket problem.

~ ~ ~ ~

There are other places here in the U.S. particularly in states like Missouri, Alaska, or even Pennsylvania that are much more relaxed. They are often described as "sleepy little towns" for their laid back pace. I grew up in such a place called Springfield.

As per other countries, things just get less hectic the more rural the area.

It sounds like you had an interesting adventure overall! :D I always thought the buildings and the Statue of Liberty would be massive (about the same size as the Eiffel Tower), but I guess I can't really get a good idea of size by guessing! :P

Well Lady Liberty gets more of her height from the dias she stands on. Her symbolic power is more important than her size. Immigrants coming over from Europe would gather on the deck and that's the first thing they would see. She welcomed them to a new life with her torch held high and the words she bore on the tome in her arm.

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddles masses/ yearning to breathe free."

Sorry, the old patriot in me is still kicking around in my heart. XD
