The demon looked over at Sayaa with his threatening eyes before slowly creeping towards her. It started to growl, and if that wasn't enough, acid was coming out of it's mouth which was melting through the stone below him. "I.. I don't think it understand English." She said quietly as she slowly stepped backwards.

Sayaa waves her hand dismissively, "He'll understand it fine. Of course, English will come in time. Conjuration is difficult to explain." She seemingly pulls a scroll out of thin air (Small summoning basics). Unrolling it, she bites her thumb and 'signs' it. The language seems to shift, and the general impression is printed on the minds of the less intellectual.

Lily looks at the demon, specifically its acidic saliva. Being incredibly well-versed in chemistry, and having worked more than once with acid in her previous occupation, she runs a quick mental calculation of its acidity. That's limestone, so the acid is at least 7 molar hydrochloric... Carry the three... Yes, that's an excellent plan B... she thinks to herself before digging though her bag. After a minute or so of searching she pulls out a flask of liquid labelled "NaOH, 32M"

The beast slowly approached Sayaa and started sniffing the air around her. He noticed that she wasn't as tall or threatening as the others. It started circling around her and examined the scroll that she seemed to be showing him. The demon had an idea on what it was about but he wasn't sure about accepting her offer. The fact that he was summoned was to protect the key, and he was told to kill anyone who was in the cave. However, it had a mind of its own and decided to accept her offer. The magician who placed the rune did not bound its soul or existance to the room since he did not expect it to run off but killed.

She smiles invitingly and gives him the scroll. After doing this, she steps back and clasps her hands behind her back, waiting for his next move. It wasn't uncommon for monsters to ask for a test of strength before commitment. Depending on their preferences, that test could be rather easy or significanty challenging.

Misha watched the pint sized girl talk to demon with a look of confusion at her audacious display. A few parts of his face twitched every few seconds as he watched the scene play out completely speechless. He was ready to blast the thing with everything he has but he figured he might as well wait before doing so now.

The thought of approaching a beast like him with such an offer instead of attacking him was enough for him as he pawed on the scroll before signing it with his claws. He walked over to Sayaa and laid down beside her hoping that she would pet him in the head.

The goal of sitting on the ground next to the cave wall was simply to take a small brake, but Zeke's body had other ideas. Instead of simply resting, Zeke soon found himself completely asleep, passed out. Zeke wasn't aware that he had used up that much energy, but the new early warning detection ability he just recently developed in these caves to make sure he didn't get blown to smithereens, absorbed way too much energy. Zeke's head cast downward as he slipped off to dreamland, completely missing the demon summoning and pact making. 

During the brief stint of sleep he slipped into a dream. Zeke was floating in a bright yellow abyss, there was nothing other than bright yellow all around him. He continued to float around in the abyss, waiting for something to happen.

She laughed and scratched behind the ears of a head half as big as her body. "Alrighty then." The scroll disappeared into her doll as she moved down the side of his head and scratched under his chin. "I have to send you to my Ethereal Plain now, but don't worry. Akira will feed you and you'll be warm and safe. Or cold and safe. Your preference. I'll be there later to mold a room for you." She kisses his forehead as he disappears without a sound.

Misha walked past the small statured girl and into the room with the key. He inspected it for a few seconds before he swiped it out of the air. He threw it upwards a few times in a juggle like fashion before he twirled it around in his hand as he walked back over to the group. He eyed the key as he played with it to see if anything happened. He kept his magic at the ready and waited to see what they would do next.

A few seconds after the key was taken, the sound of a heart beating echoed around the cave walls that came from behind the rocky surface. Everything stayed quiet for a few seconds before the guardian of the key busted up from underneath the platform where the key lied, leaving a hole behind it as it pulled itself up with his right arm. He was heavily armed, with two magically enchanted longswords on his back and thick armor that covered every inch of his body. He withdrew his two blades from his back and leaped into the air directly towards the one with the key.

Misha's playful attitude quickly subsided as he watched something burst from the floor. "You gotta be kidding..." He mumbled before he watched it leap right towards him. Figuring out what the giant armored guardian was after, he quickly tossed the key over to Hikari as if they were playing hot potato and dived in the opposite directing and out of the way before it could practically squish him. He glanced over towards Zeke, hoping that the sleeping man would wake up. 

 

He waited before attacking, not sure what entirely to do at this point.

The giant landed on the floor with immense strength, shattering the ground and leaving a circular mark behind. Hikari caught the key with her fast reflexes and tossed it towards Zeke, which appears to be sleeping as it hit him in the stomach. "Ouch." She said as she turned her attention back towards the guardian. Hikari aimed her right hand towards the armored opponent and started to form a powerful tornado around it. "Someone, do something!" She shouted as the guardian tries to escape her trap.

Zeke was floating through a yellow ethereal plane for what seemed like days before he came upon a massive pure white bird. The bird in question was about 10 feet tall, curled up in a ball sound asleep. Zeke kept floating until he got into reaching distance of the massive avian. Curious, Zeke touch the bird. The instant he touched it, Zeke's birthmark activated, both in his dream and in real life as he slept. The bird woke up, as it slowly opened it's eyelids.

"Ah, yes. Zeke, I have been waiting for you." The voice didn't sound like it was coming from the bird, in fact, it felt like it was coming from all around him at once. A cacophony of sound, almost like the swells of waves from the ocean, colliding with a rocky shore. But for what ever reason, Zeke knew the voice was coming from the bird. 

"Who are you." Zeke asked the massive bird.

"You know who I am, Zeke. You would not be here right now if you didn't. I need not explain my being to you." The bird replied

Zeke thought about it, and he felt deep inside of him that he knew exactly who this was.

"You're.Limit Evolution. My birthmark." Zeke said

"Aye, the sky is also blue and humans breath oxygen. Are we playing a game where we state obvious facts?" The bird replied, as he yawned and stretched out his wings, the span of which were a massive 40 feet.

"No... I was just making sure I had my facts straight" Zeke said as he floated backwards a bit to take all of the massive bird in his sight.

"Everyone has been calling you Limit Evolution, but I take it that that isn't your actual name." Zeke said

"You are correct, Zeke. My name was lost long ago. As soon as I was bound to your soul, my name became Zeke Redsteele. My name is-" The bird stopped mid sentence and switched the subject quickly.

"We will have to have this meeting some other time, we are about to be awoken from our rather pleasant slumber. Also, I am authorizing level 3 limit evolution. Try not to die." The bird said.

Zeke was about to beseech the bird for it's name, but before he could interject he was instantly woken up by a large metal key that hit him in the forehead and landed in his hands. His birthmark was glowing as intensely as it did in the fight with the hunters. So this is what he called level 3, huh? Zeke thought as he tried to shake the grogginess from his head. Zeke stood up and looked around the room at all of his comrades who were all either looking at him or in the opposite direction of him. Zeke followed their gaze to some sort of golem, or giant. The beast was at least twice his size, and was greatly armored and armed. 

Zeke looked down at the key in his hand, and back to the giant, and back down to the key and back to the giant. 

"I uh... don't suppose he just wants to talk, does he?" Zeke asked rhetorically.

"Zeke, now would be a good time for a light show," Sayaa says. She uses what's left of her energy to create a radiant, small mini sun illusion over the golem's head. She knew that as soon as she let the spell go, she'd pass out. If anything, the spell was keeping her on her feet.

The armored menace shattered Hikari's tornado with a swing of his sword. It wasn't just an ordinary sword, it had a slight aura around it when it broke her tornado. "How did it-" The golem stomped on the floor and formed a crack in the floor straight towards the others but was distorted by the light shining above its head. The giant looked around and spotted the magician casting the spell and tossed one of his swords in a circular fashion. The sword covered a large area as it headed straight towards Sayaa.

Zeke outstretched his right hand and the tendrils of light were eagerly absorbed into his birthmark symbol. Zeke saw the guardian hurl a magic sword at Sayaa, He quickly compounded the light Sayaa gave him into a compressed semi-tangible lance of bright plasma, which formed in his right hand. Zeke didn't need time to take aim, his reflexes did it all for him. He tossed the light lance with his super strength sending the lance flying with the force and speed of 700 pounds behind it. The lance hit the sword dead on, causing it's trajectory to change, vastly. It sent the sword flying into the wall 20 feet to the side of Sayaa. 

"Are you alright?" Zeke asked, not even glancing at Sayaa, but keeping his focus on the Guardian.

Sayaa moaned and collapsed on the ground. She didn't know anything about the sword; she could barely hear Zeke. She felt cold and empty, and tired. She curled up into a tight ball and, with a sigh, lost consciousness. Her subconscience dreamed about unicorns and deamons and giants and keys.

The guardian gripped his sword with two hands and started sprinting towards Zeke. He ran past the others and jumped up towards Zeke as he swung his sword sideways. The sword glowed again, this time in a different-colored aura. It is a spell that triples the strength of the sword which lasts within a few seconds before it wears out.

Misha stood at the opposite side of the guardian where Zeke was. "If he passed me the key we could probably play a bit of Keep Away with this thing." He thought with a chuckle. He aimed both of his hands towards the monster and fired away, to see if anything would have any effect. He used his right hand to quickly draw out a spell and then fired a much larger blast to finish his combo.

The walking set of armor was knocked out of the air by Misha's blast as he landed on his side. He got back up and roared like a dragon as he aimed his longsword towards Misha and the others and casted a massive wave of fire. Hikari quickly put a sphere-shaped ball made out of air that swirled around her to protect herself from the blast.

Misha reacted quickly, drawing a rune that created a sizable barrier to protect him from the incoming flames barely in time. He could feel the heat assault him as the fire lashed at his barrier. Once the danger dissipated the spell collapsed in on itself and disappeared, leaving Misha out in the open. Instead of preparing any attacks, he get ready to dodge and let the others do the work for a bit.

Hikari made sure the fire did not penetrate her barricade by focusing her power to the best of her ability. When the fire died off, she aimed her hand at the beast with her palm facing down. She raised her hand and slammed it downwards like how a cat sketches, sending a huge gust of wind with five flesh-tearing lines at him. It used his hand to try to block it but it was of no use. The force of the wind sent him flying towards the cave walls. Her attack left three large scars on his armor which exposed the inside of it. The inside way empty, and the magic contained within it started leaking out with a red tint to it.

Zeke, still clutching the key in his left hand, used the remaining energy he had from the light he absorbed from Sayaa's spell to make another light lance in his right hand. This time he wielded it in his hand like a sword and leaped at the warrior who was now blasting fire at his comrades. Zeke slashed vertically downwards as he landed, in an attempt to slice the armor in half; as futile as it might be, he thought he would try anyway.

Lily's mind races as she puts away the flask. Her normal method of simply disassembling the target wouldn't do for something that was likely enchanted, so it was time for creative thinking. Such an action causes her delay, practically paralyzing her until she sees Hikari's cuts into the suit of armor. Instead of disassembling the object itself, she sends her swarm with a very special payload, that being fluorine and Oxygen from the air. The nanites in the swarm wait for their mistress' command, preparing to fuse the two chemicals with destructive results.

(Not sure if god-modding to do that... Anyway, the moment I get the go-ahead the fireworks will start.)

The guardian was still recovering from the blast as Zeke leaped towards it and sliced down from above. The lance started cutting straight through it's helmet, but before it reached halfway, the golem quickly stopped it by raising his hand and pushing the lance away before he was split in half. The magical set of armor swung his sword multiple times without any precision as he couldn't see really well.

 

Hikari quickly ran over to Sayaa to see if she was okay. "Hey, Sayaa! Can you hear me?!" She asked as she carefully shook her from her two shoulders.
