Your dream come true turns into a nightmare

OK! So you have finally arrived in the land of equestria, You are a pony and now you can be best friends with the mane six or your favorite side colt! Random songs with music that comes from nowhere will make each day wonderful and special and you will be able to life a better life in ponyville!

 

 

....or..WILL you?!

 

I will present you with a scenario and you will react to it and tell me what you would do under these circumstances.

 

1. So when you get there, you try talking to the mane six and each of them are either not interested in really talking with you or are too busy doing more important things. In other words they are no more interested in giving you a moment of time then most other side characters.However, they seem a bit more distant with you to boot!

 

2. You are a blank flank! You are an adult and most of the other ponies look at you with distain or mockery. A child still trying to figure out what to do is one thing but YOU?! At your age? Since you have nothing to contribute to anyone and most ponies ignore you.

 

3. Pinkie Pie was a great choice for getting everyone to party with you! However, since party planner is her profession she is far too busy. Her schedual for parties has become so full and exclusive for each one ( in other words you cannot walk into a strangers birthday party without an invite in real life so the same rules apply here ). Her book is full until eight months for now and to top it all off she charges a LOT for her planned parties! Its how she makes money after all! She can squeeze you in for a party in an hour but will charge you an arm and a leg for it!

 

To make up for not greeting new people to town! She converted her welcome wagon into a mechanical auto welcome wagon that activates when someone pushes a button. (think of shrek one when shrek first gets to the city)

 

4. Oh! you probably already guessed, but you have no money. 

 

5. Ontop of all this! The songs we hear on the t.v shows do not actually exist. They sing some of them but the magical music that comes out of nowhere and the correography does not actually happen! To top it all off, it sounds nowhere near as good in person when someone sings. (just like they would in real life)  Since its not perfectly polished by electronics.

 

6. Since your a blank flank, you decide to try talking with the cutie mark crusaders (forgetting in your desperation that you an adult trying to hang out with children that has never met you). Now some ponies after an incident with them makes them think of you as a perv.

 

 

So, there you have it! Mane six won't really give you the time of day! You are accused of being a possible stalker. Singing is a lot less entertaining and does not actually happen as much as often as you would think.  Pinkie Pie has failed you and you have no money to get introduced to anyone. 

 

To top it all off....many MANY of the ponies are very rude to you and look down on you. Plus they swear more then you ever thought.....at least a few do.

 

 

So what would you do in this situation?

I would probably lay down and cry. Can you blame me? I'm trapped in a world that is so similar and yet so different, stuck in a body I have no knowledge on how to use, surrounded by ponies who seem to be either indifferent or downright hostile. Even the elements of harmony, beings who are supposed to be some of the best of the best seem to dislike me.

 

 It's not like I can tell them about what I am, they'd probably send me to an asylum.

1. Leave them alone to do their thing. To be fair, it wasn't that nice of me to impose on them in the first place knowing how busy they usually are. Plus they're pretty much friends with the rulers of the land, so it's only natural they're busy. Derpy or Octavia might not be though...

 

2. To be fair, finding your niche is a bit of a challenge. I'm sure other ponies would understand, it's sometimes not easy to figure out what you're good at, it took me a while to find my area of study and I'm still not absolutely 100% sure. Maybe 98.75% sure, but still not 100%. I guess I'd grit my teeth and figure out my skill with or without their cooperation.

 

3. I'm not much of a party person anyway, I'd probably just politely turn down the offer and let her schedule the higher priority parties.

 

4. Well crap. Um... live in the old castle ruins until I can get on my feet?... It's got a pretty great organ there to keep me busy learning something new. Might even get a cutiemark with enough practice and take care of problem two!

 

5. I guess I'd deal with it and listen to some music of my own. Not really that big of an issue, a minor inconvienience if anything.

 

6. Disappear for a couple months, grow out the beard and mane and return a "different" pony, new wardrobe and all too. The only way to get out of that one really is to rebuild yourself or break the fourth wall entirely. (I don't think Q Discord would like that.)

Okay well I wouldn't have gotten into any of the situations outlined in the first place (minus the blank flank part, I honestly think that one's coming to me). But for the sake of hypotheticals:

 

1. If I tried to talk to any of the Mane Six and they ignored me, I'd move on. No need to impose. They have lives and I have lives, now that I'm a pony all they should be to me is somewhat celebrity mares at best. I don't see me running out and hounding the actors in movies I like, and that's essentially what happens here.

 

2. Work on figuring it out. Take odd jobs in the meantime. This ties into number 4, so I'm not answering it.

 

3. Again, I wouldn't mind. I'd turn down her offer and let my 'welcome' pass without indecent

 

5. Cool. I would have been irritated by all the spontaneous musical numbers anyways, unless it was weaved into my pony DNA to love them and join them. Hey, maybe I could get a job producing the musical numbers so they sound better? Carry around speakers and instruments with me or something.

 

6. Okay yeah this is just wrong. Keep my head down, work hard, Integrate myself into society. I wouldn't stay in Ponyville though. Too much trouble.

 

And they cuss? Heck, good on me. I'd fit in better.

Well that is still better than isolation in my bedroom I guess.

I'd probably do something helpful. Ask Luna or Celestia for advice on something to get my reputation better.

If nothing works I could always kill leave town.

now that i think about it, theres places in Equestria i could still explore even if the ponies were total assholes so i'd still have a good time.

Well, you never said what kind of pony I would be so.......My answer depends on that, but for the most part, I would probably run and lay down and cry. Perhaps the mess of nerves that I would become, laying near the road would at least be worth enough pity for one bit. 

At night, I would have to raid ponies trash to find enough substance to live off of. Though I would be depressed for the most part, I would still be alive which is the important part. Perhaps somepony would recognize a learning disability...again, play the pity card while still trying EVERYTHING to try and get a cutie mark on my own. What's the worst that can happen? End up locked up in Canterlot? At least I'd get enough food to survive.
