Code looked up when the door flung open and saw a large red pegasus enter the room and apologize. "It's alright." Said Code as he continued to fiddle with wires. The red pegasus continued into the room and introduced himself to Code. "Kinda looks that way." Code said with a smile. "Nice to meet you Stormwing. I'm Code Junkie. You can call me just Code though." He added as he went back to messing with the wires. "Right now, I am finishing hooking up a surround sound system in the room. So, if we want to watch any movies, we have good sound quality." Code answered Stormwing, pointing out the speakers that have put up around the room.

(I know, but it doesn't work.)

In surprise Drill said "289, same as you". He entered the dorm and put his bags down. He checking everything out, made sure this was there room...again. Then he went to the window and opened it. " Oh I can't wait for tomorrow". Drill said to himself. An adventure awaits him with roommate Cassidy. Then he said " So what are you planning to do for the rest of the day?.

Stormwing looked around as Code pointed out the speakers to him. He hasn't seen a lot of movies yet, so this was pretty exciting. "Cool!" He exclaimed. He turned around to see the bed that Code had already claimed. He dropped his bags on the other bed and didn't bother to unpack yet.

"Hey, when you're done with that I was thinking of flying around the academy grounds a bit. Care to join me?" He asked Code as he opened the window and stuck his head out. They were pretty high up here, high enough to make a dive. He looked back at Code. "I don't mind if you don't feel like it. Just wondering..."

He stepped back to look at the books that were in the bookcase. There was one that made his heart skip a beat. 'Meteorology'. A misleading name, since it had nothing to do with meteors. He knew that, because it was the study of weather, and that was exactly what he was interested in. He grabbed the book between his teeth and threw it on his bed to read later. He then waited for code to finish up his computer business in one of the comfy chairs that stood in the room.

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. Code smiled at Stormwing's enthusiasm for the speaker system. While connecting the wires, he accidentally touched two wires and majorly shocked himself. "Ow." He said as he put his hoof up to his mouth and put the shocked part to his mouth. After the pain subsided, he went back to finish connecting the wires. He wrapped the last wire around the node and the speaker can on with a light 'wurr'. He heard what Stormwing had asked him and thought why not. It would be good for him to go around and learn the layout of the acadamy.

"Sure, I'll join you. Just let me throw away this garbage." Code replied to Stormwing as he got up with boxes and plastic and went over to the trash can to throw them away. He had been sitting there a while and made long strides in order to stretch out his back and wings. "Ah, much better. So, where do you wanna go?" Code asked Stormwing as he came back from the garbage.

"Well I'm still not exactly sure, but I might check out the classes. I'm not sure though". Drill said. "Maybe I'll meet some mares?" He laughed at himself. " Well I'm going to check out the food!" Drill Horn licked his lips. "If you think of doing anything fun today, tell me. I'll probably hang with you...maybe". With that he walked out of his room and head towards the cafeteria.

Sonic flew about until he got bored. He sat down in a tree and stretched his wings. He bounced up and down on the branch. He lied back and relaxed. Flopping his mane into his eyes to make a sun shield to block the light from his eyes. He wrapped his wings around the branch, so if he fell asleep he wouldn't fall off.

Gambit had taken a scenic route around the Academy. It was big, but everything was laid out so elegantly. Everything seemed so easy to find. He hummed as he walked, calling to mind the times he and his sister used to sing together to keep each other from falling into depression. After a moment, he sighed and looked a little sad, as if feeling homesick already. "It's not the same without Faith..."

He continued on his way to the cafeteria, admiring the sights, sounds, and the occasional pretty mare. Most of it was an attempt to distract himself from his growing anxiety and to get himself adjusted to his new enviroment. Still, he'd promised Faith that he'd work on those issues. 'Hmm... Personal issues can wait 'til after lunch.' Gambit thought as he approached the cafeteria and walked in, already deciding to order one of everything.

Stormwing watched as Code took out the trash. When he asked him his question he replied with a uncertainty in his voice.

"Well, I was just thinking of flying around the grounds first, perhaps a full circle, and then checking out the cloud classroom. After that we could go to the cafeteria for a snack... If you want to." He explained. He wasn't very sure where he wanted to go, but simply flying a little would do him good. He decided to show a little more enthusiasm.

"Anyway, I'm going out for a fly... You'd better try to keep up with me." He said with a little bit of faked arrogance in his voice, since he knew he wouldn't be able to keep up with code in a short distance race. A long distance one however...

He walked up to the window and opened it. "You first, I'll follow you..." He said with a crude smile on his face, folding open his giant wings halfway.

"That sounds like a good plan. I was thinking the same thing, though the defac wasn't in my head til you said it. Honestly been so busy, that I just now noticed I haven't eaten all day." Code said to Stormwing's reply. Continuing to listen, Code sensed some arrogance in Stormwing's voice and decided to have a little fun with him.

"Me first? Alright." Code said as he climbed up in the window. "Now, I'll try to kee..." Before Code finished his sentence, he tripped and fell out the window. Letting himself fall down, he recovered himself at the first floor level and flew back up to the window. "You ready?" Code asked Stormwing.

Stormwing backed up a few steps from the window and grinned at Code. "You kidding? I was born ready!" He said a little dramatically. He then ran towards the window and jumped out without hesitation. He folded out his giant wings quickly and let himself make a dive to the ground before quickly pulling up with merely two flaps of his wings. In the time that Stormwing flapped his wings once, Code flapped them two or nearly three times. Be could see that Code was a very quick and agile flyer... Or at least that was what he presumed. He didn't have too much knowledge on inspecting some ponies physique.

As they floated in the air there, he looked up to the sky to see the cloud classroom. He grinned at Code. "Change of plan. Race me to the cloud class up there and we'll explore the rest of the academy floating down peacefully..." He suggested. He was starting to get more excited, and slowly let go of the little shyness that he had. He was ready to race... And most likely lose, but the cloud classroom was pretty high up. Perhaps he could catch a hot uprising current and drift up there with amazing speed. He just had to be smart, and lucky. He waited for Code to accept his challenge and readied himself to start flying as fast as he could...

Code watched as Stormwing took a few steps back and grinned at him. He knew what Stormwing was about to do and backed off from the window. As soon as Stormwing said his comment, Code watched Stormwing jump out the window and unfold his large wings. He was quite surprised by how large Stormwing's wings actually were. Code watched Stormwing as he flew back up with only a couple flaps. 'That's amazing. He's gotta be an excellent flier.' Code thought as he hovered in place.

"A race?" Code asked as he was issued the challenge by Stormwing. "Sure. Sounds like fun. You wanna start us off?" Code said as he prepared to take off when he said "Go". 'This might be a challenge. His wings will have a lot more push than mine.' He thought.

Snowy walked down the hall towards her room. It was natural for her to walk alone and in silence. She took in the sounds of her new environment listening to the chattering of other ponies and the wind rushing as ponies flew outside. looking down at her sheet of paper she checked the doors on the room until she came across her number.
"Hello?" she said as she walked inside. She noticed that it was empty and the sheet of paper did have only her name in this room. She smiled. -Looks like I get a whole room to myself- she thought with glee. Her horn glowed a light blue and she released some of her magic in the room, giving it a slight chill. Setting her necklace down on one of the desks she began to move things around where she could have a lot of free space. After arranging the room, she opened the window of her room to let in the air and sunlight. a small breeze of cold air that had formed in her room while the wind was close escaped out and mingled with the warm air outside. Moving away from the window she sat on her bed looking outside.
"I wonder what I should do now?" she thought to herself. As she lifted her necklace before her and began to to mess with the shard that hung from it.

Sonic woke with a start, and swung around the tree branch. He just sat there, dangling with his wings wrapped around the piece of wood. "Leverage. Smart thinking, Sonic." He said to himself as he dropped off and landed on his hooves. He lifted off and decided to fly a little bit longer. He flapped his way around the fence of the school gaining speed, until he turned off and flew through the courtyard at speed. Somepony was playing Hackie-Sack though, and it hit him in the wing. He spun out and right into the open window of Snowy Storms window.

Snowy was too busy with her own things to notice the pegasus until he had crashed into her room. She let out a small yell, butquickly regained her senses.
"What are you doing in my room!" she said a little a unnerved. "You can't just fly into any ponies room like that, especially a mares!" she said than noticed he did sort of crash into her room. she sighed and recollected her thoughts. -I still have half a mind to throw him out the window- she thought to herself with a dark smile.
"You're lucky I opened the window, or you might have been covered in glass right now" She got off the bed and watched the pegasus. after a moment or two she nodded her head.
"I am Snowy" she said with a slight bow. "what is your name?" she said.

She looked out the window to watch other ponies walk around. She turned to face him. -This is weird- she thought to herself. She never had a stallion just barge into her room like this before.
"Sonic Wind?" she paused. "So your are talent is in speed?" Snowy knew that most of the time the talent of a pony was sometimes related to there name. She could now actually feel her room grow cold.
"Doesn't the cold bother you?" she said unsure what else to say at this point.

As soon as Code accepted Stormwings challenge, he quickly scanned the area for indications of a upwards current. The buildings around them had a aerodynamic that would give his wings a small upward lift, but if he really wanted to get some speed he had to spot a more reliable source of wind. He looked at the clouds and measured a few distances. If he was correct, and he did hope he was, there should be slightly warmer air somewhere to his left, creating an upwards spiraling current. Unlike most pegasi, whose small wings didn't catch enough wind to get some reliable speed out of it, Stormwing could, with added strength from his wings themselves, reach amazing speeds when he flew with the wind in his back.

He then measured in which direction the wind was going. If he'd tack on the wind like a sailing ship, he would get even more lift! He was in luck, the wind was somewhat in the direction of the cloud classroom. Combined with the small upward current he had hopefully accurately predicted, he could gain speed with the weather. He stood a chance against Code in this situation.

As soon as Code said go, Stormwing dropped down instead of going up to the clouds. He made a dive and flapped his large wings as fast as he could, turning them slightly in the direction of the wind to catch some more speed, and headed for where he hoped that he could find the prized upwards zephyr. Right now his speed wasn't very impressive, but over time he would speed up. He accelerated slowly, but his top speed was tremendous! He just hoped he would be in luck with the weather. If he wasn't, there would be no way he could beat Code on a distance this small.

"GO!" Code said and took off towards the destination of the finish line. He noticed that Stormwing hadn't launched, but dropped down instead. Even though he was confused as to why Stormwing did that, Code didn't let up and pushed himself harder. He figured Stormwing was up to something and he didn't want to give any chances give up a win. He was way too competitive to give away a victory. He twisted and rolled around a few birds that came across his path, and pushed as hard as he could to the end.

Stormwing wanted to see how Code was doing, but he was afraid he wouldn't focus enough on the timing of his wings. He was slowly gaining speed, but he was nowhere going into the direction of the cloud classroom. He was waiting for that small gust of wind. The feeling that you suddendly got a whole lot lighter. That sudden change in airflow. He could find it any moment now... Or had he passed it? He became a little scared now. Had he not accurately predicted the atmosphere? He was not that experienced with it. A mistake could be very possible.

He was about to fly up on his own without help of the wind when he felt it. He suddendly had trouble staying down. He was floating up with ease. He adjusted his wingcycle and flew along with the upward drift. He gained speed far quicker now. He smiled lightly. Perhaps he could still win, but he had lost a lot of distance...

He quickly tacked on the wind, changing direction towards Code, but keeping the wind in his wings properly. He could see that Code had gotten a pretty good head start, but Stormwing was gaining on him slightly, having the wind and atmospherical current in his favour. Slowly Stormwing spiralled up to the sky, flapping his large wings as fast as he could. But eventually, he saw that he had been too late. He didn't gain speed quickly enough. He hadn't reached his top speed yet, and they were nearly at the cloud classroom. Code would finish in front of him...
