An interesting observation about Polsky and Powell [Minor Spoilers]

I recently realized that Dave Polsky and Corey Powell seem to often link their episodes together in some form. For example:

 

-Just For Sidekicks links directly to Games Ponies Play.

-Games Ponies Play, Rainbow Falls, and Equestria Games are linked via the arc.

-Sleepless in Ponyville and For Whom the Sweetie Bell Toils are linked via Luna.

-Twilight Time and Inspiration Manifestation show Twilight taking on more of her princess role.

 

Do you think this is likely? Do you think it might just be that all writers are now a working together a bit more closely? Or maybe both? Feel free to leave your thoughts below!

Polsky needs to stay away from Powell. It could hurt his career and ability as a writer just by associating with someone who understands the characters in this show as much as a 1st grader understands trigonometry.

Maybe it's like they wanna keep the episodes in an arc close to the same writers so it doesn't get too inconsistent.

Probably, but I find it interesting that an arc and a concept are mostly divided between just two writers. There is one more link that might exist, but I don't want say it'll happen yet.

 

I think Equestria Games will address why Spike wasn't invited to the Crystal Empire in Just For Sidekicks, but we'll see.

Polsky has enough black marks on his record (e.g., "Feeling Pinkie Keen", "Spike at Your Service") where he should take any help he can get -- unless it comes from Merriwether Williams.

I'll assume you're just referring to Spike At Your Service, because I really don't want this to become a writer-bashing thread.

For the record, I am not just referring to "Spike at Your Service". But you make a fair point about not turning this into a bash thread.

 

They may have assigned certain arcs to writers. It isn't officially stated anywhere, however. That might be a question worth asking of Meghan McCarthy.
