Well, I mostly play my ps3 so not sure how many recommendations I can make...

buuuut if there's one Xbox 360 game I'd consider a must buy it's Tales of Vesperia. I'm a Tales of fan and super sad that I never got to play that game. It's a solid JRPG, not everyone's cup of tea though.

I sincerely doubt you're a fighting game fan but, on the off chance that you are, Skullgirls is a cheap buy that has a lot of style. Might be worth a try even if you aren't a huge fan of fighting games.

Tales of vesperia is an amazing game only difficult thing is its not been in print for 5 years now so it's hard to find at a retailer. Lost oddisey is also a fantastic 360 rpg

True enough, though I did find a working copy of Tales of Symphonia at a Gamestop a few years ago. Might get lucky. Why I didn't hold on to that game from the very beginning, I'll never know... Well, it would've worked out eventually anyway, seeing as Tales of Symphonia Chronicles has released for the PS3.

And yes, I've heard Lost Odyssey is really good too. Of course, I haven't really heard that much about it, nor have I played any bit of it. Still, I'd look into buying it if I had a 360... after Tales of Vesparia, that is.  :P

LO is a turn based rpg it's combat is nothing amazing but it's story was written by Hironobu Sakaguchi the guy who created final fantasy. Also TOV got a ps3 release that was an extended directors cut in Japan but tecmo figured it wouldn't sell well in the EU or NA which is bull crap lol.

Any of these games are high recommendations for me:

  • Scurge: Hive
  • Rage
  • The Darkness 1 and 2
  • The entire Devil May Cry franchise. The PS2 games are on a collection for 360 while 4 and and DmC are already on 360. You don't have to play the previous four to play DmC though as it's a reboot. It's also the best in the franchise (many will try to tell you otherwise but you know you can trust me, right? ;):umad: )
  • Kameo: Elements of Power
  • Tomb Raider '13
  • Resident Evil 6
  • Rayman Origins
  • Any of the DS Castlevania games. Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia are all equally great games for totally different reasons.
  • Contra 4
  • Izuna 2: The Unemployed Ninja Returns (I've never played the first but I imagine it's just as good)
  • If you're a fan of Kingdom Hearts the DS KH games are amazing but you might be a tad confused if you play them without having played any of the previous ones.
  • Lunar: Dragon Song. Don't let the title fool you. It's nothing like the previous Lunar games. It's a real hit-and-miss game so I can only recommend this to you and tell you that there's a distinct possibility that you might not like it but also an equal opportunity you might love it.
  • Megaman Zero Collection (my favorite Megaman subseries)
  • Megaman Star Force series (my second favorite Megaman subseries)
It's also unclear whether you mean a regular DS or a 3DS. All DS games I just recommended still work but I have more for 3DS as well. Edited by Discordian

Recommending games? My friend, you have come to the right place.

It depends, are you a console or PC gamer?

If PC, I can't help you out much, I don't normally play PC games.

However, if you've recently acquired an Xbox One, I would highly recommend getting Titanfall, it's also for the Xbox 360, if you haven't already.

Skyrim is also a good game, and don't forget about Tomb Raider (newer consoles have an updated "Definitive Edition" version, much better!)

If you're more into portable gaming, I know lots about the Nintendo 3DS/XL/2DS, I would recommend Kid Icarus: Uprising, one of my all time favorites! Also, Star Fox 64 is an amazing game,  a remastered edition of the classic best seller!

If you're a Pokemon fan, or a new one (either is fine!), Pokemon X or Y are both amazing games (although they're basically the same!), they're perfect for beginners who are new to the world of Pokemon.

If you're all about the Wii U, there's not that much out now that's amazing, but Sonic Lost World is pretty fun, along with Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD. (Sonic Lost World for the Wii U also has a *special* bonus DLC- for free! It's a run through Hyrule, believe it!)

A little behind in this generation's gaming? Hey, that's cool too. For the 360, I would highly recommend Halo 4, if you haven't played it yet and are a fan of the Halo series. Hell, just go ahead and get 1-4, along with Reach if you're feeling up to it. The Gears of War trilogy is also one of the best, it's personally my favorite shooter series.

The PS3 is perfect for games that are 3rd party, and are shared with the 360, but you get free online! Make sure to get a copy of any COD for hours of free online. I've heard Ratchet and Clank were good too, also Sly Cooper is getting a movie soon, if you'd like to see what that series is all about!

I hope some of these recommendations help you out, friend! ^^ (\
