gaming Games on a Mac?

I have a mac and I was wondering if anyone knew any good games on it, yes i know there arent that many other than Tf2 but please help

I know that there are some Wine ports of games from PC to Mac. I remember that when I had a Mac the Fallout 3 Wine port ran well.

Well for one, minecraft is always available. And now steam has some games to play on a mac. Otherwise, most good games are for Windows only. :3

Really, the easiest way to get games on a macintosh is to put windows on your mac and use bootcamp. Mac gaming tends to lag really far behind windows gaming.

 

If you want to stick with mac though, then there are a few options. What kind of games do you like to play?

 

Most of the games available for mac can be found in Apple's app store (should be in your finder). Another good site if you want to browse for games is the Mac Game Store.

 

You can also try running windows games on Mac. There are a few good solutions.

• The wineskin project can be used to let some windows games run on macs.
• The Porting Team has a port database with quite a few working windows game wrappers in it.
• Crossover games from codeweavers lets you play windows games on mac as well.

Personally, I have found that the best way to get windows games working on mac is using a game wrapper. If there is no game wrapper, then you can try crossover games. If crossover games doesn't work, then trying to use wineskin would be more trouble than its worth.
