Alright, so the other day I was listening to a lecture and I kept hearing all these funny unintentional pony references.

This is what happened...

Guy: "So as you can see from this great plot...(something or other) MLP is very interesting"

In case any of you didn't know before, MLP also stands for Master Limited Partnership and is commonly heard in the shares and investments world!

Has anyone else had any encounters of unintentional My Little Pony references in their life? I have seen Winter Wrap Up sales quite a few times before too.

if you can think of anything, do feel free to share!

Happened to me at work today  I was singing happy birthday to a family friend's son and ended up spending a good deal of my shift playing with him and his friends (we were very dead today due to the weather). I went back into the kitchen to fetch the children more refreshments, when my boss stopped me to tell me that he admired how good I was at handling kids.

Boss: "I'm terrible with kids. I just don't see how you do it, it's like you're a f***ing princess of friendship or something."  >_>

I started singing the theme song of course  My boss knows I love MLP but I doubt he even realized that he made a reference, as he doesn't watch the show.

Before I became a brony, in the drama club at my school we were organizing a live, improvised soap opera (it's improvised but we still come up with the characters beforehand), and one of the characters was named "Rainbow Sparkle." I don't remember for sure who suggested the the name, but I'm pretty sure it was me who did. But like I said, I wasn't a brony and had no idea at the time that "Rainbow" and "Sparkle" were both parts of names of ponies.

Does it count if *I* unintentionally reference the show lol?  I've said "okie dokie" for years (because I'm so cool, obviously), and the other day a "lokie" just kind of fell out of my mouth along with it. xD  No?  Okay, every box of Apple Jacks cereal references Apple Jack. :P

I accidentally said (and I'm not kidding) "It would be perfect if it was about 20 degrees cooler" when I was outside today with my family.

Can't tell if pure coincidence or Freudian slip.  Luckily nobody caught on.

Oh yeah.. and another time I said "Canterlot" instead of "Camelot" during a presentation in English class about Arthurian Legend..  F#ck my Life...  At least is was an AP class, so everybody was nerdy and accepting.

Freudian slips.

Butterfly -> Fluttershy

I am glad I'm not the only one who does that!!!

Especially when you say it like this:

"Hey everyone! Look at that majestic Fluttershy!"   :yay:

But seriously, it can get a bit embarrassing sometimes... *ahem* Yes.

I have said everypony before in front of hundreds of people during presentations... Just cough and move on!

I wrote many essays in English with "anypony, somepony, and everypony" in place of the actual English words. Teacher didn't even notice.

Oh, it happens to me all the time. I'll occasionally make an obscure pony reference into a homework assignment, such as a paper or something just for the heck of it.

At my family reunion, people were talking about their childhood. So I decided to join the conversation by saying, and I quote "I remember what it was like when I was a little filly." My mind slipped up. Thankfully it wasn't that bad. All of the women thought it was cute, and as usual the guys made fun of me. >_>

And yes they know I watch MLP.

I've never slipped like that, but I have caught myself a few times.

I've seen quite a few references to MLP, recently. One of the cars in my apartment complex had a Rainbow Dash sticker on the back. I don't know whose it is, though. I've also seen a fair few people wearing pony shirts at my school. All in all, I'm proud to start seeing more and more ponies in other areas of my life. I don't know who you people are, but brohoofs to you.

I was in a play recently, I asked the costume designer if she could make my toga 20% cooler. Just came out without me knowing it!

In Chuggaaconroy's LP of Kirby's Epic Yarn he says "Let's DASH on over to RAINBOW falls!" though that actually could have been subtly intentional since he IS allegedly a Brony!
