Mine will probably be traditional animation, I like all animation If It is done right, but traditional has this magic look to it that I just love so much.

All animation is best animation.

The simple fact that still photos/pictures can be put together to create the illusion that it's moving is awe inspiring.

Anime-tion :3.  Although a case could be made for any or all (Dattebayo did a darn good job with the latter), I selected "cel" because I believe that's what was utilized in creating the animated film that most blew my sensitive little mind and forever changed my outlook towards animation in general...

AKIRA

Still my favorite film.  Still mindblowing.

Stop-motion, claymation, inked traditional, flash...all of these are amazing types of animation and all require an amazing amount of concentration and patience to get right.

They have to be majestic. lol
Like, in a magical sense to it. That's one of the reasons why I love MLP and Madoka Magica. They have a magical, out of this world air to it. Magic is beautiful, and a unique thing. I love magiiiic~

Regarding stop-motion: Ray Harryhausen is one of my heroes.

I had to look up who that was. Don't usually know names but with this guy I've never seen any of his work. I own the 1981 Clash of the Titans but I've yet to watch it. Not much of a movie person but I wanted to see the original before I watched the new one...haven't seen that one either.

My favourite, both to see and to do, is digital...digital traditional?  tradigital---the-the one where you do it by drawing all the frames like traditional but work with digital mediums like a computer tablet.

I find it provides the best balance between workflow and end result.  I animateded a kitty last weekend:

But I'm a fan of just about any kind of animation done well.  It took me a long time to come around to puppet animation, a la Flash, etc.; it wasn't until Wakfu and My Little Pony showed me that puppet animation doesn't have to look like garbage.
