"Whats with the boring introduction, you know, you'll never prove anything by being like that"-"shut up, dammit, just stop talking to me." Looking around, he realizes what just happened and swears loudly.

 

"Ok, just to clear this up with the rest of the students in here, the Deino evolutionary family is known for it's indecisiveness and infighting, even among a single individual. This is normal, especially among Zweilous and Hydreigon, which have multiple heads with functioning brains. He'll likely have these little in-fights more frequently as he nears evolution." Rune said to the class. Turning to Kenji he said "Alright, if you want to go back to your seat, you can, since you've demonstrated your ability already, and being put up in front of the class when you have a little episode like that might be a tad embarrassing, so feel free to sit back down if you want."

"I am Apisves, I hope I don't bug ya. Yeah, I'm a Kakuna gjinka" Apisves joked, not really aware of how horrible that pun was. He wasn't too afraid of the Deino's bite, which was odd. Usually, he'd be running for the hills, but now, he just felt like it was...good, good that he was a challenge and tough

Synthia makes her entrance as this boy began his little defensive speech. She closes the door behind her and clears her throat, "When I was your age, I had a librarian who refused to evolve because she found Gardevoir's dress rather hard to sword fight with. I admire your courage to evolve, though gender roles may be against you. And if Headmaster Rune permits, we can always re-impliment the duel system should conflict over it arise." She clears her throat, "Just thought you should know Rune, I'm going to be filling some of the papers for your status. So you can.... focus." She gives him a charming wink and exits to go do that paperwork.

Kage walked up to the front of the class next. "I'm Kage and I'm a Gengar gijinka. As you can guess, my abilities are all Ghost-type related, and I think it makes life a whole lot more fun!" He grinned as he said this, which ironically happened to show off his Gengar-like appearance.

After a few had introduced themselves, he raised a pale hand from out underneath the side of his cloak before he spoke:
"I am Sne, and I am a Snorunt gijinka... And aye, before you ask any further - the chill in here you might feel is very likely from me... Sorry in advance." he said, lowering his arm as he spoke, a mild look of concern on his face.

"Sne, so I'm assuming the temperature incontinence is your ability, so you're going to want to learn how to control it. I don't have a ton of experience with ice-type gijinka, but I'd recommend trying to think warm thoughts. It generally works in the inverse for certain fire types who make the room extremely hot." He explained.

Looking at the teacher. "Excuse me, a dueling club? Wouldn't that be a good way to learn to control our abilities? Or use them to our advantages? Or if one.ofus has trouble with thier ability, it coukd help them to master it a lot easier, am I right?" He says this last part to everyone else.

"No no no. She was merely referring to something from our old academy days together where there was actual sparring with use of more combat-centric abilities and it did end up causing quite a few injuries when it was used." Rune explained. "But there weren't that many duels anyway, so it was something nobody really used and when it was used, it was quite hazardous, so I wouldn't recommend it, as someone who was actually in a duel and got knocked out from it." He turned to Fey. "Anyway, I think that's everyone in here for now, so Fey Lin, you appear to be a Ninetails gijinka, right? So, what's your ability?" Rune asked.

Her stutter was even worse than usual because she was put on the spot.

"I can toughen up a little and shed my skin..that's it really. My toughening up doesn't make my insides less squishy though" Apisves shrugged, flashing his skin as it toughened for a brief moment as a demonstration before returning to its normal, soft consistency

Fey's eyes widened when she heard the teacher explain what people would do just to have her ability. "K-Kill? Wh-Why k-k-k-kill? I kn-kn-know it can't b-b-be demonstrated b-b-but th-the way I l-l-look is enough. I l-l-look fourteen wh-wh-when I am a-a-a-actually s-s-seventeen." Fey stammered, trying her best not to think about the kind of people that would kill for her ability.

"Alright, calm down Fey. It's a figure of speech. Nobodies going to harm you because they wouldn't get your powers like that, it just doesn't work that way." Rune reassured. "Now, Apisves, mind if we demonstrate a bit? The flashing skin was good, but to reinforce that you can harden your skin, let's test it out a bit. Would you be fine with taking a little cut? I can clean it up and bandage it afterwards if it happens to go through the hardened skin." He asked.

First, Kage slowly lifted himself off the ground, lying back as he would in a deck chair, with his hands behind his head. "This is the only one of my abilities I can do decently..." he said. "Though it takes me a lot of effort and I can't move about or keep it up for long..." After a few more seconds, his levitation broke and he feel to the ground, landing unsteadily on his knees.

"Impressive." Rune said. "So is that all you can do? You said you can do multiple things, let's see them." He said. "Assuming they don't involve harming or scaring the other students, go ahead and show them." He strolled over to his desk and took a seat, leaning back in the chair.

Kage chuckled. "Well, they have the potential to scare students, if you're afraid of ghosts!" Kage began to slowly disappear into tin air, until only his left hand and his right leg were still visible. "I can turn invisible, but not completely yet. Also, I have no control over which parts of me turn invisible and which don't." Turning fully visible again, Kage turned to face Rune again. "That's it for me really. I've heard that many ghost type gijinkas can learn to walk through walls, but I can't even get close to doing that! I'd like to be able to learn that too though... So yeah, that's me really!"

Rune stood up and motioned for the standing students to return to their desks. "Alright, I think that's everyone who wanted to show off their abilities at least." Rune said. "Now, the best way to learn how to master your abilities is to work either on your own, or with a partner who can at least think of ideas on how to improve your abilities. If you need additional help, please, feel free to come see me if I'm not already assisting another student. So, begin your practices. Again, if you need assistance with your abilities, please, don't hesitate." He said, sitting back down and observing.

"Well, Fey, considering you mentioned when you were a Vulpix, you could conjure flame, yes." Rune explained. "If you're sure you can't conjure flame or any kind of heat anymore, I'd try to think about something tangentially related to conjuring flame, like radiating heat from your body, for example. Now, if the extent of that is you are able to cook an egg on your palm, that'd definitely be a neat party trick, but that would still count as an ability as far as I'm concerned."

Sne watched, seemingly interested, and almost somewhat amazed at what a couple of them could do.

When Rune Blade told them to sit down and work on their own for a bit, he made himself extra comfortable, and got into the sitting position he sometimes had when sleeping - head hanging low, and back arched forward while leaning on the back of his seat, and his legs crossed almost like in the lotus position.

 

"Warm thoughts..." he said, trying to figure something out. Finally figuring something out, he begun to shiver, the chill around him subsiding slightly - not much, but slightly noticeable. "Bleh..." came from him as he did, keeping it up for a little more.
