movies/tv What was the most meaningful moment to you that you've ever seen in any show

In any anime or cartoon or whatever else what was the most meaningful scene to you?

Mine was how Gajeel from fairy tail joins the guild.

Gajeel seems to be exactly the way I was. Personally I don't want to stop, but I see no path ahead of me. It feels like a dead end, but this gives me somewhat of a hope.

the ending of the E,E,E movie made me feel so happy, it was the perfect closure to pretty much my childhood, the edds finally being accepted, and the song they all sing together, just touched me somethin deep

Too many to choose from with me...maybe the last Doctor Who episode with Rose as his official companion...dang, cant remember the episode name. But when they're separated in different universes and listening through that wall as if the other is on the other side. Or maybe later when he doesnt quite get to tell her he loves her before the signal dies out.

lol doctor who feels, right?

although mlp had some good ones too, one thats stuck with me is when applejack tells spike to leave her and save himself when her hoof is stuck in the rocks.

and who can forget the first like, 8 minutes of Disney's Up? Or better yet, the whole darn movie.

and Steven Universe has had some deep, meaningful moments as well, but not the kind that are immediately noticeable, which is why I love that show (well that and the soundtrack anyway)

and then there's anime. Too many with meaningful moments to list.

Yeah, ive probably listed too many things here for this to even count as an answer... :P oh well.

Almost the entire series of Gurren Lagann. But especially the last couple episodes where a bunch of the characters sacrifice their lives to help the others progress, and when Kamina comes back into the dream dimensions and shows them that they have to move forward

When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move,
your job is to plant yourself like a tree next to the river of truth, and tell the whole world
"No, you move."

Iron Giant...When the giant says "Superman" and calmly closes his eyes just before intercepting the nuclear warhead. I still tear up when I see that.

The end of the Simpsons episode "And Maggie Makes Three."

Bart: "So Why no pictures?"

Homer: "Oh, there are pictures.  I keep them where I need the most cheering up."

Followed by the do-it-for-her scene.  I get misty eyed every time.  I was going to post a youtube video of it, but there isn't one of that scene, which is surprising.

(edited)

This part in the show Adventure Time, in the episode "I Remember You":

It might not make total sense for people who haven't seen the whole episode, but it is very moving and emotional, at least I thought so. Adventure Time seems to consistently push the boundaries of what I thought cartoons were capable of in terms of evoking emotions and telling powerful, moving stories, and when they do it through song it's just that much more meaningful. That episode, followed by the one titled "Simon & Marcy", forever changed Ice King from a worthless fool, to a tragic hero. He let his mind erode away just so he could protect one little girl. I can't look at him the same way any more.

In Date - a - live -

 SPOILER

One of the characters gives his life to save another. It's pretty epic stuff, can't find a clip tho :c

I find that all anime has much more depth to the characters then regular TV. There are so many heart wrenching moments in most of them!

Fullmetal Alchemist has a lot of meaningful moments. These are just some of them

  • Winry pointing the gun at Scar. She wants revenge on her parent's killer. It's a pretty intense scene.
  • When Ed, and Al find the little girl who has been turned into a Chimera. So many feels!
  • When Ed, and Al attempted to bring their mother back to life, and it went horribly wrong.
  • Ed's reaction when he think's that Roy Mustang killed that one female soldier.

there's one thing that Barney says in How I Met Your Mother that really got to me:

"I've learned that i can never trust anybody enough to love them... and, i'm ok with that".

My answer is related to this statement here.

My answer:

THE ENTIRE BRO CODE (from How I Met Your Mother).

lol jk. I'm not quite a true bro. Although I'm close...

My actual answer:

I don't have an answer. Shows, or movies, barely ever have any emotional/psychological effect on me. My mind is hard to read and a lot of people keep telling me I have a very strong Will... I don't see it, but I just go with it...

Do movies count? Because mines a Star Trek movie.

Ok, the speech in Star Trek Nemesis after Data was killed and the scene after with Picard and B-4 made me cry my eyes out. The thing is right before I watched Encounter At Farpoint where Data says 'I'm superior, but I'd give anything up to be human.'

the feels just compacted right then

I only love you platonically.

As in plate tectonics.

As in two bodies sliding against each other.
