Random acts of kindness

I dunno if I'd call it a kindness since I got something out of it but I made dinner yesterday when I normally don't.

I don't typically do something if there isn't something in it for me.

The one that stuck out the most is a little long so bear with me.

I got into a car accident on the freeway, totally rear-ended a guy. I'm stuck in the car frozen in shock since I have never gotten into an accident before. Once the shock wears off I begin completely panicking. The driver of the car I hit got out, opened the door, and started asking if I was alright. I could barely get a word out so he takes my hand, starts directing me on what to do, and calls an ambulance for me. After he calls the ambulance he stayed with me the whole time (and helped me call my mom to get her to the scene) until the cops and medics arrived. I got taken away, my mom arrived and dealt with the cops and the driver.

The driver's car was barely scratched. Mine was totaled. In the end the guy never even filed an insurance claim. Never got his name, but I'm still amazed at the kindness of this guy.

I told my husband I love him this morning, I do that every day, but I always mean it.

I waved and smiled to a random child at the store while they were fussy about a toy, but when when i smiled and waved, they stopped to smile back. Was so cute!

I bought a few strangers food yesterday.  One was homeless and the other was just some random lady because I had a free popcorn coupon that I wasn't going to use.

Before I say anything else I just want to say that any act of kindness, even if only a hello on the street is kind. I'm in high school and as a lot of us know kids are cruel and I am pretty dam shy in school so its hard to open up about how I feel and open up to friends so it can be pretty lonely sometimes. But even a hello, or a smile is really nice so even if you think your not making a difference to someone's life you are. Kindness is beautiful and should be shared with world and to anyone even if you don't think they deserve it everyone is human and everyone is lonely.

I redeemed the pringles action lids in Burger King, then I remembered Burger King is kind of bleh and I gave the burgers to a homeless woman

Whenever I help out people that suddenly have "too little money for their tube ticket", I don't really feel like I did something good, afterwards, anymore. I think it comes with growing old. Yet, I somehow feel this inner "tug" when someone asks me for pocket change. I kind of hate it, and try to fight it.

That one other time I encountered the same person twice, that first asked me for tissues, and then for money for a ticket. I said I recognized him, and didn't give him any money, "how likely is it you miscalculated twice?"

He said nothing, got on the same tube as me and exited the next stop, immediately taking out his wallet and putting up that confused "i might have too little money" act again

There's the kind beggars, and the rude beggars....

I gave my sister a £1 coin which is equivalent to $1.68 US Dollars. she didn't want it. I've been giving my brother sweets lately. I think I should stop teasing him.

If it's stuff like holding doors open, standing aside for people when they're walking through a door/getting off the bus, letting people go ahead of me in a queue, standing up and letting people have a seat etc; then every single goddamn day because I was brought up with respect and to always have manners, no matter what.  I always offer to buy drinks for people, too, and i'm normally frugal with my money.

I suppose the last time I did a truly random act of kindness was a few weeks ago when I read a bedtime story for my niece. I'm an introverted, bitter person who doesn't interact well with kids but she wanted the story reading, so I did it with the voices and everything and she enjoyed it.

I think it was when I asked my friend if she wanted to drive home with us, because it was dark and she had to take the bus alone, so why not? Could also have been the time I bought some extra bread and offered my friend it instead, because she doesn't have food with her usually *cough* no sympathy, she's just too lazy to make her own and take it with her *cough*.

You, my good sir, have the kindness of Fluttershy & the patience of Rarity (I point you to the sisterhood special for why I said that) if you can put up with that...

I was at a church activity. We had dinner there, and there was this girl who said that she forgot to put salad dressing on her salad. I walked over to the serving table and gave her the boat so she could serve herself.

I took a Gatorade out to my mom on the porch lol.  That's a bigger deal than you think!  I'm often mobbed by cats.  And I have OCD, so touching something in the fridge means I have to run wash my hands afterwards (and prior to getting back on my computer, watching a DVD, or whatever).  I might wash my hands twenty times in a single day (it varies - I don't keep exact count), so anytime I dirty them for someone else is an act of kindness. xD  I know, I know - it's like I'm a hero or something.

I took time to help a friend buy a gaming laptop for $800 when he was planning to waste $900 on a touch-screen, intel integrated graphics laptop (I bet most of the price was on the touch-screen).
