Hello and welcome all, this is my review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, or at least the spoiler free, light side edition, if you want to call it that. So, what did I think of it? I thought it was good. Not perfect, but very good, far better than the prequels. However, it is not without it's flaws, which I'll discuss in The Dark Side, Spoilery edition. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is not the only "girls' show" that I watch. With the barrier down on MLP, I decided to dive into another genre of show that is also derided as "for girls", but has some hidden gems: magical girls. No, not just Sailor Moon and the dark stuff like Madoka Magica, I'm talking about the standard magical girl warrior fare.
Positives - Nice mix of CGI and Practical Effects - Nice to see returning characters - Stormtroopers are actually threatening compared to the originals - Generally an improvement over originals
Negatives - Generally copy and paste of Episode IV's plot - Acting is...average for the most part - Cliche - Stormtroopers STILL can't aim - Kylo Ren is nowhere near as good a villain as Darth Vader.
Overall 7/10 A decent film.

I really hate what keeps happening to me. I'll be in the mood to talk, and I'll go to a profile of a forum friend, and I'll consider messaging them to start up a conversation.
