Steam Trading Cards coming out of beta recently made me realize something.
Steam is becoming a game in itself.
In September of 2011, Steam Trading went live to all users. It's a feature that allows users to trade items between each other, from in-game items, to Steam items such as coupons and unredeemed games.
June 2013, the Steam Trading Cards and profile update goes live for all users. This adds profile levels, crafting of badges and collecting of trading cards and achievement show

Yeah, that's kinda what I thought when I saw the OP. But it could be a good idea if it were tweaked I think.
What if there was an option in your profile settings to define yourself as either a writer, musician, artist, or animator? It could show up on your profile, or it could even replace your user title in your posts with a fancy little image (see screenshot with terrible concept art above).
I got back into Minecraft and decided that I should get back into building huge over-complicated buildings immediately. So I decided to make a ranger lodge, here are some screenshots. I'd appreciate any thoughts or feedback.

Okay, I'm just gonna throw some stuff out there so I don't forget to mention anything.
OTSW is on hold for now ("you mean it wasn't before?"). I planned it very crappily to begin with and was writing/planning myself into elaborate corners. So the chapters I do have now will most likely be twisted or scrapped. I'm going to make the intro actually interesting and more obviously pertaining to the rest of the story.

According to the "officials," Boys State is a week of mock government where you learn what it takes to make a democracy function and sit and listen to senators and governors talk about their careers.
According to anyone who goes to Boys State, it is a week of public nudity, assassination attempts, lawsuits, scheming, and vaguely sexual campaign posters.
It's pretty damn sweet.
