Next Saturday is going to suck. Not only do i have to work the worst time possible(graveyard shift) but there won't be a new MLP:FiM episode.--Not for a while anyways. So last week it came upon me that I wanted to create a written works site. It's focus would be the MLP:FiM world. So I started to write code for it and soon ( the same day ) canterlotlibrary.com was bought and setup so as it would resolve to my VPS.

The episode started unusually, with a song from Twilight who ironically sings about the greatness of the day and how nothing is wrong. Of course, as cartoon reality tells us, we all know that there's something coming her way. And soon after we are told that the Element's destinies are being switched. After watching the new episode, I realized that the Twilicorn rumor was real. I didn't like Twilicorn to begin with. Why? Because I'm a human, to which most humans don't like change. OCD and anxiety don't help that either.
However, I had a realization that put lots of my worries to rest. Twilight didn't change mentally, just physically. She still LOVES her friends (she pretty much kept saying that every 5 seconds after becoming an alicorn) She's still the same science-loving adorkable pony,

So, my thoughts on this episode. Let's go through all of the things it did and why I feel as a whole this episode was above average, though not stellar.
First, this episode had two principle ideas that arguably could have benefited from being fleshed out into a two parter. The first idea is that of cutie marks being rewritten. The second was Twilight Sparkle's coronation.

On the one hand, we now have all sorts of things that have become canonical. Yes, we already had "Alicorn" in show from Magic Duel, but only with Magical Mystery Cure do we have a confirmation that Alicorn is used to refer to Winged Unicorns.

My first impression of the finale is somewhat mixed.
To begin with, the Twilicorn concept was handled a hell of a lot better than I thought it would. Like I wrote in my editorial in the MLP Forums, the concept Hasbro dished out there was needlessly stupid because it had literally no momentum and had many complicated paths that could risk altering the dynamic of the Mane Six.
