Firefly and MLP
These two scenes always remind me of each other. It is the same archetype of the veteran/mentor true noble who treats the 'fools of the court' as they deserve. The one who can see through all the phony aristocracy, yet exist in it.
I have a moderate suspicion that the MLP scene might have been inspired by the Firefly one. There are certain visual and thematic similarities.
The Equalized village reminds me of Camazotz in A Wrikle In Time.

We see Sugar Belle for the first time but she looks totally diferent.
Starlight has the Lance of Longinus.
And Party Favor can make some pretty damn amazing balloon scuptures.

Why did Twilight wave from the balcony rather than being with the other princesses.
Yeah, she has nothing to do. She's just the one who always saves the world.
I've never liked that earth pony magic is just strength. Applejack is really strong but so is Dash. Pinkie doesn't seem especially strong. It should really be some kind of affinity with plants.
Celestia's mane really should have turned pink when she lost her magic.

I wonder how Twilight's spell was detected and who was looking for it. Really you'd think unicorns could cheat at games all the time.
Also don't see why it was a big deal. Spike got stage fright and she helped him out.
Those are some dangerous arrows. One misfire could result in numerous deaths.
So we actually saw Rarity and Sweetie Belle's parents again here. I thought they were only on the show once.
We were all a little disturbed when she turned the mariachis into Octavia and company. Well whatever that was I guess it was fixed in the end.
The whole thing makes me wonder how spells work in conjunction with unicorn magic. Rarity doesn't seem to have very strong magic but here she was transforming things at an insane level just by saying a few words.

Since 06/15/20, coronavirus cases per day have been vastly increasing in the USA. Yep, looks like a second wave of the coronavirus is heading my way. So much for "2020 couldn't get any worse".
This year has been terrible. The coronavirus hit hard, so did the riots after George Floyd's death. As if that wasn't bad enough
As of today, I have officially been working at a job every single week for a year straight! This job picking at Macy's is the first job I've ever worked that I've held for a full year, and this is also the first year of my life where I've spent no time unemployed! Also, despite the fact that I'm working full-time at 40 hours with 50-hour weeks potentially coming earlier than expected, my activity with both my creative work and my games has not stagnated!
