New Kyoshi Commission! (Self-Acceptance)

Kyoshi Frost Wolf

Baboom. The new commission that I have been hinting at is now complete. The artist did an amazing job, completely nailing the kind of vibe I was going for, a vibe that is happy and playful, something that some of my past Kyoshi pieces of art haven't embraced. I don't know if they want me to mention them by name or linking to them, they didn't mention that so I will not do so right now, but I am very grateful for people like them. They allow someone like me to have this kind of expression through art despite me having no skill like this. This commission is a statement of self acceptance, a showing of me not being afraid of embracing myself and who I am.

Of course, this commission will result in some questions I'm sure and I will fully answer any questions. I will go ahead and answer a big one right now before the image: This is not a fetish of any kind for me, at all. So please don't take it that way.

With that established, here it is.

Seriously, they absolutely knocked this out of the park, into deep space. It looks amazing! The colors, the shading, the overall look, absolutely nailed. They went all in on the relaxed and playful look, pretty much

Now of course, the elephant in the room that isn't an elephant, because elephants are big! Yes, you are seeing what you are seeing. That's obviously a diaper he has on. Whyyyyy you may ask? I'll explain: Anyone that knows me knows I suffer from different mental problems. Always have, always will. That's how it is. The diaper...well, to put it bluntly, I wear those. 24/7 in fact. Different reasons. To simplify, it provides me with an immense feeling of comfort and safety. You may now be asking "why?", truth be told I cannot quite explain it, but this has been part of my life since I was 5 years old. Yeah, the vast majority of my life, this has been part of it.

For years I have struggled with accepting myself in regards to this. I've had many periods where I tried to distance myself because I felt ashamed, but I always went back and I felt good when I did. I felt comfort. I felt like...me. So I am truly embracing the fact that I am like this. I know, this might seem weird to many, but please know I don't want to weird anyone out, this is just me. I want to accept myself for who I am. This seems like a good thing to do that with, because most of my life I had to hide it, much like how I had to try and seem as "normal" as possible so other people would not stare at me or make fun of me, but that never worked. My quirks always show, because I am me. I can't hide who I am. So me accepting myself for this, is like a statement of my entire self and accepting it all.

Gah, I am being awkward here, but I have been so excited to share this and here it is. I hope you all understand. I won't blame any of you if you are weirded out, I am just happy I am doing this.

One should never be afraid to live the life they desire. You're way of life does not harm other people or creatures, so I see or have never seen any issues with you.

I still think you are as adorable as ever!

I'm happy that you were able to accept yourself, that takes a lot of courage to do. And I don't judge you one bit, we've all got our weird quirks and stuff that people don't consider "normal", but who are they to say what is and is not normal? "Normal" is subjective, so as long as you're not hurting anyone or doing anything illegal, what you do is perfectly alright as far as concerned.

Thank you all so much for your support and positive words. <3 It truly means a lot. To think, right before I posted this blog originally I was actually incredibly worried, but it seems that worry was entirely unwarranted. I am glad I posted this. It makes me feel a sort of relief within myself, you know? Like me knowing that I'm not afraid to just be me. It has a much larger impact on me than some might think.

With that said, I now give hugs to you all. *hugs to you all* :muffins:

Awww he looks adorable :Daydreaming:

And also I feel that it's better to be different to everyone else. It expresses your individuality, and it makes you a more interesting person than the generic person. :BrightMacContent:

@Princess of Hearts ❤️❤️ Thank you. ^-^ I agree and honestly that's where the silver lining is to my mental issues. Yeah, they make life rather...well, difficult for me, but I feel that I am quite unique because of them. Sometimes things like that can have their positives. :) I feel that people should embrace themselves and not think lowly of themselves because of their "quirks". It is part of who we are.

Oof, Im late, very late, sorry.

But I really like it! A work of art indeed! And your words when you posted this were amazing as well, I really enjoy seeing you like this, accepting who you are and loving yourself can be tough for some people and nothing makes me smile more than when someone gets to smile after tough times like you did here.

The reason I delayed was very similar to yours, I was unsure of what would you think of whatever I'd say, I hope you understand.

I feel exactly the same way.  Up top, bro.  :)  Incidentally, I feel kinda bad that I haven't been on the forums much lately.  I've been very busy with projects, and I will be for the foreseeable future.  In fact, the only reason I'm here now is that I'm procrastinating because I'm finding it really difficult to get to work.  :sunny:  But you're always welcome to chat me up, even if I don't reply in a timely manner.

Wow, I didn't realize I never actually commented on your actual blog of this! As you know I love the commission and am so grateful that you shared it along with your story behind it.:-D I came across it totally by accident on here and was like :wau:...

Your sharing of this, and talking with you has helped me with my acceptance of this aspect of myself too, and I'm SO grateful!!:kindness:

I can kinda relate to this. Not the wearing 24/7, but the acceptance, and I also deal with people who are judging and think it's strange and weird and say adults shouldn't wear them, and then some of them call you certain names :T

I'm glad to see you're accepting of this lifestyle though.

Yeah...Society in general absolutely LOVES to step on anyone they can brand as "different" or "weird". Screw that though, what we do harms absolutely nobody and they have no right to judge anything considering how messed up a lot of the world really is. I think it is pretty cool that we can relate on this, always love finding others like me in this regard. :yay:
