Yeah, you know I'm not that guy.

But I have a point here. Why do we keep seeing discussions like this?

 

Being a brony is the best thing that's ever happened to many of us. It started a new chapter of my life, a much happier one. There's not one of us here that doesn't enjoy being a part of all this, watching the show and seeing the work it's inspired (whether Hasbro likes it or not xD).

 

So why the constant rumor-mongering and debates about stuff that hasn't happened yet? Why repeat every negative thing people say about us? We're fans, not tabloid journalists. One of the reasons Lauren Faust created My Little Pony was to transcend that kind of cynicism.

 

Have we? And if we fail to do so as fans, how much are we really appreciating the show and its message?

 

Something to chew on.

The fandom is in trouble, and it needs our help. Conventional problem-solving skills are not enough to solve this crisis.

 

New plan: Save the fandom with crickets.

I'm starting to think that MLP might be the first fandom for a lot of people.  Fandoms don't just die and go away.  Look at Harry Potter.  You focus on the parts you like and try to be the best you can be and it's just that simple.  People just need to learn to relax.
