All because a fan character got lines in the show...?

Because if it wasn't for the imagination, creativity, and persistence of the fandom, today would never had happened. The fans created Derpy and the animators were generous and kind enough to make her a legitimate character. Derpy is truly a fan-created character. One tiny animation derp (pun intended) evolved and exploded into a full-fledged character.

Also I hope I don't live to the year 6099 Oh wait, I'm The Doctor. Of course I can live that long.

Sad days these days for Derpy, but it's not like soccer moms can ever get rid of her within the fandom. I don't particularly care for her a lot, but I know she means a lot to the community, and I hope people can find comfort in that she'll stay alive as long as they want her to.

sooo happy!  I will definitely be celebrating.  because as cheesy as this sounds meeting this grey mare saved me from myself.

I would sit here and go off on a rant about how stupid it is that a fan character gets her own event just because said character got a couple of lines for one episode, but I suppose that would be improper of me to do so. But hey, like you said, it shows that they know that we Bronies exist! But does it really deserve it's own event?

Actually it wasnt an animation error the illustrator decided to throw it in just because and was noticed by the community and was eventually named " Derpy Hooves "
