  1. Well, I was playing kerbal space program, and I meant to send a ship into orbit. He is now hurtling out of fuel towards the sun uncontrollably. RIP Jeb.

He's really far away though... It turns out he's actually orbiting now anyways, he's just orbiting close to the sun and I'm currently in the stage of career mode where I haven't even made it to mun yet. Plus I find it funny to watch "Space maybe" just hurtling around. It comes really close to kerbin every now and again.

Later in the game, do this. When Jebediah's orbit's apoapsis comes near Kerbin's location in Kerbin's orbit, launch a probe with an empty command pod and a LOT of fuel in the upper stages for orbital maneuvering. When it's dusk at KSC, send your rescue ship straight up and away from Kerbin. Don't even try to orbit Kerbin, because that'll waste fuel. If you do this correctly, you'll have an orbit similar to the one Jebediah is in.

From there, match your orbit so that it doesn't come quite as close to the sun as Jebediah. This means Jebediah's orbital period will be quicker than your rescue ship's. Eventually, after a few years, you should have your orbit very closely aligned with Jebediah's at the particular point of apoapsis. From there you can set as target, match velocities, and close the distance. You can use a similar process to bring Jebediah back home--just wait for your orbit to align with Kerbi...
