I really liked Too Many Pinkie Pies. I don't really know why, seeing as Pinkie Pie isn't my favorite character, but I guess the humor and the fact that Pinkie Pie was brought down-to-earth in this episode made it the first one to pop into my head as my fav so far. Honestly though, in two weeks, Keep Calm and Flutter On (or whatever it's going to be called) is going to be my fav anyway! Discord guys! And Fluttershy! Yep, that's definitely going to be my fav. But for now, Too Many Pinkie Pies.

Hey, just adding one more thing. What first got me interested in the show was the song Discord (the remix by TheLivingTombstone). I loved the song and I eventually started watching the show just so I could see the Discord episodes. I would suggest (if your friend likes a more rock/dubstep type thing) that you have them listen to that and then show them The Return of Harmony 1&2. That's what got me hooked! If your friend likes a different type of music, just surf around and find a song that matches their taste. Then, show them the episode that goes with the song. It just adds an interest factor, you know?

Hey! That brony documentary that John De Lancie made might help. He said that it was a way for bronies to show their fandom to their parents in an official way. If your parents rely heavily on official sources, this could work. Plus, if your parents know John De Lancie and like him as an actor that could influence them too.

I would show them Lesson Zero or The Return of Harmony (both parts). If they start to give the show a chance, show them the Nightmare Moon episodes. Save the more girly ones for later.

Your parents have many rights. They gave you the gift of life after all! But one right they absolutely do not have is the right to force you not to like something. People tell children to obey and respect their parents. But if your dad came up to you and asked you to jump off the edge of a cliff, would you? Of course not! Parents are supposed to support their child in whatever their child does(unless it's illegal or something, in which case, well you should listen to your parents). But if there is one thing this show has impacted me init is being happy. I didnt even know how bad I felt inside until I began watching this show. Then. I began feeling truly happy. No parent has the right to take happiness away from their child. I don't care if it's a 'kid's' show! If it makes you happy, tell them! Don't be mean about it. Just tell them how you feel about it! About your friend. You never know what could happen when you show him the fandom. My friend got me into it by showing me a cool song. I was so curious about the song, I had to watch the show! I would show him the first two of the first season and then your favorite episodes. Even if he doesn't love it, if he is a true friend, he will stick with you. Stay strong, dude. Brohoof! /)

You ponies have no idea what I did when I saw that Discord was coming back. I'm pretty sure I jumped up, ran around my room and then silently screamed "YES!!!" but I'm not entirely sure. I also could have just sat there in happy shock imagining myself doing those things as I realized how awesome a Fluttershy and Discord episode could potentially be! I cannot wait for Jan. 19. I just cannot. Ugh. So. Far. AWAY! :'( I don't think that the writers are going to screw this up. They made him awesome the first time, and if they haven't suddenly turned into complete idiots, they can make him amazing the second time too. Stop doubting the writers, my friends! I don't think that they will suddenly tranform him into something he's not. Meaning, I don't think they would change him into a creature of order. He made it quite clear what he thinks of order the last time he got out. Don't worry about it! It will be awesome! Besides, it's Discord. How couldn't it be awesome?! Even if they are trying to 'reform' him. Personally, I hope he becomes neutral so that he can appear in the show more often. Not quite evil, not quite good, just enough chaos!
