A Jewel of Rarity

Hey just another art thread of mine, will be much smaller but this is just for my non pony related arts. (I don't have too many) I will just dump them all here ^^ (most of my non pony stuff is either a trace or minimalist design)

heya everyone, Jewels here. I just though I would make a nice art thread to share my art and get opinions on it. Firstly here is my OC Shyra: That image is actually her new design as I got bored of her older more bland styled mane and I always made her scars red which made it look like they were always fresh. Here is an image of her old design And here is an image showing how much my art has progressed with Shyra Shyra is one of my two main OCs, her personality is a mix between my best friend and my online persona. My other OC is called Sapphire Charmer and her personality is more based on the real me, as with Shyra I re-designed her too so I will show her new design then her old. New: Old: As you may have noticed I do use bases which I am not too happy with, I feel like it is holding me back from what I can really do, I have done a few images without a base using Paint tool sai. I'm not the most confident with my skills when it comes to using my tablet so I haven't done much. Here is some other Pony related art I have done just to end off this initial post. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I became a fan out of curiosity for the show and wondered what all the fuss was about. Hey everyone, I'm Laura but online I'm known as A Jewel of Rarity or Jewel for short. I used to be a member here over 3 years ago but some things happened and I had to leave (I will not go into detail) I've been a member of the MLP community for what feels like years now, the show in the past has helped me with depression and the community has helped with that as well. Without the MLP community I wouldn't be who I am today. Long ago when I was still an active user on this forum I used to do very basic art stuff like re-colors and basic signatures (I even had a signature shop) without this community my interest in art would have never been sparked and I would have never went on to pursue that as my career. Here is a few things I have done: I have come a long way from just recoloring Lyra, slapping some wings on her and calling her my OC. I have also made a huge change in my life, any of you who have been here all this time I was gone you would have known me as male but that is no longer the case. I am a Transgender female now. I came out a while ago but only recently have I come out IRL and began my transition. This is pretty much all I have to say off the top of my head but if you are curious about anything feel free to shoot me a question, I will be more than happy to awnser.
