Gray's glasses moved all the way to the far end of his nose because of his little outburst and listened intensely to what the changeling had to say. He faced the changeling one final time, while still having a angered expression he did seem to have calmed down a little bit. "You bet I know why you aren't able to get one and with good reason, I do feel sorry for the owners of this Inn who have to put up with you.. Considering you could seduct any of the customers coming through without them even noticing.." he said arrogantly with the intension of insulting the changeling. "..and I won't harass you further because I'd rather stay outside in the rain then share any space with such a monstrosity." he swiftly turned away from the changeling, putted his glasses back on their intended position and placed a few bits next to his halfy finished cup of tea. Gray faced Lingo while still having a uncomfortable expression. "Thank you for your hospitality, I must however question your choice of employees.. Good day." he said and he turned to the direction of the exit and left the Inn, anything said to him while leaving is ignored by his pride and stubborness. Gray knew he wasn't fully right with the case he made, but he was to prideful to openly admit it to others or himself.. He also left in case it would take a turn on the worse (On his part). "..Some wounds take a long time to heal." he thought while being annoyed by himself. He stepped outside into the rain and followed the road he left a while ago and thought "This is one place I'll surely never come again."

Gray's face turned to the door as it opened and he almost let his cup of tea fall on the ground, for he saw a changeling, the kind who attacked Canterlot not long ago and Gray would know.. he was there after all! "What in the blazes is a changeling doing here?!" Gray thought panickly. "I shouldn't worry though, there are lots of ponies in here.. If it tries anything tricky.." Gray took a quick of sip his tea to calm down. He noticed the changeling was coming towards the bar, towards Lingo it seems.. "How in the world would they be related?" he thought. The changeling came closer and started talking to Lingo, but then she did something that Gray could not tolerate.. She changed herself into Princess Luna and his face turned red of anger. "Calm down, Gray.. Come on now.." he thought and took another sip of his tea. Then Lingo did something Gray expected the least, she announced that the changeling works here as a barmaid. Finally Gray snapped.. "What?!" he said rather loud towards Lingo. "A Changeling works here, in a Inn?!". Gray had a rather angry look on his face and glared at the fake Princess Luna. "Please, do explain!" he said rather demanding.

I just saw this on Equestria Daily and I'm just gonna share it for it is adorable.

Gray nodded and said "Off you go then." he also just realised he was eating lunch because Moonshadow pointed it out, something he also forgot while having the conversation. He grabbed his sandwich and took another bite, the bread became a little dry.. but he didn't mind. "Bye." he heard from Moonshadow who was walking away and Gray nodded in response while his moustache was filled with crumbs. "The ponies here seem to be very sociable.. Good." he thought and continued eating his little lunch.

Gray nodded and seemed satisfied. "Glad to see he took it well.." he thought anxiously. "Hmm?" said Gray, he actually forgot he didn't live here for a second since he was lost in the conversation.. "Oh, yes..Of course!" Gray smiled while being a little embarrassed. "You could say it some some sort of vacation, I'm trying to see the rest of Equestria.. However, I don't really have that much experience and wanna take it step by step." he said and thought he perhaps revealed a little too much but shrudded of the thought and went and to tell Moonshadow the whole bunch. A few seconds past until Gray continued speaking; I've lived in Baltimore almost my whole life and conveniently enough a cousin of mine back in Canterlot had a house here in Ponyville and she never really used it so she allowed me to live here for awhile, I've yet have go there.. Thought I'd see a little more of Ponyville before I go there and meet some of the ponies.. Like you!" he winked at Moonshadow.

"Why I-" Gray started.. but then he noticed that Lingo was already pouring the tea and so stopped his sentence, first a little flustered he quickly changed that expression and let out a small chuckle. Gray looked at Lingo as she placed the tea infront of him.. "Thank you." he said in response. Gray raised his right eyebrow when he noticed Lingo was pouring and 'handed' the cup of cider to Autumn while still looking at him. "She sure has expertise in her work.." he thought. "Well, I'm sorry to disappoint but I just ran into this seemingly abandoned cottage in order to find shelter from the rain and it turned out be an Inn instead.. Of all places!" Gray responded to Lingo's question. "Nothing really exciting.." he said in a kind of sad manner. Gray finally noticed that Lingo was staring at his moustache most of the time. "..But it seems my moustache will make up for it." he said jokingly and winked at Lingo. He chuckled at his own little joke and took a sip from his tea.

Gray had a surprised look on his face after Moonshadow's outburst of words and he chuckled. "He seems like a very nice and caring pony, if not a little too excited and ambitious.." Gray took in all the information he was given by Moonshadow, from all the words he spoke to his behaviour and said: "First of all, Thank you for the compliment.. I shall return this favor by saying you are a very nice pony by actually feeling compelled to introduce yourself, that your job is commendable and that you are very ambitious with it yourself!" Gray smiles and nods at Moonshadow, Gray continued; "Second, I don't mind ponies who talk about the things they love or show how ambitious they work with them.. Again, I adore that you can have such great ambition in yourself that you actually keep on explaining without even fully realising it yourself." Gray chuckled at his own little remark and still continued on speaking: "..and third, a piece of advice: Do try to get some breaks when you are talking about something with someweone.. Or the conversation will be like this one; 'You say a leap of lines and words and then I say a leap of lines and words..' Almost like it is some kind of obligation." Gray smiles and hopes it all got through to Moonshadow. Gray looks very satisfied with what he said and did think he perhaps went a little overboard, considering they just met. "Ooh well." he thought. "Lets just see how he responds."

Gray was caught of guard by the pony, for he was just waiting for the responses of the other two he just had a small conversation with. "They sure like to talk in here." he thought but when he heard the pony complimenting his moustache he bulked up a little and looked very pride and happy. "Why thank y-" Gray tried to respond but the pony instantly continued with her talking, Gray smirked at this little interruption. Gray chuckled and responded by saying; "My name is Gray.. Gray Cover." Gray heard the word "radigator cider" and he thought "That is a strange name for a cider, I'm not gonna take any risks.. this place is unfamilair after all." "Thank you, but.. I don't suppose you serve tea here, would you?" Gray asked in a curious manner. As he said the following Gray inspected the earth pony with more precision, noticing nothing really extraordinary about her he got some inner relief and thought; "Atleast there is one civilised looking pony around here, I shouldn't judge that fast though.. Haven't seen anyone else in the Inn yet."

Gray was lost in thought while eating his sandwich; "I should probably head to my cousin's house after this, but there is plenty of time.. perhaps I can-" Gray's eyes focused on the unicorn who suddenly introduced himself, he raised a eyebrow but then his proper manners quickly took over and he smiled. "Why, hello there!" Gray said enthousiastically to the unicorn "The name is Gray.. Gray Cover, it is a pleasure.. Is there something I can do for you?" As Gray spoke these words he inspected the unicorn with more precision, "Nothing truly out of the ordinary." he thought, Gray did ponder about his cutie mark though.. "A moon? I wonder where his potential lies.." Gray putted his sandwich beside him, for he is expecting a conversation and thinks it is a little rude to eat while having one.

A smirk appeared on Gray's face, he is glad to see formality at places he has never been before.. "Gray Cover, it is a pleasure- Ah, just a second." Gray took out a blue napkin from his raincoat's pocket and cleans his hooves with it, when he is done he firmly accepts the hoof of the pony reaching out to him and shakes it. While Gray shakes the pegasus' hoof he inspects her and frowns a little at her long mane and tail.. but his eyebrows go all the way up when noticing she doesn't have a cutie mark! "That is extraordinary." Gray thought, he however gets a grip stops frowning and staring at her and makes direct eye contact with her dark black eyes. "Best of the Multiverse, you said? Ha, such humour.. Though I must say I'm quite surprised and lucky that this little cottage contained a Inn.. magic, no doubt!" Gray smiles and nods, confirming his theory. Gray then turns his face towards the exotic coloured unicorn and thought; "More extraordinary things." "What are you talking about, friend? I just entered this seemingly abandoned cottage while trying to hide from the rain and it turned out to be a Inn." Gray looked at the unicorn with a confused expression while tilting his head sideways a little, then he straigthens up and smiles. "..but I'll certainly rest here for some time.. atleast until the rain outside simmers down."

Gray was staring outside the train wagon's window.. "I wonder how life is there.. In Ponyville." he thought. While thinking about Ponyville he did not pay heed to the bumps of the moving train or the fast passing landscapes outside. "It may be quiet or perhaps over-crowded and lively.. the people could be social and caring or maybe rude and suspicious.. Who knows?" he thought anxiously and shrugged to his minor reflection in the window. To Gray's surprise the train stopped and thought: "We're here already? I really must have dozed off." Gray quickly grabbed his plain looking leather saddle bag and bound it around his middle he then stood up from his seat and walked towards the exit of the train, he walked through and stepped on the perron of the Ponyville Station, he breathed in the fresh air and then looked around searching for a station map of Ponyville. "Aha!" Gray said, he spotted one of the big maps on the wall of the station. Gray inspected the map and thought "I suppose I shall head for the Town Square first.." Gray made his decision and walked towards Ponyville Town Square.. this took him a few minutes for the station wasn't that close to the village. Once Gray arrived at the Town Square he went near the fountain and found a bench to sit down on.. He opened his saddle bag and removed a salad sandwich from it. Gray greedily took a bite from the sandwhich and thought: "Now what?"

"BAM!" The door was slammed open with a loud thud, a soaked raincoat wearing pony runs into the building and slowly comes to a halt.. He sighs of relief. "Phew, fancy tha-" The soaked pony looks around suddenly realising the building is quite crowded. "What the hay?!". He seems startled and the hood of his raincoat drops down revealing his (wet)moustache covered face. "No, no.. That can't be right.. I just-" The mutterering pony takes off his foggy glasses and attempts to clean them with his hoof. He puts the glasses back on, stares at all the people inside the building, takes a deep breath and asks in a calm and collected voice "May I ask.. where I am?" In a way like the former events didn't happen at all.
