ITT: people forgot that even the goddamn Twilight Sparkle had difficulty casting magic when she was Sweetie Belle's age It's very stupid to see that any unicorn should be as powerful as Twilie, or as bizarrely strong as Pumpkin Cake on her infancy when it's already stated that all baby unicorn have random magic outburst that's likely won't be permanent :/ -

Nyx is not really that Mary Sue per se... In my opinion, the uneasy parts come from where Twilight Sparkle acts very unlike herself when it's comes to Nyx's being, and how easy it is for Nyx to 'rise'. Can't really say anything without spoiling it for you -
