  1. I got Fluttershy. I was expecting to get Twilight Sparkle, but after reading her description I agree that I'm like Fluttershy in many ways. According to the quiz I've got a lot of Twilight and Applejack in me, too - quiet, loves books, honest and hardworking - that's definitely me. I'm very happy with my result.
  2. I feel...slightly awkward. But I think the cashier just assumes I'm buying toys for my little sister or something. Plus, I'm a girl, so I don't get as many weird looks as a guy might. Though if I saw a guy buying MLP stuff I'd be really happy - there don't seem to be many fans of the show in my area (or maybe they're just keeping their bronydom hidden)
  3. I've noticed while reading through this thread that girls are always referred to as 'pegasister girlfriends'. What about 'brony girlfriend'? Wouldn't that work, too? Not that it really matters, I just thought it was interesting.
  4. Present! *smiles and holds hand up* I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (we're more commonly known as Mormons) and I'm happy to have found this thread. It's nice to see that I'm not alone in my faith in God here, both with regards to the internet and the brony community.
  5. I've found myself going back and watching old episodes. Also I've been travelling a lot lately, so there's always time for me to practice drawing ponies while sitting in airports. When I get home I'm going to start making customs. I do need a break from ponies sometimes, but I always find myself coming back to this fandom. *shrug* I think it's only natural to go through up and down periods with fandoms. I used to be obsessed with Pokemon, but I no longer play the games anymore and I haven't kept up with it since Diamond and Pearl came out - but I'm still fond of it and I'll probably never get rid of my Lugia plushie. And the day will come when I don't watch My Little Pony anymore, too, but there's nothing wrong with enjoying being part of this fandom as long as I'm still interested in it. Of course, it's not very healthy to allow yourself to obsess too much over a fandom - I'm in college, so I definitely can't be thinking about ponies all the time. Everything in moderation.
  6. Hello, nice to meet you! Welcome to the forum! *smiles and hands you a muffin*
  7. I'm curious about others' opinions on this. What do you think is the best episode to introduce someone to the show? Personally I think "Lesson Zero" would be a good one. Thoughts?
  8. If I did switch my avatar, it'd be Doctor Who related for sure. *wanders away*
  9. They definitely won't can the rest of the Mane 6. I still have a feeling that RD is going to become a Wonderbolt eventually. Plus, Hasbro still needs them to sell more toys.
  10. Hmm, when did I become a brony...I saw a bunch of pony images popping up all over the web in deviantART, various forums, that sort of thing. Especially Fluttershy. There was lots and lots of Fluttershy all over the net, and that's what motivated me to "see what this pony business was all about." And so I watched the first episode on YouTube and now here I am today. So I guess it's thanks to Fluttershy that I became a brony o__o But it's thanks to Doctor Whooves and Derpy that I stayed!
  11. Hi! I'm new, too. I think this seems like a pretty cool forum, so maybe we'll see each other around sometime!
  12. That's right, I'm new here! You can call me Hazel Beam. I joined the MLP Forums so I could have people to talk about my love of ponies with, since my college roommates and family are typically are weirded out by my fascination with Friendship is Magic and wonder why someone 'my age' is into that sort of thing. But hey, I know I'm not the only one, so it's all good. I'm happy to be here, and I hope to make a few online brony friends, maybe. So, here's a little bit about me. Doctor Whooves is best pony. The end. (Though honestly, for me he's tied with Derpy.) Anyway, while you're here I have a question for you. I've always wondered, if you were to introduce someone to MLP: FiM for the first time, what would be the first episode you showed them? What, in your opinion, would be the best introductory episode to the show? Personally I think Winter Wrap Up is a good one, if only because it has my favorite song in it. (I showed my sister the Royal Wedding episode to try and show her why I love the show, and she thought it was 'too dramatic.') But what do you think? What's the best introductory episode for someone new to MLP?
