  1. awesome! I'd love to hear your work and give some feedback! just send me a link if you're up for it!
  2. Assistants eh?...well I have thought of getting a few minions together to aid me in my quest for world domination...yes yes...you will be perfect!...*rubs hooves together deviously* Spelling jokes aside, thank you for your kind words and offering of assistance. Nice to know ya care!
  3. hey there! I'm new as well! Venture's the name! Welcome to the site! good to meet you.
  4. I find her to be underdeveloped...I'd like to see some backstory from her...As to her design, she's a zebra...I expected her to look like one...I mean, yeah...I guess the ponies don't look that much like real ponies...but I think zecora's design is a good caricature. The rhyming doesn't bother me really...and neither does the accent/race. I feel she's a welcome addition, but like princess luna...needs more screentime, and more story. (on a side note...YAY! I became a muffin!...WAIT...derpy...what are you doing? derpy...stahp!!!)
  5. lol, sure! and thank you again...I most certainly will! I've been up since yesterday, so I've had little sleep as well...I should probably turn in soon too...as soon as this project is finished...which may take a couple days...I need some coffee...
  6. I love classical music! My granddad (RIP) was an incredibly talented opera singer, and my grandmum a concert pianist! My parents and I were living with them for the first years of my life while my dad was getting his degree, so I was constantly around it. Classical is such a beautiful and underrated genre...while it's not for everyone, I find it to be one of the most emotional driving genres of any type of music. It's sort of one of the reasons I enjoy Electronic music...the melodies, the buildups, the climaxes, the drive...all that is found in classical as well! It's definitely one of my top favs... Onto the 80's...I've never been much of a mainstream guy...but the 80's mainstream (even though hit and miss at times) was pretty awesome. it just had that special "vibe" to it...the signature electroish drums, the vocal processors, the electric piano riffs/ballads... There were some great hits back then that still hold up today..."The Promise" by When in Rome is one of my all time favourites... As for the modern mainstream...I'm not a fan really...it takes much to impress me with the modern scene these days. A lot of it just sounds the same...really watered down pop music. I loved the 90's pop music simply for the instrumentals, and the catchy melodies/riffs...but now, even that's been eliminated from the equation...don't get me wrong though, occasionally a gem will slip into the malestrom...but they're very few and far between IMO. But yeah, those are my general thoughts...
  7. Wow...so many replies! I don't know what to say... What a warm welcome! In all my years of forum fun, I've never had such a great response in such little time! I guess friendship really is magic eh?...As for the music questions n' stuff, you can check out some demo's etc. @ Soundcloud.com/wrillezbasics. There's a lot of unreleased stuff that'll be up there within the next couple weeks (In preperation for the album) so hopefully that'll be something you guys can enjoy (If you like that kinda thing). As for favourite artists (@elbojo) There's too many to choose...I love most of the EDM subgenres...everything from speedcore to uplifting trance and dubstep. Basically anything atmospheric, melodic, or ragingly epic is the type of stuff I'm into. I like daft's older stuff, but I'd be a fool to deny their prominence. Thank you btw @Anishna for your comment on the mashup!...I'm a big kingdom hearts fan, so I just had to do the two together! Anyway, thanks again guys for the love and support means so much! I can tell I'm gonna love it here!

Thank you! I look forward to this as well! I've been looking for a good MLP community, and I'm already glad I chose this one! Thanks for the add btw, first friend I've made here! And hopefully not the last! :)

  9. Hey there! I've been lurking the forums here on occasion, and am excited to finally join this awesome community! I suppose I should do the usual internet forum thing, and give a few details about who I am... If you like, you can call me Venture, Brill, etc. It doesn't really matter...Most people on the interwebz know me as "Wrillez Basics"...or just "Wrillz" for short. I'm a electronic music producer/DJ signed to Soundwaves Records. Brilliant Venture is a side project I've been working on while I finish my current Wrillez Basics LP. I'm planning on getting into the whole "pony remix" genre (or whatever it is you'd like to call it) and I've got loads of ideas for material, and I can't wait to start! But yeah, that's where the name comes from. As far as the show goes, I guess I'm kind of a late bloomer...I was aware of the brony fandom and the show's existence in 2010/2011 but was hesitant to watch it due to the fear of "becoming hooked." My wife on the other hand viewed up to the halfway point of season two, and tried to get me into it, but I was still hesitant about becoming a possible "brony" and getting into the show. This last year however, my curiosity finally peaked and I sat down and said..."okay...let's do this...let's see what I've missed..." and boy was I anything but disappointed. I instantly became hooked. I watched all 3 seasons within a month, and enjoyed every bit of it...well...at least until Equestria Girls...but that's another story...But yeah, I'm still sort of a noob to the fandom, I know most of the memes, obsessions, in-jokes, controversies, and fan content...but I'm sure there's still a lot to learn. I look forward to getting to know you guys, and enjoy the endless rants/fun experiences when season 4 finally comes out! If there's anything else you wanna know about me, feel free to ask! -Venture-
