gaming Game moments that made you cry
BrilliantVenture replied to Lost Profile's topic in Media Discussion
hm...let's see... Kingdom hearts (the first one) Portal 2 Final Fantasy VII can't really think of any others atm...it takes a lot for me to cry at a video game. -
What if you were suddenly Cloned?
BrilliantVenture replied to Chivalry Knight's topic in General Discussion
that'd be kinda sweet...but kinda weird at the same time...like, on the bright side, I'd be able to get work done much faster and have more time to do the things I love...but on the bad side...there'd be a lot of questions and possible responsibility.. for instance... would that make me its caretaker? the fact that it suddenly appeared from thin air means it has no parents, no family, and no home/resources or whatever...so I'd either have to take it in, or just let it wander... What if it thought my mom and dad was its mom and dad? and my wife was its wife?...that'd get mega awkward in many departments... what if it hated me and went on a rampage in my name and ruined my reputation/clean record and caused me much trouble?... I think people overlook these details...you wouldn't generally be able to assume complete control over it...and if could, that'd have some downsides as well...especially morally... well...that's all I can think of for now...perhaps I'll post more on the subject later... -

there are some certainly interesting opinions/ideas here...but in all honesty, I think the earth ponies are simply that good because...well...they HAVE to be that good to compete...take a small family business for instance...they have to compete with all the big corporations and big names, so they have to try extra hard and make a super quality product...much like applejack's family cider...why is it so good? because they take serious pride in their work and go the extra mile...just like the cake's cakes and such...Not saying the other pegasi and unicorns don't do a similar thing because they do...but the earth pony I believe, has the magic of care, and hard work...that's my opinion/take on the subject!

I joined for teh ponies, and I'll stay for teh ponies...so...ponies. But really, to be honest, I didn't really like their human forms that much, it reminded me too much of bratz dolls and stuff of that nature...and the facial colours made me flashback to doug on nickelodeon...however, there are a few exceptions...I think applejack and pinkie crossed over well...and vinyl...was pretty amazing...but in the end, I gotta go with the ponies I know and love...

Whats your favorite kind of soup?
BrilliantVenture replied to Thundershock's topic in General Discussion
hmm...I enjoy multiple soups...it's hard to have a favourite really... I like minestrone, enchilada, broccoli cheese, wonton, italian, gumbo, chicken noodle...there's probably a bunch more, but I think I'll leave it at that for now... -

Here's the thing...my parents had degrees in special education and such, and I looked over the paperwork on occasion, and I have to say I think the entire notion of aspergers is incredibly idiotic...to label someone as "troubled" or having a "disorder" because they like things to a greater extent, or based on how social they are is absolutely preposterous! Here's some of the stuff I remember from reading... "Signs that your child may have aspergers syndrome" 1.He will become obsessed with a certain thing and think of it often... ok...so it's okay for people that play american football, tennis, swimming, etc. to think of it all the time, and to compete and excel or someone who is a musician and practices an instrument every day for hours, or someone who has a wife, or girlfriend and thinks of them often...all that's seen as normal...but someone who likes my little pony, or things seen as "abnormal" by others who don't share that interest in that nature...obviously have problems right??? people like different things...why call certain people "unwell" just for having an interest or hobby different than most? Plus, some people just want to get better at things, or gain knowledge of things...you could say I'm obsessed with music/djing...but all I want is to get better at it to be the best I can be...I have a life outside of that too! it's crazy to think that people wanting to better themselves, or enjoy a hobby is seen as a negative trait... 2.They may have a hard time socializing with others, and prefer to keep to themselves... are you kidding me? so just because someone doesn't have that much interest in other people's sometimes mundane tasks, you're mentally disabled? I went to school where the things most people were interested in was reality tv, sports, top40 music, and gossip...why would I want to get into that? it wasn't my interest...so yeah, I was kind of a loner...but that doesn't mean I was mentally disabled, I just wasn't interested in their habits. 3.They may have a hard time understanding other people, and taking things too literally. That has more to do with how the kids were raised rather than their psychological state...if parents raise their kids to be too trusting, and the school they happen to be in is filled with scammers and people that want to take advantage of your kid simply because he/she is a nice person...then whose fault is that? definitely not the kid's... and those are only a few traits! there were a ton more like that... To me, it just seemed like an opportunity to make money by telling others they need drugs/special trainers to get through life, when really there's nothing wrong with them at all...people are different and come in all shapes and sizes, with different abilities and likes/dislikes...why label people anything other than "people?" Then again this is all just opinion, feel free to disagree...but I just feel diagnosis such as this is better left undone...to me, it's about as false as Rarities eyelashes...
